Texas Truck Sales Reviews

Purchesed 2011 international prostar with isx Cummings engine on dec 21, 2017. Put it on the road with landstar on Jan. 2 2018. Put it in freightliner on Irving blvd on Jan 24, 2018 using water. (2 gal every 1200 miles) had put approx 10,000 miles on truck since purchesed. Freightliner informed me that engine problem had been oncoming and no way that it happened since I bought truck. This is per jimmy one of the shop formans. The warranty I was forced to purches would not cover this. I talked to Alex my salesman at Texas truck sales, Dallas, tx. He said he would talk to the owner emmit to see what help they could give. I was informed no help would be given even though it was happening before I bought truck. If anyone wants to view the reports from freightliner please get in touch with me so I can prove my statements to you. BUYER BEWARE. These people are rip offs.

In general, this company has no intention for whatsoever for you to be succeed. They are full of lies, arrogant, lack of competent and rude. I have been a company driver for some years and never own a truck. This is my first truck with this company. I purchase a Freightliner Columbia 2009. The very first day I visited this company, it looks so good from the outside. The environment looks good from outside out and they have plenty of bad trucks in their painted and covered so that you will not notice any issues or fault going on. They will ask you to put down some money even $500 so that they will keep the truck for you. They will also promise you that anything you found out they will fix it.. and all they want you to do is to write them down. It does matter your credit score as far as you do not have a previous repo on your record and matter child support they will qualify you. They also own the finance company that will act like they have nothing to do with this bad company called TEXAS TRUCK SALES. The name of the finance company is freedom truck finance and the extend warranty is called Freedom shield. Now they qualified me after I choose the truck I want. I took it to a mechanic to look at it. The mechanic said is good after plugging the computer on it, however, the mechanic listed some of the stuff needed to be replaced. All the tires are bad recaps, you will never notice that because they all were covered with black chemicals that make the tire shines and look good. After using this tires for two weeks they all blown out. which I towed. since I a month I have used this tires I have replaced 3 tires and others are now peeling which I am working hard to get it replace.

I reside in Louisiana so I rent a car all the way from Louisiana to Houston Tx. After listing all the stuff needed to be repaired and they gave me 3 days to come and pick my truck up. I call them every day to make sure that it will be ready on the day we scheduled to pick up the truck, and they replied to me and said yes.. There's is one called Mishael and Louis they are all from Mexico they are very dangerous and pretends to you as if they are helping. To continue with my experience, the same morning and the same day of me traveling to Houston to pick up my truck, I called them and ask Mishel if my truck is ready and he replied me common then my friend the truck is ready, and I never knew that this is their delay tactics to play their game. Until I arrived at the Texas truck sales that's when they pull my truck to the shop and they knew that I am not living in Houston and certainly I must be in a hurry to go. I have dried up financially and I have never intended to pass my night in the hotel at Houston. I ask Mishel has every I listed work on? and he said o yeah. I went to the shop about 4 pm to look at it getting close to when they will be closed for the day. I found out that the cracked windshield was not even changed, and I told him that the windshield must change that was then he called unprofessional cheap Mexican labor who can and replace the windshield which has been leaking whenever it poured down rain. I ask him what about the engine oil, he said it has been changed. I check on the engine and it was dark as hell when I ask him about why the engine was so dark he told me that the old engine has been there for a while and it must turn the new one black. Is it already time for them to close for the day and Louis the finance manager called me to come and sign the remaining paper work so that I can go home with my truck. All the stuff I listed none of them worked on. The brake drums have been grinded all the way, all of the shoe brakes where grinded up. And they will keep telling you if this truck lives here you will not return it back. To cut this story short. If you want to buy truck from this guy, make sure you have enough money for hotel on the day you are picking up this truck so that you can do a thorough inspection,do not pick up this truck in the evening when they will be in a hurry to close in a day because you will not have an enough time to pick it up. If possible use a magnifying glass to check for tire cracks because they are all covered with black paints making it shine. Inspects all the brakes and shoes, and drums. Make sure they put in a brand new battery. Do not believe in their words because they will charge it to crank the engine up after a few days u will need a brand new battery. I bought 3 batteries because the very day they said I have a new battery. When I change the engine oil and the mechanic who changes this oil ask me when did you change oil from this truck and I said last month. He laughs and said the oil filter looks like something that has never change since a year and the oil is week and dark. Do not buy the Freedom shield extended warranty. this warranty is a joke. Whenever you broke down they must find an excuse to turn you down, the worst is that it is very hard to speak to the claims, no direct phone calls. If you do call the 1800 number someone will answer the phone and ask you some few question, but they are not claims and will never help you out. All they can tell you is that someone in the claim will call you back later. Texas truck sales will offer you this extended warranty but they will not tell you specifically what they covered. All they will tell you is engine, transmission, and differential. but when something happens on the engine they will tell you is not covered. Louis the finance manager is tricky and will never ask you any question you ask him. My advice beware do not buy a truck from this company. they don't care about your success. They don't even have the records of the truck they are selling to you. I have learned in a very hard way as I was excited to open my own truck. I am stocked with an overpriced truck and I have. Since a month I am on the road with this truck this is among items i have replaced. I have replaced 3 tires, alternator, the fan clutch replaced, batteries, the air dryer, air governor...truttle pedal accelerator, bulbs,4 brake shoes and two drums. Do not buy please be warned,

