The Dump Furniture Outlet Reviews

This is for order # 620A185628. We need a refund on the mattress purchase for order #620A185628. We did not take delivery of this dirty mattress on May 12th. I watched as the delivery reps drug a thinly covered, king mattress out of their truck and tape up where two sides were torn open....while they stood in the street.

When they saw me they started dragging it into the house. It was dirty and we no longer trust the integrity of the Dump's mattress storage. I called the store to let them know...as it was being delivered. I have very bad allergies so this is not OK.

After we called to tell the front office girl we wanted to return the mattress (while the delivery men were still at our home), my husband and I decided to cancel the order and get a refund. I called her back and told her the situation. She said she could help me but she could not. I left a message for the manager and he did not call me back. I waited all afternoon.

I called the next afternoon (May 13th) and the manager seemed to be mocking and belittling me as he retold the incident...in his own twisted words. I said we needed to move on to the refund and not continue going over what happened...as we both understood the situation. He made fun of something I said and I insisted we move forward on the refund. He paused and then he decided to slam down the phone. No one has tried to call back or reach out in any way.

I made a report with the BBB. We did not take possession and we need a refund. We will file any other complaints or do what is necessary until we receive a refund on that portion of the order. We were supposed to order chairs and buy a couch too...not sure we will be back after seeing all the Dump's poor reviews.

My family and I have been long time customers. This is the first problem we've had and we feel no one seems to care. We hope to hear back soon...to resolve this situation. All we are asking for is a refund on the dirty, stained mattress...which we did not receive.

We do not trust the integity of the mattress storage at the Dump and I doubt this business needs more negative reviews. Please give us a refund. Thank you for your consideration.

We purchased a sectional and were told it was all leather. We purchased a warranty also. After a couple of years, it started ripping and cracking and the color was coming off in certain places. I called them to repair it since I purchased the warranty but was told that wasn't covered.

I didn't know at the time that it wasn't leather. This was my first "leather" purchase. I went back to the store to get my store credit for my unused warranty and bought a rug. I swore I would never be back.

After getting sick of this awful looking $2000 sofa, we started moving furniture around in planning for a new set. We flipped it over and there was the tag. The sofa came from China and has no leather in it. They even listed it as a leather sectional on the reciept! I would sue if I could. I'm so angry!!!

We purchased a sectional from The Dump (Atlanta)/ACEMA Financing in or about April 2018. The initial deliverers were unable to assemble the sectional.

We repeatedly complained to The Dump that the sectional they sold us could not be hooked up together. On 5 separate occasions, The Dump sent technicians to fix the sectional. They all failed.

Among other things, their customer service denied that they had promised any sort of refund, which they had. They repeatedly stalled, asking us for pictures of the defective sectional after initially agreeing to reimburse. They always wanted a telephone number for a supervisor or manager to call back (They never call back, despite the several promises of the CSRs, Lena Camilo? and Dequan).

The Dump also demanded that we pay the cost of returning their defective sectional; and have refused to either collect their defective sectional or give us any credit for their defective sectional, their shoddy, rude, dishonest and unprofessional customer service.

In our opinion, these are crooked con artists, who are incapable of doing any sort of honest business. Based on our own experience, we firmly believe that all prospective purchasers should beware of doing business with The Dump.

On April 7th 2018 My wife and I went to the Dump in Irving, DFW's only store that's open 3 days a week. We were interested in this sectional couch that made for a perfect fit for our home. We paid for it in full using a credit card and scheduled the delivery for 4/10/18. We watched this happnen on the computer system. We recieved a recipt that confirms the purchase and that also confirmed the delivery date. We were both told that someone would be calling us on 4/9 to schedule a delivery time for the couch on the next day. No call was ever made to us. So we called customer service and waited 20+ minutes before someone picked up....and what was said was that the delivery of the couch was NEVER scheduled in the system and that the couch that we had purchased had been sold to someone else andwas now currently out of stock due to it being discontinued. The fact that it was discontinued was nevermentioned during the purchase process. And the fact that the couch was sold to another party before we even got ours constitutes fraud. The company has refusedto refund the money and the earliest they can do anything about it is Friday. In preparation for this we had sold off the existing couches we had in house since that's what the new couch was replacing.....Now we've got an empty living room, and The Dump has $1600 of our money on something that is currently out of stock and WONT be delivered....

Desperate need of a new mattress and went to the dump with my wife and talk to the sales woman the first night at great length and was assured that if I didn’t like the product I can trade it back in considering I was having back problems. I went to several other stores and decided that I really trusted the saleswoman Amy gullia at the dump.

The following week I went back to the dump and purchased a mattress for approximately $1400. I couldn’t go back up to the dump to pick up my mattress so I had to send somebody else and when I got home I wasn’t too sure that that was the same mattress that I had bought but my wife convinced me to just go ahead and try it and see if we liked it. It took me about two weeks to realize I wasn’t adjusting to it but I had to go out of town for sales meeting in Chicago for a week and had absolutely no problems sleeping on the hotel bed.

