A good day for all of us who were victims of Vincent Malavolta aka James V Aznavorian as he steals from anyone he can. This business West Coast Performance, LLC was closed down officially and is no longer in business at 3053 N Carl G Rose Hwy Hernando, Florida 34442 and the phone number 352-419-4213 is no longer in service.
It was only a matter of time for Vincent Malavolta and anyone who's owed money should file a small claims case and contact the Attorney Generals office and open a case and maybe they can put him in jail where he belongs, but a great day for celebration. This scam artist and thief will be jailed soon and his life is in the toilet like the turd he is.
I want everybody to know about Vincent J Malavolta of Long Island Performance - AKA West Coast Performance in Hernando - and AKA Antiques and Outlawz. I hired him to build me a BBC motor for my Chevelle in July of 2016 having known him thru a work aquiantence. He represented himself as a legit company that specialized in engine building. Being a mechanic myself, i figured that nothing could go wrong if I was looking over his shoulder thru the build. I agreed to give him 7500.00 for a deposit on a 9000 dollar motor that would be done in one month. As soon as I handed him the cash he was already in route to move to Ocala and start another entity as Long Island Performace was at the end of its road with scamming customers.
He would not tell me specifics of my build when I asked, not even the cubic Inch of the motor. When I gave him payment of the deposit, he gave me a recepit from a company I had never heard of.
I researched this company Antiques and Outlaws to find it was dissolved in 2005. Long Island was dissolved in 2011. West Coast does not have a tax ID#. Great, now I knew i was in trouble. A month and a half of lies and BS passed. I knew that I was getting screwed so I asked for my money back and offered to pay for any parts or labor that he had incurred. There were none. He spent my money before he even had it. He grew very belligerent and disrespectful. He always said he would return my money but it did not happen. I got police involved and any other agency I could think of. This went of for a few months then he changed his number.
Thru comments on social media I was contacted by others that were defrauded and got his new number that was an Ocala area code. I was upset and at this point he admitted to "Losing" My money, another lie but we were making progress. He has made several payments of 300 here and there but I have to hound him every month and I get every excuse of why he cannot pay. He told me to "F" off this week when I refused to change my BBB complaint and also bad reviews on the web. He threatened to stop paying if I did not remove them as it was hurting his hustle.
Bottom line is that this guy is well known in the auto world as a scammer that does not do his own work. He will take your car to another shop and have them do the work all the while without your knowledge. I know this is true from two legit shops in south florida. One the police had to get involved as the sub shop was not paid for their services and the owner wanted his car. I have never seen somebody that can lie as much as this guy.
It is 13 moths later and I have received a painful 1800 back. At this rate it will be 4 more years of having to deal with this guy. Dont be fooled by his tactics and by all means stay away. There are plenty of decent people that can actually do this work. He is as deceptive as one can be and you will have no recourse for when he pulls a fast one on you as the only thing he is well versed in is fraud and getting away with it. He knows the system and is working it to his advantage.

I've known Vincent Malavolta for over 50 years now as he's my brother and what I can say... he's had a love for the auto-industry and all of the mechanical aspects of the motor in all of its forms for long as I can remember. Vincent has been steadfast for over 40 years of his life and continually learning through the trades, vocational schooling and the best educations of all “hands on".
Vincent's drive and attitude towards building the very best in class in the custom sense from standard to the highest in performance auto-engineering are not built in my view, but are manufactured with his own brand of his own exquisite styles, look and feel with nothing but the very best in outcomes for the customers and he has many or too numerous to count over many years, so in my view... Vincent is the "Excellence of Execution" in the world of High Performance Auto -Engineering and I couldn't be more proud of him.
I think everyone knows, that being in any business with a main focus on providing the customer with the very best service at the most affordable costs in today’s economics are hard to do, but my brother has never lost focus of those main points as that allows for continued repeat business and a solid referral pattern for new business, but we live in the world of we can't please everyone as in this case and this Scamion report and we do experience those times, when customers fail to ask the most appropriate questions at the time of quote and service, but failed to understand contractually on what is being signed and we do our best in explain the terms, so "some customers" take to creating false online reviews in an effort to disparage my brothers services and this couldn't further from the truth and I encourage everyone… not to pay any attention.
West Coast Performance continues to drive the very best in quality for the customers and the surrounding communities as he has the best in class service, diagnostic equipment, full-line of service equipment for all makes and models and a solid procurement process in making sure he continually has all of the best parts available at those times of service.
