This company is such a scam. One attorney I spoke to said YP.com has made a business out of suing people and companies. I signed up for a 1 year contract. I did not get any get any good leads or advertising from the company after I paid them $12000 for the year.

I did not re-sign the contract but they say I did and owe them for 1 year. They take you to court in a court in Georgia that obviously favors them. The Attorneys are in North Carolina. I do not live in Georgia and cannot afford to go there for a court date. I sent multiple letters to the court and YP.com regarding this issue. It was dismissed twice and the third time they must have had a judge that is on their payroll.

They got a judgement and are threatening to garnish my wages and bank account (my personal). I run a business. DO NOT use these people. They do not do what they say they will do for you and in the end they scam you and sue you for profit. I am talking to multiple attorneys about a class action lawsuit about this company.

Too bad they turned into this type of company, considering they did a great service to many people before the internet. Now they are trying to stay relevant, but it is obviously not working so they have to sue people for money instead. SCAM!

Signed an agency contract with YP.com. Started advertising my clients with YP. Had every client i signed up have services added and over billing issues for all of them. It was taking months of hour long phone calls and getting no where. When ther rep that signed me up for agency program left YP.com i stopped getting my commissions for around 10 months.

Instead of paying my agency YP started making up reasons and misleading billing while telling my clients to cancel with my agency and directly deal with YP. I spoke out about the way YP was not following our signed agreement and talking with my clients they had a lawyer come into the picture. He promised me staements that wee never provided even when our contract says I am to get them monthly. He was going to look into all the issues and agreement vilolations that had been done by YP but instead of paying commissions or honoring agreements he just stopped communicatiing with us. There is and ongoing company wide policy of string customers and agencys along for many months and even years with the hope of us just going away and not having to provide customer service that honors the contracts we all signed.

i am not going away. I fact i know there are 10,000 of thousands of businesses and agencies that YP has not fullfilled what their agreements state. I believe a class action law suit that includes everyone nation wide is needed to bring out the truth about the dishonest practices of YP.com. I can go on about their reps that add services or additional items to contracts and when the business calls in to have it icorrected it takes months and the reps who dishonestly billed businesses for services that were never agreed too just keep working and nothing ever happens to them. In fact it is a business practices that managers have the reps do so the numbers and commssions they all get paid keep showing up on their checks. How do I know this. My brother was the manager of Orange County YP.com books. He no longer working for them. He could not take it.

For many years our church advertised in the Yellow Pages. We made the decision in early 2015 to not renew our contract with YP.com. In fact the last authorization we made and which they have on file is our authoritzation in October 2014 for the local phone directory yellow pages for 2015. We did not renew in 2015 or ever again. They stopped billing us but suddenly out of the blue in June of 2017 began billing us for services we did not ask for or authorize. Trying to get resolution to this has proved next to impossible. I would ask how a reputable company can do this as it is a total disregard for ethics and fairness. Think about this: If they start billing just 1% of their former customers who didn't ask for or authorize their services, it could result in millions of dollars of income, albeit fraudulently obtained. In this case, it at the expense in this case of a small church, a non profit. We will do everything to fight this, but we want to post this online to at least alert others who may be experiencing this out of the blue billing by yp.com that you are not alone. If someone is going to do a lawsuit of any kind against yp.com, we'd be interested in joining in.

I have used YP advertising for 10+ years for my company, each year going through a nightmare of sales tricks and being subjected to charges for items I did not approve. Their policy is to "auto renew" the contract which they claim notice is mailed prior to the renewal date. In 10 years I never received any notice in the mail. I contacted YP myself prior to the renewal dates for my products to insure only what I wanted to renew would renew, sometimes even adding products. I specifically noted on each contract "do not auto renew without written or verbal permission" with my name, signing and initialling the document. In November I sold my business. In October I contacted YP to be sure nothing was going to auto renew and to provide alternative contact information. At that time, I was told that some of my products had automatically renewed. After lengthy discussion and proof of the signed contracts indicating no auto renewal, and their inability to produce a signed contract for the renewal period, $400+ in credits were issued including for internet advertizing that I had declined and had added to my account anyway. I was told the final bill would be $54.35 through January 17 and once they verified that the phone had been disconnected, all billing would discontinue and the account would be closed. I have received a bill in February for $194.60 and am now told I owe $339 for "renewal" advertizing. Once again I have had to call them (India) and once again have had to provide copies of my signed contracts with the "do not auto renew" on them. They insist that my advertizing was only cancelled for 2017 because I didn't notify them in advance of the autorenewals. This is ridiculous. I have friends who have been sent to collection and are continuously harrassed for advertizing they did not approve, which is why I had been so careful. If you are going to use YP be sure not to "auto renew" and be sure to keep track of when your products are scheduled for auto renew - they never all renew at the same time, another trick they have. What a rip off.