When I came back home took another week and realized this bed just wasn’t working. I called customer service first and they told me that the particular vendor that I got the mattress from did not except exchanges. She did not care that the sales person told me that that wouldn’t be a problem as our mattress companies cover at least 30 days. I then contacted the sales woman Who said she would get on it immediately but I’ve contacted or six times since and she refuses to take my calls.

I have contacted and left messages for the store manager as well as tried to contact customer service and I’ve gotten nowhere. I look on the paperwork in the paperwork doesn’t even give a description of the mattress although it outlines perfectly the pillows that I bought nothing about the mattress to verify that I was given the wrong one. This is the biggest bait and switch scam I’ve ever seen. I really thought that a company this size would have a lot better ethics but obviously not.

I have had such a bad time with this miserable company as a customer. I spent 5 hours picking out furniture to redo my whole living room and kitchen. In this time I had to fax paperwork to the store to be approved for their 24 months no payments no interest offer and they approved me for exactly that. that offer is called an x24 offer to the employees of that store. I signed all the paperwork stating I had 0 payments and 0 interest for 24 months, and took the area rugs I had selected to my car. I later received a call saying I wasn't approved for the x24 offer but the w24 which is 24 equal payments over 24 months with no interest. still a good deal but not what I wanted so I canceled the order completely and told them to write up the rugs on a new contract and I would pay cash for them. I didn't want to drive 50 minutes back to the store just to hand them their stuff back because they cant honor their contracts. Not only did they not honor their contract, they didn't cancel it either and went on to try to deliver the furniture to me when I wasn't home (according to "the dump" and my neighbors). Now "the dump" is sticking me with the bill for almost 6k worth of furniture that was supposed to be canceled, and trying to make me make payments on it when I was supposed to have no payments no interest in the first place... I never signed a delivery slip nor did I sign any agreement other than the one that I signed in the store for 0 payments 0 interest for 24 months. How did they get a new contract with me agreeing to buy these products from them on a totally different finance structure? Your guess is as good as mine but I can tell you it wasn't legally.. Avoid this store at all costs. They may have deals on furniture but you could end up like me getting bounced back and forth between the store the main office in Virginia, the finance company, the delivery company and the police trying to sort out a simple furniture sale... btw its been since 5/28/10 that this took place and it still isn't resolved. I have since reported them to the Arizona attorney general and the federal trade commission. the store in turn has filled charges against me for "stealing" said furniture "that i never took delivery of" because I haven't made a payment on their bogus contract. I will be sueing the sh*t out of them after I am cleared of this obviously ridiculous claim

Was shopping for new mattress and adjustable base. Tried out many did find one that was to our liking. We told salesman it was nice ,soft what we were looking for. He didnt bother to tell us if we didnt like it it was not returnable or that it would not feel the same as the salefloor one. We are not happy and we spent over $1600 on a new bed and cant enjoy or sleep good in it. Will never shop there again. Beware to all.

In the beginning of December TV ads where all over the place with blow out prices on matresses. I saw an ad for King size which I believe as $499.00.

I decided to travel 45 minutes to buy one. Once I got their the sales rep told me they only had one for the price and it was really nothing. So they proceded to try and bump me into one for 1300.00, a big difference from the ads.

Seems to be it is a bait and switch tactic.

Needless to say I was not to happy about this and ready to walk out the door until the sales rep started bringing down the price.

I did buy it since I was already their and had no time to shop around.

I don t think that they should be allowed to advertise on something that most people would not buy, after all this is your sleep product to make you confortable. The ads in my opinion is a hook to get you into the store.

I will tell you this, I will never buy another product from them because of this. All they had to do was to be honest in their TV ads.

So anyone going to the Dump, and expecting that you will get a great deal, based on the TV ads, be careful since if you have the same experience which I had you probably will be disappointed.

This store has the rudest management team I have ever encountered. After being told by a Salesperson the price of a rug, we were later told by the Rug Department Manager, Robert Alicia, that he would not honor the price quoted. The difference in time between what the salesman quoted and the time we wanted to purchase was 90 minutes. The salesman in question could not be found and the Sales Manager also would not honor the quoted price.

The Rug Department Manager was so rude that he told us to go elsewhere because he was not going to honor the quote.

Sofa purchase

Purchased a sofa on 12/4/16. Documentation states I was to receive it 12/6. After waiting all day, called the service dept. They stated it was not going to be delivered until 12/12. It was in transit to the warehouse which is 10 minutes from my home. Documentation on paper work specifically states Tuesday, 12/6. I asked to speak to manager. No response in 24 hours. Called customer support again today and was told my sofa is in transit to warehouse and I would receive it Saturday, 12/10. Was told to call Mindy Pollikoff (sales person) who obviously does not work during the week when the store is closed. While she appeared to be helpful prior to making the purchase, once the purchase was made she did not seem to have the knowledge of warranty info, shipping. She asked me if I could take the sofa myself in my car! Asked her if it would fit prior to delivery, her response with a shrug of her shoulders was not my problem. While THE DUMP has some very nice quality items, I can honestly say there is ZERO customer service as others have posted. I am hopeful that a representative from THE DUMP can inform me of where my sofa is, other than transport as their website does not work to track item as promised. I am very disappointed in the service of this organization. If the Manager of the Oakes Dump reads this please respond to my email. Thank you.

