My boyfriend has been attending Townsend Treatment Center for almost nine months now. His experience with this facility has been nothing but one of grief and frustration. The people that work behind the desk are extremely unprofessional and rude. They lose my boyfriend's paperwork to prove that he has been attending continuing care and then outright lie about it, saying he hasn't come in at all. When he calls up the facility several days before he needs to get his paperwork to ask them to put it all together for when he comes in, they start complaining right away and making a million excuses why they don't have time to do it. Meanwhile when we go into his appointment, they are all sitting around behind the desk gossipping and not doing any work at all. The people working behind the desk are extremely lazy and will use any excuse to not do their job. I went in with him on April 5th, 2016 and the office manager, Bashiba, was so unprofessional when we were asking about his paperwork. She got in both of our faces screaming at us when we asked about getting the paperwork he requested a week before his appointment. This was completely inappropriate behavior and I felt very threatened and unsafe being in her presence. His doctor, Dr. Susan Julius is also very unprofessional as well. She consistently pushes a medicine that he doesn't want to take upon him on every visit even though he repeatedly says he doesn't want it and can't afford the medicine. Then she starts lecturing him on his personal expenses which is completely inappropriate and uncalled for. She also pushes the medicine Bunavil and doesn't seem to be supportive to getting him off it anytime soon, despite all his complaints of the side effects. This facility is not a good recovery program at all. They just take all your money to only push these other drugs on you that are even harder to get off of and have even worse side effects than the original drugs you were on that you came into the program to get off of. I do not recommend this place at all. I actually recommend you to run as far as you possibly can from this place. This place is crooked and a rip-off and the whole staff should be fired immediately. I'm so sad that places like this pose as a treatment center to help people get off drugs, but are actually just trying to get you hooked on other drugs and put a never ending hole in your wallet.
