VirtualShield Reviews

Upload speeds became unbearably slow once I moved into a home that had fiber-optics. Without any VPN, speeds were in excess of 500 MPS. With other VPNs - over 200 MPS. With Virtual Shield, 16-20 MPS.

Went through multiple sessions with their support and tried everything they suggested. Nothing worked. The problem is they are refusing to refund ONLY the prepaid portion of my subscription.

If a product's problem is not solvable, it's not fair to continue to keep monies received for it.

I have emailed them numerous times to cancel my account. I do not use it, I no longer have the app, I have emailed them at LEAST 5 times and they have taken money from me TWICE since I said to cancel my account. They claim they have "received a ticket" to "look into my request" then ignore me (and take more money without my consent) when I tell them Netflix, Disney+ and other such services don't pull this crap.

Ya cancel yer Netflix; its cancelled, no more money taken. This is a nightmare. I'm on disability; I can't afford to keep paying for services I cancelled and do not use.

5 months after signing up for a free trial, they charged my card. I called, they said I owed them for service. I said I never agreed to any billing, I signed up for the free trial, and then cancelled. Sent them the email that I cancelled prior to the trial ending. Now they refuse to talk to me, or return correspondence. I am filling fraud charges first thing Monday morning.

I'm almost too embarrassed to write this, but I was foolish enough to believe that I could get VPN protection for myself and family for 3.99 or 5.99 a month.

Before the end of the free trial, I was charged $57.20. Thank God there wasn't enough in the account at the time. However, Virtualshield has made two additional attempts to take this amount from my account.

I tried to contact someone with no success to ask why this was happening before the trial is up and why the full year when I was made to believe it was monthly.

Virtual Shield They offer a virtual private network for safe intenet use with a free 30 day trail. I installed and my computer ran so slow i could not use it. I contacted V.S. but they couldnt help so i decided to cancel but they said they could fix it, after many many attemts to resolve this issue with no results and time was ticking I thought my 30 days would run out and I would be screwed I cancelled but I had to wait for them to contact me, but never did.

2 weeks later I sent 3 emails and finally got a reply, we waived your 30 day free trial. Ok now its making sense this is a scam and I want to report Virtual Shield to save people money and the headaches. There is no way to prove there product even works and after what I went threw with costumer service these guys are rip off artists

Their website says: Plus, it's completely FREE for 30 days. You truly have nothing to lose. But these statements are lies.

And as advertised on the internet by their contracted, paid advertising service businesses, the claim is as follows:

These businesses have been advertising VirtualShield by offering a monthly fee of $3.24 to $3.99 a month, with a thirty-day FREE TRIAL period. This "MONTHLY FEE" leads many to believe they would pay that amount each month over the term of A ONE YEAR SUBSCRIPTION, but these specifics are avoided being talked about by VirtualShield until AFTER the customer provides their credit card data, at which time the customer is informed that because of the special price they are signing up for a two year subscription.

These advertisements never disclosed the term or payment procedure’s until you BIT at the BAIT, then, once you gave them your credit card information, they "began to close the trap" on you and your money.

There is no 30 day free trial period. Once they have your credit card data, they inform you that your special price requires you to prepay for a 24 month 'subscription' in which they graciously give you a FREE MONTH, a 25th month of service, and will be charging you credit card the first business day of the second month.

Once you fall for their FREE MONTH TRIAL of their service, YOU BOUGHT IT FOR TWO YEARS. NO REFUNDS.

So, their advertising is fraudulent and deceptive, and they us "classic" "BAIT & SWITCH" illegal advertising.

True "30 day free trials" means to most everyone, 'I get to drive this software for up to 30 days before committing myself to purchase the product'. Sort of like "test driving a new car before buying it." Also, the deception of "NOT DISCLOSING THE TERM OF THE SUBSCRIPTION" before taking a customer’s credit card information.

The following is VirtualShield's response to me of my complaint:
