Even though my Green Dot Bank / Walmart Gift card claims the FUNDS DO NOT EXPIRE (written on the back of the gift card) -- dont believe them. My last $50.01 dollars (33% of the card) of a $150 dollar Walmart gift card was JUST TAKEN. The expiration date is STILL VALID on this gift card too. All attempts to get the funds returned fell on DEAF CORRUPT ears. It is THEFT and I am declaring the Walmart Gift Card group -- thieves. I called twice and send letters to the address shown but no chance since the card appears to be inactive -- THEY TAKE THE MONEY AND DO NOT WANT TO RESOLVE IT. My remaining funds were taken September 30th 2023 and I challenged them about it in OCT 2023. "Gift Card Funds Never Expire" -- the Walmart BIG LIE. But WALMART is run by SCUM now so be adviced if you fork out money for a gift card especially during this Christmas season. And if it matters dont forget Walmart is WOKE per the www.1792Exchange.com site. So I guess they are WOKE SCUM....

From like October 2018 to now May 2019, I have been getting my social security income disability to my Walmart Money Card on Greet Dot Bank on my debit card # ending in and expires in 06/2019. Walmart Money Card/Green Dot Bank set me a brand new debit card in May 2019 since the current card that I had at time was going to expire in 06/2019.

The updated card that they sent me ending in the and expires 04/23. Also, in May 2019 the sent me a new card that ends in but expires 08/21. Today, on 05/31/2019 I received a text message early this morning telling me that my social security income disability payment of $771 was received in my account for the card that in & expires 04/23.

I noticed my account online also said that I have $771. I tried to pay two bills online, but my payment was declined. I called Walmart Money Card and they told me a vault was on my card, and they I needed to submit a copy of my photo identification and awards/benefit letter to them via email. I had sent a front copy of my photo i.d. & a photo of my award letter.

Then, they told me that they need a front and back copy of my award letter & a full photo of my award letter. I have been thoroughly complying with them and sent a photo of my driver’s permit front & back as well as front and back copy of my award letter from social security administration. They still are giving me excuses of why they can not remove the fault from my account or send my funds back to me or social security.

A customer service representative earlier told me that in order for them to send my funds back to me they would need a letter from the sender (social security administration) stating that I want the funds back & have my account # and ABA routing # on it, which I am in the middle of doing at this moment. Later on when I called them they are still giving me excuses of why they cannot send me my $771 back to me or to social security administration.

They are giving me scripted, robotic answers. What they are doing is not right because I always received my social security income disability around the 1st of every month. I am already behind in bills and in the process of having my bills disconnected due to not having paid my bills due to no cash.

They need to send my cash back to social security administration and/or remove the vault from my account so that I can spend the cash on my card and pay all of my bills and remove my $771 from their Walmart Money Card.

bought the money card about a month ago to get stuff for my son (14), had asked him to go ahead and register the card for me, the ssn came up and instead of bringing it to my attention he put in 123456789 and my dob, well after he told me about the ssn i looked up online and found its required because of terrorists (would have been nice to know upon purchase), we waited 2 weeks for the personalized card, never received iT.

Tried contacting customer service numerous times via email and get the same automated response regardless of whats typed in email, have call numerous times but get the automated service with no option to speak to a real person, based on the automated email responses it states "we were unable to verify and do not have access to the personal information you provided. we do not have control for the verification process. only your temporary card was registered and it cannot be changed. a personalized card will not be issued.

federal law requires us to obtain, verify and record your name, address, date of birth, phone number and social security number when you register a walmart card. we’re also required to keep the cardholder's information on file.

please note, this card can only be used for in-person transactions, has no cash and atm access and cannot be used online or over the phone. no further reloads and deposits will be accepted.

it is ridiculous that a simple mistake (can be rectified) is being ignored resulting in a walmart money card with hundreds of dollars on it unusable. why cant we draw money off of it? its "my" money!! the whole purpose of the card was to use it like a debit card from a bank!! well that isnt the case!!