Received a phone call from Michael Brown from YP . He said we can get your business found and get you lots of business I never called them ,they called me and were very persistant and Mike Brown was becoming a pest. After Mike calling and hounding me and telling me what great marketing they have to fit my needs I said I would give it a try for only six months because $300.00 per month is alot of money if you get nothing in return. Mike said if you do it for six months they wouldn't be able to get me full exposure and not get all the benefits , so I agreed for one year but I needed my special marketing and he said he has marketing professionals . To make a long story short Im not even getting a 1 to 1 return on my $300.00 per month. He wont return my calls I try all the time and leave other managers voice mail no one returns calls and their customer service goes to the Philipines. I must have left over two dozen e mails and phone messeges and not a call back. I am refusing to pay the bill ,they lie just to get you to sign a contract and after I signed they had some other so called marketing specialist named John Nostrand call ,another scam. They dont have any marketing strategies and just about all their ads look the same. Stay far away from these people, they promise to make you happy and they say what ever it takes all lies!

We asked Yp to remove a duplicate listing that had old phone and website info. When we declined to run expensive ads Yp removed our new listing with correct info. They kept our old listing with wrong contact info and added a little tiny banner that said NEW LOCATION which of course no one sees and no calls are received anymore. All they had to do was remove the old listing. Ill bet if we had run ad contracts for $7200 a year they wouldn't have removed our new listing. Do not deal with YP as they do not do what they promise. Everyone we know whoi has run large $ ad contracts never received any calls and they won't let you cancel your contract for any reason. Big scam.

I received an invoice from a company called Yellow Page Select for $595.99 for a yellow page listing that I never authorized. I don't know if the invoice is for one yer or one month. It does state that the invoice is for a Landing Page (Contact Information with Business Description, Logo, Links to the customer website & email), Search Engine Optimization (SEO for up to 20 keywords, and Search Engine Submission.

I would consider this matter resolved if the invoice is considered null and void.I should not owe them anything. I want any derogatory information regarding this bill to my credit report removed. This may be part of a yellow pages scam.

Yellow Pages (AKA) out of Irving Tx claims I signed a document stating I would pay annually a fee of 293 dollars for my telephone listing. My company is operated by only my husband and i. I did not sign such a document, I received a letter with the incorrect number and listing description for our company. We were a brand new business only weeks old. When our phone number was published we were told we had a free listing. So...when these Yellow Page dupes contacted me by mail with the incorrect number I mistake it for a document from Yellow Pages and I corrected it from Beauty salon to Automotive. Then I dated it and mailed it back. They have now doctored this document to state I signed a contract with them for years and I agreed to pay this fee twice a year. With time passing they claim I owe in excess of 300 dollars and continue to accrue late fees and other fees. I never signed it, the document they show me to use against me is missing half of the page and is NOT the document I originally wrote on. I also never agreed to any such fees and nothing like that was in the original document. They are lying and are fictitious. They send document to new business and it will have the incorrect info on it. Because it says Yellow Pages we as busy business owners will often fix it and send it back, this is where they fraudulently change the document to state you agreed. It's a complete scam and it must be stopped. I did not pay but I am concerned they will hurt my Perfect business credit as they threaten to.

I was approached by a Yellow Pages Rep by the name of Robert Serna of Greenwood Village, CO to advertise with YP Marketing so we agreed to meet on September 2, 2015 to discuss package deals for advertising.

I agreed to try out the $800.00 per month package to try it out. Robert Serna told me that no money would be debited from my account until he notified me of the site going Live. I checked my account the next day to find out that YP debited my account for $800.00.

I called Robert Serna to ask what happened and he told me that they just checked to verify funds and that it would be refunded within 24 hours, I waited the next day to find that the money wasn't refunded yet so I asked to talk to his manager which was Sharon Miller.

