We've been living in our home for more than 20 years and we suddenly had a small water problem in our basement. We called a company called "The Crack Doctor" out of Ottawa, Ontario that stated they specialize in fixing water problems and foundation repairs. The person that came to our home was named Michael Theriault and he told us he was also the owner/operator of the business. He seemed a somewhat strange and made weird comments during his visit but was somewhat professional when he explained the issue. We hired him and his company "The Crack Doctor" to do the work and repair our foundation problem only to have the water issues in our basement get much worse with one problem after another occur once they started to work on it. Michael Theriault began was very aggitated and began to blame everyone, including skewarls, racoons, neighbours, my wife and I. Michael Theriault's temperament got worse on every occasion and he began making very rude, offensive and obnoxious comments to my wife and I during his visits. The entire situation became very disturbing and we could clearly smell alcohol on his breath. I finally had to fire Michael Theriault and hired a well known contractor to do the repair. The other contractor quickly fixed our problem without an issue and we no longer have water in our basement. Mr. Theriault still wants us to pay more money for work he never did and is a very disturbing person to deal with. This is the first time filing out one of these online complaint forms but I wish someone would have warned me before hiring Michael Theriault and "The Crack Doctor". The Crack Doctor in Ottawa, ON is a Fraudulent business being run by a very disturbed alcoholic in denial.