On April 27th, 2018 I noticed that there was a charge for $181.29 to my account from a trader Joe's in San jose California. I live in mounds view Minnesota and havent been to California since I was 12 years old. I called walmart money card to dispute the charges and they sent me a form to fill out about the charge. 2 days later I found that there was a charge for McDonald's in san leandro, California for $7.13. I filled out the form for both of these charges and contacted them about the McDonald's one. They said they would send me a new card and investigate the charges. I have tried calling them numerous times but as soon as I put my information in, the call disconnects you. I have mailed letters to them with no reply.

Now today May 14th, 2018 they send me a letter saying the following: "Thank you for contacting Wal-Mart Money card regarding your dispute claim for 181.29. (Which they didnt even include the $7.13) We value our customers and take claims of this nature seriously. We have concluded our investigation and determined that we are unable to grant your claim due to the reason below: We have concluded that this is a valid authorized transaction and it will remain on your account." I don't know how the f*** it could be an authorized transaction if I DIDNT AUTHORIZE IT!! or I wasnt even in that F***** state!! I have called the police and will be taking legal action. They are a f****** fraud.

I mobile loaded a claim check the check cleared the next day but i still had to wait 7 days for my funds to be available on the same day my funds were avaible my account was closed and my card was locked.

it took me a whole other month just to get in contact with a live person and when i did how surprising not one of the 100s of people i talked to could help me they had me calling the check issuer for nothing because they cannot do anything because technically the checked has been cleared and cashed.

i contacted the check issuer once more and they needed me to call walmart moneycard customer service and have them fax a letter with an explaination as of why they closed and locked my account and why they wanted them to reissue me a check and then walmart informed me they could not tell me anything on my account or why they blocked it and for me to wait for the corporate office would call me within 24 hours

.. to begin with why would they even close my account if the check was cleared i have loaded money on that card alot and i had never had any problemsand why make the funds availabe if they werejust gunna block my use of the card and inform me that i would no longer be able to bank with that crd or any cards from that bank.

how stupid can they be and why have people answering your questions if they cant understand what you tell them and we cannot understand a dam word if what they say but they sure can prefect "we are really sorry and have a nice day" i will never again purchase a walmart moneycard nor will i reccomend anyone to get them cards.

Walmart money card Card was hacked twice. Both times it was an internet scam that I DID NIT PUT ANY CARD INFORMATION INTO! First time they refunded the money. Second time they let another $150 transaction go thru after I reported it totalling $330!. Then denied it. Well now my acct is locked. Nobody will email me back. And the automated system just tell me to go online and kicks me off! It's been 6 weeks and there should have been over $1100 on my card. Well now it's a little under $800. I was getting gas today for work and when I used my card it said insufficient funds.So I called the number and found out they had took out 209 dollars and I had a negative balance of a 117 dollars. I spoke to two operators and they said it was a reversal done by speedpay which I have not used in 2 years to pay an electric bill from duke energy in which they're claiming was a recent charge on March 18th, 2018 when actually I paid Duke Energy over the phone on March 9th and was posted on my account on the 12th.This is now the second time Walmart money card has done this from a week and a half ago.And originally it was resolved but now they are claiming it wasn't.

Users of Walmart Money Card are supposed to be able to fund their cards at any Walmart at the checkout lane cashiers. I travel all over the coungtry in the course of my work and have had my card about three years. About 50% or more of Walmart stores do not allow funding of Walmart Money Cards at the checkout lane even though Walmart Headquarters in Bentonville AR say they are supposed to.

I called Walmart Customer Service in Bentonville AR at least a dozen times over the past two years to inform them that many stores do not allow funding of the card in the checkout lanes. Instead they direct the customer to their money services dept or customer service area where they also do merchandise returns and exchanges. There are about 80% of the time VERY LONG lines at the money center departments and customer service areas.

The card is represented as a convenience however I have often been very inconvenienced by this situation having to stand in long lines with people returning merchandise or exchanging merchandise or waiting in very long lines with people at the money center departments sending money electronically or cashing checks.

Because of the many Walmart locations refusing to fund Walmart Money Cards at the checkout lanes the customer has to often wait in long lines to checkout and pay for merchandise and then stand in very long lines at the money center or customer service department to fund the money card.

Recently Walmart Money Card system debited my Walmart Money Card Debit card when the card had a zero balance resulting in a negative balance on my card and I was not able to view the transaction history to see what caused the negative balance or get information to dispute the transaction. The card is a debit card not a credit card and Walmart Money Card may be in violation of federal banking law by processing a transaction when the account has a zero balance.

