I was doing a background check or someone close to me. So I found this awesome site for only $4.95 7 day free trial. When I went back after only signing up for one day. I am unable to access my account. I contacted customer service via email. Thet responded it would take them 24 hours to get back with me. The transaction has gone through on my account and I still have no access. Apparently, from what they say is they have no account for my email address. I also never recieved a receipt from this company for the transaction. Now I am also unable to cancel my subscription and will be billed for the monthly rate. Yet, I still do not have access to my account

Scam

Make it extraordinarily difficult to cancel, monthly charges are coming no matter what. An out and out scam.

Verify past is a scam

This website baits with the initial teaser rate, then makes it impossible to verify that your account has been cancelled until after they have billed the balloon monthly rate. An out and out scam. Stay away.

scam!

Used once, tried to immediately cancel but they dont respond to emails or answer phone calls. Says email not found on the Safecart site. I feel so stupid for thinking u can really do a license plate check legally. Had to go thru the trouble of cancelling my credit card just to get this resolved.

I found more just by a google search

I wanted details about the passing of someone I knew. I found two obituaries via a google search, but couldn't find out how he had died.

Verify Past didn't even come up with the fact that he had died, nor that a relative of his had run into some legal trouble -- which was also revealed in the google search. So I cancelled the service right away.

But right away I noticed that the spam to my email account had gone from about two or three per day to almost 200. Coincidence? I would guess that they make money not from their data search service, but from selling your email address to anybody with two pennies to rub together.

If I could give it zero stars, or a negative-star rating, I would. It's just a rip-off; they should be closed down.

Steer clear, this "service" is useless in the extreme, unless you like spam.