A new couch was purchased on Sunday, November 21st. We called the next day to exchange for a better size. For two days store manager refused to call us back. Despite customer service advising that the exchange could happen it was up to the store manager, on Wednesday, November 23rd my wife went in after leaving messages that day and say the store manager Jason Davis on his cell phone. He would barely give her the time of day and said he would exchange anything. We were stuck with it. This policy was never discussed during our hard pressure sales where every other sentance from the sales person were o.k. are you ready lets go to the register.

Yes Virginia there is a furniture store named The Dump! The 1st salesman just started so he needed the help of the second salesman...Wow...started out nice as can be. We bought a off white leather sectional, #2 told us it was all leather..later said Iwas lying he never said that!

It was suppose to be delivered on Friday, they called and said there was a mix up and gave us the delivery fee off plus $100.00. The came the next day and brought the wrong couch or should I say "bait and switch" I've been in retail all of my life. Never have I been talked to like these two ! Called #1 and told him I refused the delivery b/c it was the wrong couch.

There was never gee maam I'm sorry let me see if we can rectify this...oh no he just ripped into me and said "You mean to tell me you sent back the couch that you picked out and paid for, you can't do that". Continued totell me i'm wrong the numbers match and kept getting ruder and ruder, finally I asked to talk to #2. Had to ask him at least 10 times over top of his bantoring.....finally told him never mind i'll call the manager.

Four minutes later #2 calls back and yelling at me telling me I'm wrong it was the same couch and I was a liar...ok now i'm getting pissed...first of all it didn't sound like #2 and at the sale we had to listen to his whole life story...he's a Marine my husbund is a Marine and all the great things he's done while in service, where he's from, kids...blah, blah, blah. Well I finally said to him were are you from? He said what ...where am I from...yes where are you from.....Are you ready for this he says "my mama"..that did it for me, I'm taking to a moron so I just hung up.

Talked to the gal at the front desk and I had a picture of the couch we bought so I sent it to her, she was going to compare it to the wrong one......#2 calls me back never said sorry just started in on how they want to make the customer happy...blah, blah, blah....now they were open on Columbus Day and he said after they checked out the picture with the wrong couch he promises that he will call back Monday (Col. Day). That would have been the last day we could be returned our money according to the contract.

Now he knows we live 2 hours away and they close at 6:00pm.....but we were ahead of the game and got there early in the morning and got our money back......then we went to another furniture store and bought a couch, as we were paying for it my phone rings and it's #2 telling me that they sent the right couch and I could have the floor model....lol he was suppose to send me a picture of the wrong couch never did! He waited to the last minute to call so we wouldn't of had time to come and get our money back....I guess he did'nt know we already did....sneaky,rude,sleazy salesmen....

I hope someone gets a class action lawsuit going against them..it caused us alot of stress especially my husband who has Non Hodgkins Lyphoma and just had his kidney taken out b/c of cancer........Don't go to " The Dump"!!!!

Back in May of 2015, went to the furniture store called The Dump in Oaks, PA. i was there to purchase a new mattress , frame etc and spent well over $3000. When i first encountered a sales person Mario, i explained that i was in a car accident and had back problems and needed a firm mattress to support and help with pain. He immediately led to a product line that we never heard of and assured us that it was the Cadillac of mattresses. He seemed to know what he was talking about (although now it seems as if he took advantage of a single woman being there and told me what i wanted to hear and not the truth). We made the purchase and had everything delivered. Almost immediately, noticed that it was the opposite of firm and that i was sinking into the mattress and was having trouble sleeping and experiencing pain because it was not the firm mattress she requested and thought she purchased. We started to try to call and text her sales person to get help but he ignored this. then finally was able to get him on the phone at the store (a few weeks later) and he brushed us off to customer service. Customer service asked us to fill out a warranty form even though we said this isn’t a warranty thing, it was a wrong product sold. . I spoke with a manager named Josh who actually admitted that the mattress Mario sold her was part of a contest they were running at the time and he probably pushed it for that reason. He agreed to look into it and help but never did and started ignoring my calls and texts and opted to hide behind voicemail. I then contacted the corporate offices and spoke with a rep named Jessica and a manager named Melita. They again asked for the warranty form to be filled out. We did that and they immediately said this is not a warranty issue, which is what we said all along. They then said they would have a manager from the store contact me to discuss and help but that was 3 weeks ago and even though I have followed up since, we have no rectification and not even a discussion. I am turning to you to see if there is any way you can help her. This is an obvious case of a sales person taking advantage of a female customer to sell something that pads his pockets and not listening to the customer’s needs to sell them the right product! My friend has said all along that she is willing to exchange it for another mattress even if it costs more and she has to pay the difference. She just wants something that she can actually sleep on for the over $3000 she spent. So far, she has had to sleep at friends’ houses, family’s houses or on the sofa. Please help her!
