I got a harassing threatening phone call saying I owe a sum of over $5000 because I allegedly got a loan that I didn't pay back. They claim they tried to withdraw the amount of the loan from my bank which when I asked what bank I have they named a bank I've never heard of. I ask him to verify the loan transaction which he wasn't able to do. He said the loan was from over a year ago and I filed chapter 7 bankruptcy 6 months ago. Which even if I had got this loan which I didn't federal law prevents them from contacting me. When I informed him of this he hung up on me.
