The purpose of a player's pool in horseracing is to optimize your odds with knowledgeable agents deciding on the bets. For the Preakness, the odds were incredibly easy with Nyquist and Exaggerator, first and second in the Kentucky Derby and favored by "all" the professionals. You would have to be a complete idiot to have messed up on this one, especially placing multiple wagers in various combinations: super trifecta, High Five, etc. The pool was capped out at $25k. When I called customer service to see why I had lost money, I was given the runaround as I have everytime I have called them.

The agents are not well versed in their subject and they have no adequate explanation to offer. Being told that the bets were "not good" was an unsatisfactory answer. This is not just poor customer service; it verges on fraudulence. Even in a risky passtime like horse racing, a cogent explanation should be offered to explain why the winning horses were wagered on and again won, this time Exaggerator in first place and Nyquist in 3rd, but the participants in the pool LOST!!!!

I have performed much better on my own and this is a lesson learned; no more pools for me and no more Twinspires! Account is closed!

Just wanted to post a quick word of warning to all you horseplayers about twinspires. A few months back, I made a winning wager but they just refunded my money and refused to pay off my winning bet (Fair Meadows, June 4th, 2015, Race 1). They claim something happened with the tote at the track - but the race was declared official and official prices were posted at the track. I have tried for months to remedy the situation but to no avail. What is the sense in playing the horses if they will not pay you when you

win? A multi-billion dollar corporation and they would resort to a scam like this? Truly unbeleivable - but absolutely true. A word to the wise - if you don't like cheaters then avoid twinspires!