As well Walmart Money Card are in breech of the user agreement between myself and Walmart Money Card services by performing a transaction that involves and extension of 'credit' (to the business that issued the debit transaction to the card) while the card has a zero balance. A second count of breech of the user agreement may be that the Walmart Money Card service restricted access to the transaction history information online of my account so that I cannot see any transactions.

When I called Walmart Money Card customer service personnel there were very abrasive and uncooperative. They refused to reverse the invalid and possibly unlawful transaction that caused the negative balance on my debit card.

Once I have completed my complaints to the California Attorney General and the US Attorney General and possibly filing a small claims lawsuit against Walmart Money Card Services in the county of the entities jurisdiction; Pasadena California I will be cancelling my debit card account with Walmart.

I think Sam Walton would be ashamed of the way Walmart is being run overall in the USA.

I purchased a Walmart money card (Green dot corp) Used it to make a few purchases on line (560.00) woke up next morning and had an email stating they blocked my card dut to suspesious activity. There was a link requireing me to send a copy of my photo id (front and back) for them to unbock my card. I took the day off work went to our local walmart customer service center they had no number or no idea what to do, called the number on back of the card as well as locating green dots off the internet. Got 8 different operaters or automated systems with no help at all!!! Everytime I emailed the link with picture of the requested info they said it was not legiable and would not un block my card. My card is still blocked, there is no customer service reps to talk to and the ones I got were rude and unhelpful. My money is still on my card and I want something done! Please help, I am ready to contact a corporate attorney aswell as our local call for action news team. Walmart moneycard and green dot are ridiculous.

I have been a firm believer until recently of Walmart money Card had many co-employees get one so direct deposit. My boss using the debit card machine placed $1000 on my card that was about six months ago. Now after fighting with WalMart at there request a letter was sent on June 9 recieved by Walmart moneycard June 2017. It was written as requested. Want to back up 5 months ago talked with someone from the fraud department when I told him I was recording him he hung up. I called back he told me he was recording me as per federal and state law I requested not to be taped. He hung up again. So I call back get someone else so I didn't tell them I was recording the conversation. He told me I needed a letter from my boss stating that he had sent the money and how it was added. They got it! now amonth later still no money now they ask for more documentation, yet they still take the monthly charge off.

Stay away from WalMart and Walmart Moneycard. Put jobs back in Ameica. I will let you know if I ever get my money. I am diabetic my meds are over $1100 a month and they keep taking . I had to go without my meds for a month and a half because of Wal mart moneycard

I bought a walmartmoney card from customer service department in the Albuquerque nm carlisle store in may 2017, i was sent a card with my name on it and it has not been able to use or load money on this card i am frustrated with the customer service, can not speak to anyone the only service is automated NO live support, rude service at the customer service department, and was told that they cannot help. something needs to be done about this company ripping off people who use there service and no way to speak to anyone. I have used walmart money card for a while now and I never had a problem til today .. I was really embarrassed today ,when I wanted to purchase some part for my car to do my tune up and also buy some food for my son .. When my card got declined.. I tried it many time still it was declined when I had a balance of 1000 and some change in my account .. I was really Schocked so I call my card to check my balance and they directed me to customer service .. which they put me on hold for 4 hours before someone got hold of me to tell me the reason why my money got on hold was because I accepted a refund on my card tht wasn't designed for it .. when I used the same card to purchase the item and they refund my money back on the card .. mind u it was about 3 weeks ago .. they didn't right to me nor call me to tell me something was wrong with the card til today they blocked the card .. they told I should go back to the store and get the receipt and email it to them before they release my money .. which will take 2 to 3 business days after they receive the receipt to be verified .. I'm so furious you have no idea.. I don't have any money on me .. all my money is in the card I have a baby to take care of .. I have bills to pay all this because of my own money .. I will cancel all my card that I have with Walmart after all this whole deal is done .. I can't be stress like this with my own money .. I'm gonna go and get all my money out their account and part ways

There was a fraudulent transaction on my account for $354.99 right before Christmas. I had been hacked somehow, and the person made an unauthorized purchase on my eBay account. I noticed it the same day and called Walmart MoneyCard to inform them. This was on December 20th, 2016. I also informed PayPal, as it looked like it was done via PayPal. The Walmart MoneyCard people canceled the card that moment, there had been 2 more fraudulent transactions after the first but those weren't going through because of lack of funds. The gentlemen I was on the phone with at Walmart MoneyCard informed me of this, so they knew it was fraudulent activity. I was told I would be sent a replacement card ASAP, as it was a few days before Christmas and I now had access to NO funds at all. I was told it would go out the next day and I would receive it by Dec 23rd or 24th. I didn't receive it until the next week.

