Truth Finder Reviews

  • Jul 5, 2020

In March of 2020 I joined Truth Finder to Find a friend. Truth finder sent me some information and then I canceled my account before 7 days. As per the agreement no charges to my account would be on my credit card if I canceled within 7 days. In July I reviewed my credit card statement and Truth finder had charged my credit card account 30.69 for March, April, May and June.

I canceled again and this time I took photos of everything. Its my opinion that truth finders understands what it is doing. I looked back at all my email from them and I had zero regarding having an account. What internet company does not send out account information and advertising to a customer unless it’s trying to be covert.

The information Beware - Stay away from Truthfinder! I used Truthfinder to obtain a couple of reports. Both reports came back showing no criminal history. I later found out that one individual had a violent criminal history and served several decades in prison. Afterward, I was billed for searches that were not purchased. Numerous times, when I would search for a name, perhaps a sports or historical figure, results would include disguised links to Truthfinder. Clicking on the link would bring you to the Truthfinder site and I was automatically charged for a report, even though none was provided nor requested. Truthfinder was no help in getting this stopped. The charges were coming through iTunes. I eventually got the charges stopped by going through iTunes.

I was led to believe that you could find out any traffic infractions that was the only reason that i subscribed. I ran my name and i was told that there were more than ten different and i known that isn't correct.

I looked at my own file, just for grins, but not smiling now.

They reported i lived in mas which i never did and a dui not mine. I am at my wits end.

Horrible Company

I tried to run a report; it took so long that I cancelled the whole process. I didn't provide my credit card, thank goodness. However, I did enter my email address - big mistake. Now I am getting 15 - 20 spam emails daily, and some of them are utter filth with the F word in the subject line of the email. I don't click on any of these emails; I simply delete them. Today I did some online investigating and I am going to start forwarding these horrible spam emails to the FTC. I contacted TruthFinder and told them to stop this, but they claim they can't do anything about the third party emails. By the way, I clicked to "opt out" from any third party companies, yet I am still getting these. TruthFinder is a terrible company with no integrity whatsoever.

I ran a report on truthfinder, however, when it got to a screen where they were asking for payment. I did not purchase the report or enter any of my debit card information. I was stunned to see a hold on my debit card the next day. Apparently they found my debit card information and billed me. Perhaps i had used them a couple of months ago and they retrieved it from historical records; very crooked.

Truthfinders failed to provide any more information than I could get ffor free anywhere. After a 1.99 5 day test, I could not get any links to allow me to cancele, they charged me 29.57 and when I complained, Rubin agreed to give me (out of the goodness of his heart) 50% of the 29.57 bqack. Poor service, and very poor customer service. I used pay pal and money came out of my checking account, on a visa debit.

Keeps pushing pop ups in background

  • Feb 15, 2017

This company promotes itsself that they will provide background searches on individuals including criminal and other background checks. They do the work listing all information available on a specific individual. Once complete you click on the info and it is blocked until you sign up for a monthly service for $27 per month....but here's the catch...once you give them your cc info and you pay the $27...you then click to get your info and a black screen appears with demands to upgrade your service for more money if you want to see something other than a name nad birthdate of the individual you want information on....and if you don't the only info they give you is the person's name and birthdate, which most people already have.

I called the company and they told me unless I paid for the upgrade the rest of the information I paid $27.00 for would not be made available. This is the biggest scam EVER. They should be shut down the regulators should investigate their bait and switch scam going on.

DON'T SIGN UP FOR THIS...YOU PAY $27.00 for nothing. Thank goodness I did not take the offer to pay almot $70 for 3 months...

Went to truthfinder.com from facebook add. I signed up with credit card and tried 5 day trial for 1.00 and extra fee for additional report. Very bad site to start with. Tried to cancel same night within hours. Phone disconnected. Number no longer valid. We had to cancel our credit card to avoid identity theft and continued charges

Was trying to find out if i was being cheated on and got nothing nothing at all, i knew everything they had already given me bad scam!!!!

Don't waste your money on this rip-off. The low initial cost in only to "hook" you into paying $19.95 each for additional reposrts. The initial information in mostly useless and if you want detail on criminal records or finacial records then you will have to pay the additional 20 bucks for each new report. Even some of the initial information was totally inaccurate. I looked up my sister who is a 64 yr. old white female living in Tucson, Arizona and under her exact address and birthdate and correct relatives it showed a picture of black woman with a totally different background and education. When I called to complain I was simply told that I signed the disclaimer that noted that not all information is 100% accurate! Stay away from this website!

Inaccurate not up to date info. For $19 barely get address and phone number was looking for property info they just keep wanting more and more $ but deliver nothing and say it's only what's available to them. Then try to get your money back no way. Crooks.

I tried to get a truth finder report, but didn't realize you had to pay. I got all the way to the payment step, but never purchased the report. When i had to give my email, i did not use my personal or business emails, thank goodness. Truth finder sold the email address i provided to spam/porn sites. It was a new email and i had never received a spam email to it - the day after i went on truth finder i had 14 spam emails. Thanks for selling my info truth finder. I'm happy i didn't give you my real information. I would never provide my bank info to truth finder. I do not trust the site at all. They sold my email, i bet they would sell my other info too

Gave them money, nothing in return

  • Jul 30, 2016

Several months ago I attempted to get a report from these people. All went well until I requested the week access.

My credit card was rejected, and then they disconnected the program. I attempted to go back in, but was refused access

because my e-mail address was in use. Of course, I had paid them and have no way of recovereding my fee. They did the

exact same procedure when I request the finder this time.

The website kept me taking through the hoops asking questions about the individual i was searching...And at the end of it, asked for email, address what not anf finally 26$ to share teh report. That was a no go... So here i am after wasting my time... Just to save your time

This organization promises to provide a background report on people. I wanted to get a background report on myself to see what information is on the internet on myself. I was in a recent traffic accident that was not my fault and i wanted to see what public information was available for me. After the fact, i researched this organization and discovered it is a scam. They charged my credit card and provided me with no information. I called my bank and had to cancel my credit card. This organization is dangerous.