My husband chose this place to purchase a truck. They were wining and dining him during the purchasing transaction. However he was not allowed to test drive. I was a low mileage truck, clean and when it was cranked, it purred like a cat. He was givin a 30 day guarantee and he also purchased extended warranty. As soon as he drove it off the lot and made a stop at a convenient store, he noticed an oil leak. This is where the nightmare begins. Took truck back on 4 occasions, they agreed to repairs only due to incistance of my husband. Truck was kept a couple of days each time. When my husband picked up the truck each time, oil was spruing all over the trailer and he had to replace gallons at a time. This was all in a time span of about 3 weeks, which means out of that time, he drove the truck maybe 3 days total. He learned that they were sealing the problem to get him through the 30 day warranty period. When reverting to the warranty, he learned it did not exist. It is now up to him to do the repairs as he is stuck with a truck that he can't drive. Shame on you Texas Trucks.

While shopping for a new truck I called these guys at Texas Truck Sales. They said all the right things to get me to fly in from CA. They kept trying to get me to put a deposit down over the phone with out even looking at a truck. I refuesed of course until I got there and looked over the lot. after abot 30 trucks I found one that was not to beat up. we worked out a price and they claimed it would take a day to see if the financing would work and they required a refundable deposite of $5,000.00. I said no way is that happening until their is a contract- they said they would take $1000.00 then to hold the truck but it was refudable if we could not agree on the finacing when it came in the next day. So I left them a $1000.00- Of course the next day I had to catch a plane back to ca.

The finance lady was late- then I got in front of her and reminded her i have a plane to catch and she said it only be 5 minutes- the Salesman acted like he didnt give a crap I was their to give them 50,000.00 that morning- so after constantly asking if we got any financing back several times, and waiting over 2 hours in the lobby (I was the only one in the office all morning) I finally went into the finace Office and demanded my deposit back. They freaked when I was walking out the door- they kept trying to get me to sign the contract which she had on her desk- I told them I do not like the financing, I am late getting to my plane- refund my deposit. They agreed and said it takes 5 business days- here I am nearly a month later and nothing- I filed a claim with my bank- that didnt work so now its off to file a small claims suit I guess-

My advice- the sales man Eduarto and the Finance Lady Lupe Meza are crooks and do not ever do business with place- typical oldschool used car salesman- lie lie lie- Most unprofessional company I have delt with ever- worse than the IRS