When I called before I received the new card, I couldn't get through to speak to anyone - I had to put in the last 4 digits of my card number, and since the old one was canceled and I didn't have a new one, the automated system kept hanging up on me. When the new card finally came, I was told there would be a resolution in 10 business days, by January 3rd, 2017. In the meantime, I had spoken to PayPal, who also was checking into this. I received a message from PayPal on January 3rd stating that they have confirmed that the charges were unauthorized and that they were processing the credit back to my card.

Well, on Jan 6th I received a notice from Walmart MoneyCard that I needed to sign and email a transaction dispute form, they needed a few more details to help them with their research. Seriously? So I called and was told that the "dispute" wasn't closed, I needed to sign and return the form and that it could take up to 45 business days. I asked why, in the multiple times I spoke with someone there, why I wasn't told I would need to fill this form out. No straight answer. I also asked what was there to still research? It's obvious it was fraudulent activity. What a load of BS... I'm totally getting the runaround from them. Ridiculous and completely unacceptable. I will be filing a complaint with the BBB as well.

Update Jan 19th: I emailed the transaction dispute form pn Jan 9th. On Jan 19th I called Walmart money card and was told it was still under investigation. I asked what was there to investigate, it had proven to be a fraudulent transaction. I stated the money should have been put back in my account already and this is unacceptable for a so called financial institution. I asked how long before this would be resolved. I was told it could take 45 days. I also asked again why, in the MANY times I'd spoken with someone I wasn't told about this dispute form until Jan 3rd. I didn't get an answer, only "I apologize for that ma'am". I'm a single parent who was laid off in September 2016, this is a lot of money to me. I stated I would be speaking with a lawyer, that maybe a lawyer could get some answers.

Another Update, january 26, 07...

Spoke with David at Green Dot Corp, was told in his files it's been notated that I asked for my dispute to be closed. SERIOUSLY?? I am beyond livid right now. I was told I have to resubmit the forms and basically start over. I asked who said I asked for it to be closed? He said it's in his notes, that on Jan 9th I spoke with someone and asked for my account to be closed. Um, yes, I spoke with someone then I emailed the dispute form the 9th, if I wanted it closed, why would I do that? Whoever I deal with at Walmart Money Card doesn't seem to know what they're doing, it doesn't matter who I speak with. This is absolutely unacceptable, I've done everything as asked. It's not like it's $5. it's $354.99 and I feel like I'm just getting the runaround from everyone.

I wanted my tax return back fast so one option that was suggested to me is that I use Walmart's money card. My tax return was loaded on the card on Feb 11 2011. I tried to use the card and it said I had no balance but the IRS notified me the nearly $2000 was refunded to me via the Walmart money card. I called many time in Feb, almost daily in march and everyday in April. They change their story asked me for ID I faxed that. That was ok ... one excuse after another they have given me. Today I took off work to try and resolve this and guess what now they want some more proof of ID. I lost it but it doesn't matter to them. I have threatened them with lawsuits, news programs like 3 on your side. I have tried everything under the sun to try to get them to release my funds. As of today 04/04/11 not even a promise of help. They first send you to someone in the Philippines then if you keep complaining it goes to someone in Monrovia California.

Today I spent 6 hours on hold from my four phone calls being transferred to one representative and supervisor after another. I spoke to Kathy in Monrovia rj in the Philippines, Kathy in the Philippines, Josie in the Philippines these were just a few whose names I wrote down. Finally I called Walmart and bless her heart the represtitave said well we are GE money bank and we don't handle this. "Its like your calling the electric company about your water bill". She said maybe I should tell the store manager. I laughed out loud.

