My show was cancelled and they said I would get a refund. Later they sent me an email saying they would not refund my tickets and I would only get a store credit to use for a future show. This is not acceptable and I do not want a store credit, I only want my money back. It says on their website: "If an event is cancelled, you are entitled to full compensation of your order total," but when I called they told me I would not get a refund. This is terrible customer service and I will never use this service again!!!
Cannot get a refund for a show cancelled because of Covid in March 2020. Tried numerous times, get NOWHERE!
Same thing happened to me, got a credit for future show. I filed complaint with local DA office who said they get 100's of complaints every year on Theaterland America!!!! Do not ever use this company for tickets!!!!!
Purchased six tickets for a show and thought I was buying from tickets.com. Received the tickets and face value is about half of what I paid. Now the show is cancelled and they are refusing to refund $800! I will get my money back, legally!
Purchased tix, similar price as other second party sellers. Realized it was in the wrong section the moment I purchased. Called immediately to resell on my own they won’t give me the seat numbers so I can sell, won’t allow me to list on their website, won’t give me a contact to follow up for help
Just bought tix on another site. I don’t think these are real. Shame on me for not using a reputable site. I know better.
Stay away from Theatreland America
I got my kids tickets to The Lion King for Christmas and picked certain seats out because not only my children but my niece and my mother were coming to to have us all together. The company sent me the tickets, I opened up the email and it was not l the seats I had chosen. I found out they were $30 not the $78 I was charged. I called the company they refuse to do anything but maybe try and give me some credit at their store which I refused. I am still working with my credit card company to get the money back. looked very legit as a site when I called the Spokane theater they knew immediately who they were and said it was a scam, be very aware of these people!
This company looks legit, but it isn't. These people charge over 3x the price of the ticket. Don't be fooled by them. Lesson learned, though. I can't believe we were cheated by paying $200 for a $76 ticket.
Purchased concert tix and immediately realized they had switched the search to another section in the theatre. They have a no refund policy, which is standard with resale, so I called to sell those tickets on their site and said I would purchase the ones I wanted on their site.
They said they could not let me resale the tickets on their site because they were e-delivery, because it was less than 30 days to the event and because they had enough inventory already. Well, I was trading out inventory, so that made no sense. Each person had a different excuse.
I asked to have the e-delivery tickets to be delivered within 24 hours so I could sell them. They said they would work on that. I asked for a way to contact a person to follow up and they told me there was no way for them to do that. Their 800 number is extremely difficult to navigate to get a person.
I am now stuck with tickets I don't want due to an honest mistake, can not sell them elsewhere because I do not have them, and they refuse to allow me to sell them on their site or give me anyone to help me follow up on the delivery of the tickets.
Total scam artists.
I paid a fortune for zone a-bb seats to Hamilton for an elderly couple who needed the front row. Seats were delivered but late and in row x. Yahve from Theatreland told me they were the same zone, wouldn't let me speak to a supervisor. I should have done my research first. I'm embarrassed. They are thieves. pure and simple.
I purchased tickets for swan lake for $320 and when i received my ticket, it was a face value of $75!?!? And my view was completely obstructed and i couldn’t see a thing! what a ripoff!!
I contacted them and all they said is: “you can sell the tickets”!
Even if i were able to sell them, it would be for $75, losing $245 in the process. Also, what am i a ticket scalper!?
Do not buy from them!! please pass it on.
Huge Rip-off!!! Seller gave me no option but to pay $25 for overnight shipping of tix :( I could complete the order unless I did that. All venue sites I attend ALWAYS email tix to us. I immediately started trying to find a way to contact anyone of this scam but to no avail. Even the places it says to click for customer support doesn't work!!! Not only that, but I rec'd the tix a WEEK LATER the night b4 the Play!! No "overnight"!!!
That's not all....I looked at the tix and saw that they were $80 while I paid $142 plus all the rest of the charges, AND I paid for Seats in Row BB Orchestra, which told me they were down in front close to the stage!! The tix were printed for Row W all the way in the back of Orchestra!!! We tried to talk to the Usher about it, and she blew us off :( This whole experience was a joke, TOTAL RIPOFF!! Still cant get a reply from anyone, so I'm gonna hand it over to my bank for collections. I wont be using this site ever again and will be warning people about it!!
Completely ripped off by this company 2 $31 tickets and I was charged $170. Stay away for this company!

Purchased theatre tickets from this website costing me $303.01 printed out my tickets face value of these tickets $49. Tried to get in touch with is company only getvoice mail saying the they can charge more for it tickets shame on them nothing about is on the website when I purchase the tickets
I searched "California Theater of the performing arts, San bernadino California, hunchback of notredame", and theaterlandamerica.com came up as having tickets. I attempted to go to the theater website but strange I couldn't find it. Tickets were $135 each. Very expensive for San bernadino, CA. But I bought them. I just went looking for more tickets, and found them on goldstar.com for 32.50. I am completely bullsh*t right now.
I paid three times the amount my Phantom of the Opera tickets cost at the official ticket office and no indication that Theatreland America is a third party broker for people who want to exploit their high visibility on search engines to rip people off. There were plenty of seats available at our local ticket counter, which sold the tickets at $32 a piece instead of $92 as I had paid to this site. I will never use this place again.
I went online to purchase tickets to River Dance playing at the Orpheum in Memphis, TN. I did a search for Orpheum River Dance tickets and ended up on this particular website. It looked like an official site for buying tickets to the Orpheum events. I selected the tickets based on their location in the venue and was presented with a price of $99 each. I knew the tickets would be expensive so I was not really all that surprised by the price. I order the two tickets. Very soon (within a matter of 10 minutes or so) the tickets were emailed to me. I printed them out and noticed that the price on the face of the tickets was $65 (not $99). I contacted the Orpheum and discovered that the price for the tickets in my section was indeed $65. Assuming it was just an honest mistake I tried to call Theatreland but they provide no phone number. The only way to contact them was through live chat. So I entered live chat. I asked for a price adjustment and was told "no" because I had agreed to the pricing at checkout. I explained that I thought I was being charged the "going rate" for the tickets and was not aware that they were being marked up an additional $34 each. I thought I was dealing with a reputable seller that worked on behalf of the Orpheum and that I would like to either cancel my order or to have a price adjustment. They refused stating simply that I agreed to the price at checkout. All total (after adding service fees) I was charged $234 for two $65 tickets.
Buyer beware and please tell all your friends and family to watch out for this company.
Purchased tickets on 11/21/16 through Theatreland America for my daughter for Christmas ...received an email confirmation that tickets would arrive via email on or before Dec 23, 2016. Today is Dec 26 and I still do not have the tickets. The event is Dec 30 in a city 6 hour drive away...whenever I call to check on the status, I get a run around and no information at all. They say I will get the tickets in time for the event but this is Not what I was told at the time of purchase...I fear I have been scammed $350 for tickets.
