Details below show Tropical Scooters and its representatives had weeks to share this scooter's history, and what followed because they did not. I was told only that the DMV would send the title via mail. I would not have bought this scooter. I was not asked if I wanted to pay the extra $2.50 for a printed paper title that could have been available at the time of purchase. The FL DMV and Motorist Services explained all dealers are required to make this offer prior to completing a sale. As a result of this deception by Tropical Scooters and its representatives, I was nearly run over when this scooter stopped running in front of another vehicle. If traffic had been more dense, that driver might easily have crashed to avoid me. Having deceived me then putting my life at risk, and possibly others, can I be reasonably expected to trust Tropical Scooter's work or anything its representatives say? September 7th: Mark Stanley showed me the Zuma scooter. Mr. Stanley said this scooter was solid and built for 60,000 miles. Mr. Stanley said he would fix problems discovered within the first month, then promptly changed that to 1 week, saying his work is supported by his reputation. After dogged convincing, a $100 deposit was put on the Zuma scooter. 18 September 2018: Mr. Stanley said a lot of customers were asking about this scooter and he couldn't hold it. A sales rep said paperwork could not be completed with a state ID, so I paid for it in full and Mr. Stanley said he would hold the scooter until early October. 02 October 2018: I returned to complete paperwork with a FL driver's license and left with the scooter.

No problems for 2 days. 04 October 2018: The scooter cut off twice while idling at an intersection. Tropical Scooters said bring it in. The idle was adjusted and the scooter seemed to run well. Still, I asked Mr. Stanley about trading for a new scooter. He said no. 05 October 2018: The scooter cut off three times within approximately 20 minutes while idling at intersections. Tropical Scooters said bring it in. A spark plug was changed and tuning was done. I was assured the scooter was okay. 19 October 2018: The scooter cut off while idling, yet turned on immediately and ran without a problem. Because it didn't happen again, I did not call Tropical Scooters. 21 October 2018: While traveling on Starkey Road about a mile before crossing Ulmerton, the scooter cut off while idling at an intersection. Carrying cold groceries, I decided to call Tropical Scooters after getting home. About half a mile further, the scooter cut off while driving 45 mph and slowed abruptly in front of another vehicle. I waived my hand at the car behind, tried turning the scooter on but there was a bad smell and a ringing sound. I let the scooter drift to the right. After traffic passed, I was able to walk the scooter into a parking lot. Tropical Scooters said tow it to them.