We purchased a Walmart Visa Card for 200.00 in April 2015. When we went to use the card, it was declined. Called the number on the back. The AUTOMATED SYSTEM said there was no funds available. Have the receipt and bank record for verification. Not able to speak to a live person to take care of the issue. I refuse to let them have our money. Can someone guide us in the right direction?

My husband and I have been Walmart Prepaid Card customers for over 8 years. We have our taxes direct deposited every year. It was not until they switched to Green Dot Bank that we had an issues with Walmart Money Card. I am still in disbelief over the absolute hell they have put my family through over the last 3 months. My card number was compromised and used for online charges as well as one charge from the Baymont Inn. We received a big refund this year so I did not watch our balance as close as I normally do because I knew there was plenty of money in our account. I finally began looking more in depth because the small online charges began to add up. The amount was sizable enough for me to know that something was wrong. There were over 50 fraudulent charges. I filed 2 police reports as well as filed a dispute with Walmart on March 25, 2016.

My husband and I were devastated. He is a utility pole inspector and when he works out of town, its necessary for him to have money for food and lodging which is reimbursed later. Walmart said that it would be 10 days. After about 14 days, I called them and they informed me that we were denied because of insufficient evidence. I could not believe it! My husband needed to get back to work so I decided to take matters into my own hands. I called every company where my card was used fraudulently. One after the other, I was able to get reimbursed by each company. They easily determined that the card was not used on any of my accounts. Therefore, I was able to get reimbursed for $347.68 without the help from Walmart Money Card. There were only 2 companies and the Baymont Inn which still needed to be resolved.

In order to prove my case with the Baymont Inn, I went to the motel where my husband and I had stayed for our anniversary on February 10, 2016. We were disputing a charge that happened one month later. Baymont Inn had charged my card $250 on March 19, 2016 without my authorization. They said that someone claiming to be me, paid cash for the room, but told them to use the card on file for their deposit. They smoked in a nonsmoking room, so the Baymont Inn charged my card $250. I asked them if they had any surveillance, they said it was not showing clear footage which made me speculate and become suspicious. I could see cameras right next to the front desk so not allowing me to see what footage they had on the day my card was used, made me suspect the staff. Anyways, I explained to them that there was no possible way I could have rented a room and the reason why was due to the fact that I had changed my last name to my married name on February 11, 2016.

An issue date is shown on my new drivers license. When you get a new drivers license in California, the DMV punches a hole through your old license making it invalid. I could no longer use my old license which happened to be the same name as the card someone used fraudulently at the Baymont Inn. I further suspected the crime might be employee related since someone rented a room under my name with no drivers license and used the card on file without showing the card with a valid drivers license matching that card. It would have been impossible for me to rent a room without a valid ID matching the name of the credit card on file. I collected all the new information which was a copy of my new license, marriage certificate, 2 police report case numbers, an updated police report and a copy of the room receipt from the Baymont Inn. I resubmitted my case with Walmart supplying them with all of the information on March 15, 2016. I faxed the paperwork and emailed everything as well.

This now leads me to the reason for my complaint. Not only did Walmart deny me again for the Baymont Inn, but for over 3 months Walmart Money Card has refused to allow me access to my money. Today is June 11, 2016! I have $492 credit on my account and they will not release it. We have argued and called them almost everyday. They have no right to keep money that was directly reimbursed by companies especially when it was my actions which caused them to reimburse me. They denied me on May 23, 2016 for the Baymont Inn even with all of the evidence. When I first called them regarding all of the fraudulent charges, they offered to send me out a replacement card for the account. I said that I had changed my last name to my married name so instead, they opened a new account with my married name. They still kept the old account open for the disputes, but I had no access to the money in that account.

They still have not given me any reasons or time line for when we can have our money. As I further researched the law and the fact that they claim to be FDIC approved, I realized that they are illegally doing this to us. My husband lost weeks of work because they would not give us discretionary funds and they have blocked me from having access to my money. The real shock came when they still charged us a $3 dollar monthly service fee on this account. Yet, I have no access to it. They will not let us talk to corporate. We have threatened a lawsuit, but they do not care. They will not tell me when I'll have access. They lie to us every time and say that someone will call us back, but no one ever does.

