Wayfair LLC Reviews

Wayfair has implemented a business system that allows them to charge customers twice, without allowing the victim to work with them to return the item in question. This is a fraudulent business practice that I do not appreciate becoming the victim of.

I attempted to initiate a return for a broken item by asking for a return label. Wayfair refused to provide a return label and told me to keep the broken item, while a replacement item would be shipped to me for free. This was against what I was trying to do, which was my desire to return the original item.

I am now realizing that this is a dishonest business practice that Wayfair is conducting. They waited for an additional 6 months, then placed a charge for the replacement item on my account. Because they changed their minds? They insisted that I keep the broken item. Apparently because they knew they could get paid for the broken item later.

Wayfair has the following corporate values listed on their corporate website: Relentless Customer Focus, Use Good Judgement, and Respect Others. They are directly working against the corporate values that they brag about by victimizing their customers through lies. This is NOT a good reflection on their corporate values!

I WANTED to return the broken item. I ASKED to do this. Wayfair said NO. NOW they say that they have the ability to charge me again, and I have no recourse--I cannot even return the original broken item (which is still in the box in my garage). I OFFERED to return it now and begged for a return label (again, like I did 6 months ago). However, they are claiming 6 months is too far outside of the return window, so the order is officially closed, but then how is NOT officially closed to allow to re-charge me for the same item? Why the contradictory messages? I have to assume that they are just trying to bulldoze their customers so that they feel there is no recourse but to pay them twice for the same item.

Yes, I originally attempted to resolve this through their own dispute resolution department, but because they have been told to charge customers twice, they will not work with me. All of their responses to my complaints are copied and pasted. They open it, copy and paste, then submit it so that they can show that they "responded". They see their victims as unimportant--I am just one little fish--not like I could hurt a big company like Wayfair, right? So what do they have to fear in charging me twice?

WayFair Listed a Chicken Coup and Run for a sale price. In my opinion this was either a bait and switch or a complete RIP OFF.

A week after paying in good faith, the coup part arrived but the run did not. After I reported the missing run, I was told by multiple customer service agents that the run was ordered as "replacement parts". I was given tracking numbers that never went further than "waiting for item" status in the FedX updates. All this only to be told a month and a half later that I was not going to get the run. They stated the "Manufacturer" entered the item incorrectly and there was not run. (even shows in the assebly instructions right on the website). They offered 50% refund which will not cover the retail cost of replacing the run because there is no more sale. They offered a full refund if I return the coup which was now fully constructed and occupied by10 chickens and after paying almost $200 to have it put together...and another $250 to purchase a second run which would be used somewhere e3lse once this on arrived. All the resolutions offered werre either totally unfair and unrealistic solutions for any customer to satisfy what is WAYFAIR/Manufacturer problem... or total scam. You decide which it is. It smacks of a scam to me. I think they knew the listing from the onset and strung me out for weeks and weeks hoping I would go away. Once invested in complewting the construction how do you "return it" pay to deconstruct?... pay to box it back? Totally 1000% UNFAIR WayFair...

I ordered an item in good faith. Wayfair sent the wrong color. They are deducting a return fee from my refund. They were clearly at fault. I want a full refund.

After speaking with numerous customer service personnel they refuse to credit me the full amount.

Recliner purchased 3 years ago. After 2 years, faux leather surface has disintegrated. Pieces of the covering are falling all over the floor.

It arrived in the mail and isn't even worth $20. Cheap, inferior product. I applied for a return and they are attempting to charge for returned shipping. Their advertisement clearly states free shipping. Nowhere on the advertisement does it list a disclaimer on shipping via an asterisk or a hyperlink that refers the customer to another page.

Talked to Will in customer service to complain. He talked to his manager and he or she refused to waive the shipping. So, I filed a BBB report and two other reports with my state AG and another with MA where they are located. And I've needed to dispute the item with American Express.

Their customer advocacyteam has already refused to refund the shipping. They state the return shipping is listed on their return page. Uh, no. That isn't how you properly disclose shipping costs. If the item was not free shipping, the webpage for the item should not have stated it was free. This implies both ways. As stated before, there is no disclaimer or hyperlink referring the customer to their shipping page to divulge that return shipping is charged.

This is the second problem I've had with Wayfair since July. The prior was on a vanity that they didn't deliver properly 4x.

On 1/29/2021 I ordered a bed online from Wayfair. The advertised price was $999 but then they charged me $1065. I called to get the price adjusted but they said no so I cancelled the order. I did not receive any merchandise. I have been trying to get a refund for the amount paid. At this time they still owe me $999. I have sent emails, I called their customer service several times. They keep saying that the finance department will contact me but they never do.

No emails, no calls, no voicemails. I am beginning to think that there is no finance department. That is just a ruse they use to get rid of you. I cannot believe that this company keeps ignoring me. They are keeping my money. They should be cheerfully refunding my money. At this point, nine months later, they should be paying me interest on the money!

I paid for a brand new headboard. I received an old used headboard that was returned to wayfair by another customer. It was also missing hardware and parts previous customer did not return.

Wayfair refused to give me a brand new headboard despite the fact I paid full price for a brand new item. Wayfair promised for several weeks to send missing parts that never came. Wayfair stole my $ and scammed me.

They had a sale on hot tubs and was offering a Wayfair card with 0 percent interest for 12 months. Once they shipped the hot tub they waited 2 months before they sent you a bill showing that they are changing you interest from the beginning call and made 2 different reports saying I didn't sign up for that they will not honor their advertising for the card, I told them that I was disabled and lived off a fixed income of less than 1400 a month it does not matter to them what kind of hardship that its put on me

The following add has been accompanying commercial emails I receive since I visited the site shopping for the faucet in the oil rubbed bronze finish. The add shows the faucet in the desired finish along with a price of $431.25. Nothing in the ad indicates that the stated price was for a finish other than the one pictured. However, when trying to order the faucet on the website the price was $603.75, $172.50 more than that quoted in the ad.

I contacted the company directly by email asking them to honor the price in the ad, but was told that "It can be difficult in an e-commerce setting to put all the information for various options in a concise, efficient fashion that is clear to all users!" No attempt was made to address my concerns directly.

I was hired by Wayfair.com to disassemble an office desk that needed to be returned to Wayfair. I drove 34 miles one way, disassembled the desk, packaged it for return shipping. I used 1 roll of my own shipping tape. I worked for 5&1/2 hours. I sent my invoice to the address I was given. After 30 + days, I received a letter from Wayfair financial dept telling me that they cannot process this payment without a work order or a purchase order. I wrote back telling them that I do not have a PO or a work order because your company hired me to do the work. This first response was from a person by the name of Brittany. The letters following say that they cannot find anyone by the name of Brittany in their financial dept. After 2 or 3 back and forth replies. I think that I am finally giving up.

Wayfair.com falsely advertised fake leather furniture as Top-Grain Leather on Amazon.com and subsequently sold it to me for about $1,600. I even called a salesman at Wayfair.com before buying it to double check that it was real Top-Grain leather and he assured me it was. Four years later I find the furniture is not Top-Grain Leather as they advertised and is instead fake leather. It is starting to bubble and the thin coating is peeling. I've been in communication with Wayfair.com and they refuse to acknowledge they sold me fake leather. Instead they hide behind it is past their warrenty period.

Seems they are playing dumb that they commited sales fraud and are just hoping that I will go away. Going to have to take them to court.
