Wicked Awesome, Inc. Reviews

  • Oct 14, 2019

Our company, Peak Marketing Service, LLC sells leads for b2b and home improvement companies all over the US. In some cases, we partner with 3rd party lead aggregators to deliver as many leads as possible. This is how we came to know Jason Renaud, who owns:

Wicked Awesome, Inc

217 Dutcher Street

Hopedale, MA 01747.

He also seems to operate under Divine Communications, Inc and possibly a company named Pinacl. We’re not sure about Pinacl, but his company website at Wicked Awesome, Inc has a page about that company, and the guy Jason said was his partner, Leo, seems to own Pinacl.

Jason Renaud, at Wicked Awesome, Inc used two website addresses, One is https://www.wickedawesomehomeimprovement.com/ and the other is http://www.divinecommunications.net (which is not currently working)

When we first got started they asked for a $2,000 deposit. At one point they changed the deal and had us make a deposit of over $5,000. In our agreement we are on a PAY PER LEAD basis, and never agreed to pay for whatever cost they might incur while trying to get those leads.

As time went on we literally had complaints from 100% of the clients where Wicked Awesome generated leads for. But, in the interest of good business, and not jumping too fast to wrong conclusions, we gave them a chance and continued buying leads.

We then had a client in the home health care ask for leads. Jay (Jason) told us he could generate leads for them. We gave him ANOHTER $2,000 deposit exclusively for this client. After 2 months went by the didn’t generate a single lead (though Jason claims they generated 1, as if that would make a difference). So, after two months on August 23, 2019, our home health care client understandably cancelled the agreement.

We asked Jay for that $2,000 deposit to be refunded, which he agreed to send. We never received that check, and on September 5, 2019 he claimed it had already been sent via ‘billpay’. As of October 15, 2019 that check still has never arrived, and we believe Jason Ranaud never actually issued that refund to us. Jay made no attempt to offer proof that the payment had been sent.

On September 11, 2019 we got an email from a client detailing how awful the leads were. The client claimed most of them were no good. My guess is the leads were fake, or at least bad quality, but it’s not my place to tell my client what to think about the leads we sell them. They decide based on their own experiences.

I told Jason the clients were upset, but he didn’t’ appear to care, and only defended his lead quality. But again, all of our clients buying his leads were complaining. Having only heard clients complain, we knew we had to stop buying leads from Wicked Awesome Inc / Divine Communications. We simply could not keep buying leads that would lead to our clients cancelling their agreements. This was a horrific experience for us and we would never recommend this company, or do business with them in the future.

Jay felt like we should give him notice of cancellation, and didn't seem to care that these leads were likely going to cost us the loss of our clients. There were so many complaints we'd have to commit intellictual suicide to keep buying them. We trust him with 6 clients, and everyone of them complained that the lead quality was awful.

In total we gave Jason Renaud at Wicked Awesome, Inc $19,304 in deposits toward his pay-per-lead program. He sent us 376 leads totaling $15,126. We asked for the $4,178 to be refunded. We have asked several times for a refund, and as of October 15, 2019 we still have not received a check from Jason Renaud.

We did everything we could to work this out without legal counsel, but Jason failed to keep his promises. Jason debated how much they owed us, and, in an effort to move forward, we reluctantly agreed to allow him to tell us what he thought was fair. On September 30, 2019 he emailed us saying that he felt the refund amount to us should be $2623.72.

This was what HE AGRREED we were due. Of course, as we were on a pay-per-lead solution, we believe we were due the full amount of $4,178, but we agreed to his settlement, and all we asked in return was that the refund be in our office no later than October 7, 2019. As of October 15, 2019 we never received a check, or even a response to our email on October 8 asking where our check was.

Jason Renaud and Wicked Awesome, Inc once again appears to have lied about mailing us a check or refunding our money.

As I see it, including the promise to refund our $2000 deposit, this makes twice that Jason Renaud has not honored his word to refund our money. To me, this is theft of the worst kind. While we are convinced that the leads he sold us we horrible in quality, that’s not the point here.

The point is his company owes us money. On two occasions he said he’d pay us. He hasn’t. If he eventually does the honorable thing and refunds us what he already agreed to, we will gladly update this post. I am not holding my breath. We will see if Jason is a man of his word, or not.