Almost $800 dollars was taken from us and it has put my family through a financial hardship and the stress has been more than I can bare. I had a breakdown due to all the stress they have put us through. They are screwing us and there seems to be nothing we can do. It is wrong! I filed a complaint with FDIC and with the Federal Reserve Bank in San Francisco. I also filed a report with the Better Business Bureau. Since filing these reports, Walmart Money Card has blocked our new account with them. They claim it was due to suspicious activity. They stated that they not only needed to close down our account, but we can no longer acquire an account with them. Once again, lies. They have no consequences for hurting innocent families. I do not know what else to do or where else to go. My hope is to rally against them with others who are victimized.

I used my Walmart MoneyCard account to make a payment of $250. When I went to check my account the next day I could not access the information and they indicated they were having technical issues. Approximately 3 days later I was finally able to access my account and saw that the payment I had made had posted to my account twice. I contacted customer service and told them I wanted to file a dispute. They told me they could not do it at that time because they thought it was still related to technical issues. I waited another few days and called back in. They then proceeded to tell me that they do actually need to open a dispute and it will take up to 10 days. I followed up multiple times and on the 10th day, I call into customer service again and speak two a supervisor. They now tell me that they need more time for the research. I asked them to tell me what I needed to provide to get this expedited. They said there was nothing and I could not speak to the person doing the investigation. I was then told they will have someone call me back in I business day.

They have now had my money for 20 days. It is not my fault that they had system issues or waited 10 days in to file a dispute with the company. Most companies would credit you back the money and if it is not a valid dispute take the money back.

I have never had such an issue in my life. If I owed them money you would bet they would have more urgency about getting the issue resolved.

I have a negative balance on my card?..I contacted them via the toll free number on the back..Talked to a customer service rep..She stated the system is being updated and many people's card balances are being affected..I asked her to look into my account, I should not have a negative balance..I have money on that card..That I cannot use..She stated yes their system administrator is working hard to resolve the issue..Check balance in a couple of hours..it should be ok..It's been 27 hours later and still my card has a negative balance..Called back only to be told the same thing..Green Dot Bank and Walmart has held my money hostage from me for over a week..

I ask to speak to the system administrator who is frantically working to resolve this problem and I get "I'm sorry we do not have a number for you to call..So..I said..You can't help me is that what your saying?..Then I'm told yes.

This is the second time this has happened..The first time my temporary card was cancelled Wich had over $1,500.00 on it..I was told it was cancelled because my new card was placed in the mail..So..I had no access to my money for 3 weeks..mind you my direct deposit was going through on this card from my employer..and it would take 2 weeks for it to be rerouted or stopped.. So here I am..Automatic payments being declined..charges being racked up..and no access to my hard earned money.. Beware of Walmart Debit Cards and Green Dot bank..

I am presently waiting for the only phone number to call walmartmoneycard.com to accept calls concerning the status of my direct deposit monies into my account. For the last 2 days the only reply this phone number gives is, " we are in the process of updating our system, sorry about any inconvenience this may have caused" then it disconnects? I have been waiting for 2 days to find out the status of my deposited monies that have not appeared to be available yet on my Walmart debit card? I have gone 2 days without access to my monies/ payroll supposedly directed deposited in my walmart moneycard account and cannot talk to a live person concerning this lack of funds. As an over the road trucker I am held hostage at this truckstop until I can find out what happened to my monies.

I went in to Wal-Mart yesterday because I had a bill that was past due and hurried to put money on this card because we left my wifes card at home by accident. We loaded 100. on the card and it went through at the register with no problems. When I finally had time to sit down and pay the bill I realized the card is expired since October. First, if it was expired why did WalMart even let me load money on this card. Now when I go to the website it says no information from this card probably due to it being expired. I need to know how do I get my money back off this card because my past due bill is not goint to wait anymore and I dont want it to affect my credit because WalMart will not give me my money back to pay it! Is there any way I can get it just transfered in my wife's account she has with yall. We both have one of these cards to use paying bills on line and ordering stuff online and it never gave us a problem until now! What am I suppose to do?!

