Our company was delayed on providing written content for the website by 1 month. But because of the agreement, we were made to pay the entire amount upfront before the website design began. Now it takes up to 2 weeks to receive contact, lagging work (compared to what we here about his response time to peers), and multiple excuses including an unaware vacation, sickness, etc that did not have the courtesy to even tell us about the reason for delay. I was recommended through a business partner and took almost a month to agree thinking it was the right decision. It has been impossible to communicate and has been very hostile which as a young female business owner has felt very targeted. I feel used, that my $X000 may have just gone out the drain for a company that is hostile and produces no results weeks in. He has started from day 1 with arguments and it has led to my mistrust and arguments back; which now is proven through this very bad management. He outsources his work (heard by mouth) but will be upset with you for outsourcing yours. It does not make a lot of sense.

I've felt uncomfortable dealing with this company (have complained to him but recieved threats with a threat of no refund for the entire upfront amount at all) and now have lost $X000 to no work (the project started in June; it is late November). He will probably respond saying it is my fault but remember that when you pay someone $X000 for a website upfront (expecting to pay in milestones of the website updates that do not actually represent a milestone but just a month of "time") you want at least some communication, kindness, or a website. I asked for a change in design (he put pink and blue together which for education is not a nice design) I was threatened that any more would raise his fee. I am really saddened to do this because I hoped we could reconcile but at this point I only want a refund of atleast 3/4 of the payments and an apology.
