Uber Technologies, Inc. Reviews

I am an Uber Eats driver. I use an iPhone and my software is updated to the latest iOS 15 update. Uber’s driver app is glitching bad. It has so many bugs. A well known bug is while delivering food to the customer. The app kicks you offline.

This makes it where after you delivered the food to the customer the app bug will not let you complete delivery in the app. So now you have to call customer service and when you do that they literally tell you "Instead of helping you complete the delivery, they are going to cancel the order, and you will not get your tip." When Ubers app glitches and have bugs that is Ubers fault not the driver. Not only do they take the drivers tip away they also never return the tip to the customer. They literally steal tips.

Uber is completely aware of what's going on with their app, they know it's their fault, but they are not trying to fix it, and they're blaming drivers for their app issues. This company is evil, they have deceptive business practices then try to hide behind their broken policies. Uber literally owe their drivers money. They steal tips whenever there is an app issue, also when drivers try to use the cash out feature to transfer their earnings to their bank sometimes the app glitches and their money never shows up. Then when they call customer service they don’t help and the driver ends up with none of the money he tried to transfer. Uber needs to be shutdown at this point its ridiculous.

Someone needs to step up and correct this company. I'll attach screenshots from Apple's app store reviews so you can see so many people trying to report what Uber is doing to drivers to Apple as well. See for yourself.

I checked my bill after arrival.

Added to my charge was for a portion of my ride being on a toll road although the drive was never on a toll road.

Uber says that they just add in the tolls when they give me the pre estimte evefn if no toll road will be accessed.

I would like to file a serious complaint against Uber. I am a loyal customer of Uber and spend at least several thousand dollars a year with the taxi service. I have taken nearly 1000 trips with them and have used their service in the U.S, China, the Dominican Republic and many more places. I have a high customer rating and have rated hundreds of drivers with very high ratings.

On March 12th of this year I entered an Uber and was told by the driver to get out, and that he did not like foreigners, especially Hindus (Indians). I am Indian , 2nd generation, and born and raised in the U.S. I was in gym clothes and had my backpack. I was on my way to my spinning class in a t-shirt, sneakers, and shorts. He had already started the trip so I told him that would be fine , please refund me my money. He refused. I exited the Uber and took my Iphone cord with me which I had plugged into his adapter. Once I got out he be came irate and came running at me cursing at me and screaming. Apparently I had taken his Iphone cable and not mine, I did this by mistake. He came over to me, and grabbed my hair and started pulling it ( I have semi-long hair, 5 to 7 inches long and very straight). Doing so he pulled out a chunk of my hair. Defending myself, I hit him in the face. He continued to attack me, ripping my t-shirt and throwing me onto the sidewalk. He put me in a headlock and told me that he would send someone to come and kill me, and that he knows where I live. He told me I would die like the dirty foreigner that I am. His attack lasted about 2 or 3 minutes. As you can imagine I was not prepared to engage physically with anyone. I was in my Nike sneakers and a brand new Lakers t-shirt and had my college visor on my head. I simply wanted to go to the gym. I do spinning classes 4 days a week. Once we both calmed down I asked him to pay me the $20 for my t-shirt. He had ripped it severely and it was brand new. He refused. I told him fine, so I simply walked to the gym, by myself.

Once I got home, I then sent a long comprehensive complaint to Uber , explaining that this driver was dangerous. I never received a response. Later that day I changed my Uber picture to another picture, quite candidly I was scared of what this driver said about killing me, although it was probably just out of anger, he obviously had some problems with racism, and I did not want to take any chances. I then de-activated my Uber account and re-activated another old account that I had used with Uber several months before, but had closed with my current number so that this driver could not find any further information about me.

Later that day I tried to use my Uber account and blocked from Uber. I emailed them several times and was told that I had been involved in an altercation with a driver and that i violated their terms. They blocked both my Iphones as well as my computer IP addresses. I tried to open another account but their system automatically blocked me. I emailed Uber via twitter and other methods explaining the situation and they never responded.

The next day I began to feel extreme pain in my spine. I went to the doctor several days later and had an X-ray done. They found that I had broken 2 discs in my spine, C2, and C3, they were bulging and impeding on my spinal cord. They recommended physical therapy and said i probably would not need surgery but may need it in the future. While I don't consider this to be a crime, I didn't call the police, or file any complaints about this, except that with Uber..

I have attempted to contact Uber multiple times, with no response. I am now at the point where I am ready to file a civil lawsuit against the company in the state of California , where I am a resident and where I initially registered my account nearly 5 years ago. I have also explained the situation to 2 local news reporters, at KTLA, and ABC7. My first cousin is a former attorney for the Department of Justice under Barack Obama and is currently an attorney for Akin Gump with Bar association in the state of California and willing to take on the case for free, for me. All I ever asked for Uber, was simply to reimburse me for my trip and for my t-shirt and to please screen out drivers like this. You can read my very 1st email in which I complained about this situation. That is all I ever wanted.