I told Sharon about what had happened and she connected me to the Finance Manager Adam Washington who was able to refund my account immediately.

I told Adam Washington, Sharon Miller and Robert Serna to cancel my account and never call me again.

I thought that I was finished with YP Marketing until I checked my account again on September 15th, 2015 and found out that YP had debited my account for $960.00. I wanted to go Postal I was so Furious!!!! I called YP to tell them that I wanted my account refunded immediately and they told me that I had to go through the contract cancellation procedure.

They said that I have to make a claim and wait to see what happens! WTF!!!! These people are Professional Crooks and Thieves!! I told them to connect me to Adam Washington and they said that he doesn't do refunds, just reversals and that it will take 2 weeks to get a refund!!!

I talked to Sharon Milllers Supervisor Michael Casinelli to try and get results, What a Joke, he just tried to upsell me and offer me 1 month Free to stay with YP! There is somebody that can issue a refund immediately, but they think I'm a moron.

Whatever you do, stay away from YP MARKETING!!! These people are Liars, Thieves, and Crooks and will do whatever it takes, (INCLUDING SELLING THEIR OWN MOTHERS) to Bait & Switch people into giving their Credit Card information to steal money out of their Accounts!!!

I have reported Yellow Pages to The Attorney General, BBB, Greenwood Village Police, and my Attorney to Sue Robert Serna, Sharon Miller, Michael Casinelli for Fraud, Theft, and Deceptive Business Practices.

These people have caused me pure HELL by all of the Stress, having to close my bank account, taking off of work to go to their office and having to hire an attorney!!!

I can't believe that YP is still allowed to stay open with all of the stealing and lying

I started receiving invoices from this company about four months ago. Couldn't remember ever having contact with anyone regarding this service, so assumed that not responding would have no consequence.

I have now received an e-mail saying i have a past due balance of $361.90 and my account will be sent to collections. It also states they would like to help me create a listing, which reaffirms that i have not had any contact with them. I called the number on the invoices and e-mail and left a message. Later that day, a man with a foreign accent called. I couldn't understand what he was saying other than i think he called me a daughter of a b.

YP has been an absolute nightmare. After losing my main source of income and relying solely on my home business, I received a call offering marketing that promised to increase my business traffic with no risk. If I did not see results OR if I was unhappy with service I was allowed to cancel with no penalty. After the initial setup payment, If I chose to cancel, I would be under no further contractual obligation to pay. I canceled my program, my business shut down, I was evicted, and I moved away from the city.

Not long after, I received a call for payment. I informed the representative that I had made all payments due, that I had canceled the service, and the business was gone. They said they needed the request to be emailed to them in writing prior to May 15th. I sent them this item on January 5th. A month later I received another collection call, and I was once again asked to cancel in writing, which I did AGAIN, on February 8th.

A month later I received another call for payment. I once again told the representative that the payment due was an error, that no money was owed, that the business had shut down, and that I had canceled my service 3 times with other representatives, after which I never received follow up information, I never received confirmation, only new representatives attempting to collect a debt not owed and none ever has knowledge of previous conversations and interactions with the company.

I then began receiving calls from a collections agency. Every time I explained in detail the situation, they promised they would listen to the recorded phone calls, and respond with findings. Noone ever pulls the calls, noone ever responds, and if there are any "findings" they do not notate them for the next representative to be aware of before they call.

Today I received yet another call. I told the woman the whole story. She interrupted me several times, kept accusingly telling me what I had agreed to, but had no knowledge of previous representatives supposedly pulling the call. She was so insistant on being accusatory and rude, so positive on what I had agreed to, yet she never listened to the VERBAL agreement with her own ears. There has STILL been no written communication, no invoices, no NOTHING. I just keep getting collection calls where the caller REFUSES to pull up the recorded verbal agreement for service, and this most recent representative did not know such a recording existed. There is certainly no WRITTEN record of an agreement with this company so if they have no record of the verbal recording, than there is no contract anyway.

I am absolutely red with anger at how poorly this has been handled, the moment they had their initial payment, they dropped all attempts to be friendly. They will not help with the account, they do not set it up the way you'd like, they are rude, accusatory, and blatently in the wrong. Instead of admiting the error and resolving the account, they just hang up and send a new billing rep. This has got to stop, they should be sued and if it were up to me someone would have jail time. This is sheer harrassment.