Went to use my wallmart money card and they placed a hold on my money. They stated a merchant credited my account and then debited amout. Which it was for the same amount so why would that make any diffrence. Then I checked my account today and that was cleared but now a diffrent merchant was charged twice. One on Monday and then again on Tuesday and now that is holding my money. I phoned merchant and they said they did not charge my account twice. I have worked with these businesses for over 20 years and I never had any problems with them. Someone is definatly messing with my account.I believe it is someone in the processing department. If you call them they tell you there is nothing they can do for you!!!

Also they never send out new cards. I put $1100 on a card and went to use it the same day and it was declined because it was expired. I should have noticed it. However, I didn't nor did the person putting money on my card. Why would you process it when it is expired. Now stuck on the road traveling with no money. Called, they were no help. Even spoke with the manager she said 2 weeks to get a new card. I explained all my money was on card and all she could say is I am sorry nothing I can do. Then called back again, finally someone said they could expidite it to me. I received it in only 2 days. Why couldn't the manager just do that for me?!!

Very frustraded and stress out. I will no longer be using this card!

I purchased the "preferred" Walmart Money Card, everything was fine. I donate plasma and would put any cash I had along with transferring money off my plasma card to the walmart money card. Today I attempted to load my card and it was declined after several tries. I called the number and got an automated recording that informed me " Due to a recent review of my transaction history, my card was now blocked. I could reactivate it to pull my balance off only. I could not add funds, nor would I ever be allowed to open another account." I am a student and used this card to make online purchases for the most part. Never has there been any reason for suspicion. I have never had any attempts of fraud against this card, nor have I abused it. I had a walmart card years ago when they were with GE Bank and never had an issue. Don't know what triggered this decision, But find this very inconvenient and without merit.

Just sayin, do not use these people. They will rip off your money, say you charged items (when you did not) unauthorized money transfers, ATM withdrawels not made but taken out of your account, then told to go pound sand by some camel jockey.

There was an unauthorized $90.00 withdraw made from my walmart money card on September 2nd, 2015. I called the customer service telephone number on the back of the walmart money card to inform their customer service department of this illegal transaction and to have my $90.00 replaced back on to my card. They informed me that actually this tranaction was still pending and had yet to go through, but there was nothing I or they could do about it.

Walmart money card customer service representative Jasmine told me that if I didn't like that fact that $90.00 was being illegally stolen from my account without my authorization, that "I may file a dispute" with walmart money card after the illegal transaction has officially went through.

WTF?

This illegal and unauthorized withdraw of my money card/debit card/visa is in direct violation of the Fair Credit Billing Act of 1974.

I called wal mart and the told me to call Green Dot customer service which i did. I was told no i cannot use it untill my permanent card came in But... i could with draw the money from a ATM so i race to town after calling my bank and they said to just use their ATM well guess what DECLINED. so i called the green dot company back and was told oh sorry for the inconsistency you misunderstood, no that was a flat out lie, and all of these calls are recorded so i know what she said, Now i cannot pay my bill and it is going to ruin my credit because the company i owe a payment to sent my statement to the wrong address so it became past due and now i cannot even get the money to them. NOT RIGHT

I purchased a Green Dot Mastercard at a store and was told at the store that i could use it to pay any bill as soon as it was activated. I had looked through several cards and two ladies stating that they were long time employees and knew which card was the best. They showed me the card i purchased and i asked if i could use it right away to pay a bill over the phone and they both said yes as soon as i pay the one time fee and activate the card. I was so happy and put $200.00 on it and went home activated it and the automated computer assured me i had $200.00 on the card and could use it right away. Well the nightmare begins! I called my debtor and authorized the payment and it declined it. I lowered the amount thinking that fees were causing it to decline but it just kept declining the payment. I called the card company and was finally told i could not use it till my permanent card came in. i asked if i could withdraw the amount for my bill and she said yes at a ATM and i said oh thank you very much and i rushed into my banks ATM and it declined it several times. I went inside and the ladies tried to do it and it kept reclining. Not much fun after working a night shift and having one ahead of me. At this point i am beginning to think i have been scamed!. I went home and called Green Dot again and a different lady talked to me and said no you cannot use the ATM to get your money and she apologized for the inconsistency. I feel at this point i have been lied to so much over the last 24 hours that i donot know what to do. I kneed to pay my bill, that was the purpose of this card.