The responses from Uber were downright rude, disrespectful and display a blatant disregard for civil rights. Instead of taking the time to investigate this situation and racist driver, they blocked my account. I was absolutely appalled at this. I have used Uber for some 5 years now and have nothing but positive praise for the company. Several of my good friends from my graduate school even work for the company on their marketing team, at an executive level.

I was never contacted by any authority such as the police regarding this situation, and I was never contacted by Uber about this situation. The driver may have contacted the local Uber office or authority and said bad things about me as he clearly doesn't like people of color. However I was never given a chance to explain the situation. If you check the actual trip, i was indeed charged for the ride and one can see that we never left the location. I have taken some 1000 trips with Uber with very few issues, in which we always left the pickup point almost immediately. I have never had with a major altercation with a driver. I have a masters degree in investment management from a top 20 U.S. university and i have no criminal record. I am clearly not the type of individual to engage physically with anyone and had absolutely no interest in doing so with an Uber driver, someone with whom I was simply entrusting me to take me, safely, to my destination.

I am seeking a settlement from the company. I am not looking for anything egregious but I would like to be compensated for my doctor's bills, my physical therapy, t-shirt , the trip, and I would like my account reinstated. I would also like someone to reach out to me via telephone and explain to me why they blocked my account. I use Uber on a daily basis, sometimes 3 to 5 times daily. Mistakes happen, in the past, once I complained about a situation, Uber took action and reimbursed me. I was willing to allow the similar to happen. This driver was clearly very enraged over something that happened to him in the past. It clearly had nothing to do with me or anything I said or did. I was more than willing to let this situation pass had Uber not blocked my account and refused to respond to my request to have this driver fired. I have already prepared to submit this complaint to several internet review websites, and the media. and have compiled all the evidence including stories from 3 local witnesses and ready to file the civil lawsuit.

I would appreciate a quick response so that we can come to a quick settlement. I have also filed a complaint with the BBB for Uber's headquarters in San Francisco because I am a U.S. citizen and legal resident of the state of california. I first registered my 1st Uber account in the state of California. As such I have been advised by legal counsel that all such action should proceed in the state of California since Uber and I are both residents.

I ordered an Uber ride on mach 24th from queens village to my house by JFK Airport. My wife & I waited outside looking for the car, on my iphone screen the driver was turning at a nearby corner & the ETA was 1 mn.After 4 minutes we have noticed that the ride was cancelled by the Driver. We went ahead & book another one which arrived promptly after 4 minutes.

later when we get home after a while ,I got a notification that I was charged $10.00 for the cancelled Trip while my other fare was about $ 22.00 a worthty amount for the second driver.Uber sent me an email with the $10.00 bill stating when a trip is cancelled ,you are still obligated toward the driver. We understood that If I myself cancelled the Trip but not if Uber sent me a driver who doesnt know where he's going. " We waited Outside " searching for a Toyota Camry that never arrived .Our location was in a loop and the driver must take a turn which he never took.

Now I contacted my bank & told them about it and it seems like Uber refunded. one week later Uber re-charged me the same fee & also cancelled my account, to my surprise there is no way of contacting Uber.

Is there anyone out there ? this is an insane practice by Uber I want to re buke Uber for that & I think that my voice is not enough.

I just discovered 4 fraudulent transactions on my bank account debit card from 2 companies I have NEVER used or ever heard of before: "UBER TECHNOLOGIE" & "LYFT *TEMP AUT" San Fransisco CA, totalling $38.76 charges.

Contacted my bank immediately to cancel. NO one else has access to nor authorized to use my Mastercard. If those 2 companies are not directly perpetrating this fraud it is obvious that they do not properly verify ownership of any cards used for their "services".

I've also found numerous compaints from victims of the same unauthorized charges from the same companies dating back to 2012!

(5) separate charges showed up on my bank statement. I have never used Uber's service before.

Tried to call the number on they're site & it's just a recording to send inquire's to an email address.

I did this, and haven't received any response.

I had never heard of this UBER company. I got my credit card bill and there were several charges made to my credit card from this company. I tried calling this company and all you get is a message to contact them on line. When you go to their web site there is no option to contact them, only to sign up to use their services. I did not use this company in ANY way. I did not aurthorize anyoner else to use my name or credit card number to this company. There does not appear to be any way to contact this fraudlent company to even tell them what pieces of s**t they are for using or allowing someone else to use my cred card.
