Tevin Wells Reviews

  • Jul 15, 2023

February 8, 2023, my grandma saw a post on Facebook advertising "carnival cruise vacation tickets for sale". The post was made by Mildred Mason and it stated to call for further information. The post directed us to call 252-955-1707. We called the number and a man picked up the phone and said his name is Tevin Wells. I was nervous at first buying the tickets from a stranger but after a few minutes of conversation with Mr. Wells we both realized our family is from Rocky Mount, North Carolina and I felt comfortable having the knowledge I know who he is. Mr. Wells asked me how many tickets we needed and I told him 7 tickets. He started explaining to us how he only had 5 tickets and he would sell them half-price to us for $1,800. We still needed 2 more tickets so Mr. Wells said to us he allows us to purchase the tickets using his discounted rate which would total $560. We agreed to buy the tickets and then set a time and place to meet so we can buy them. Teven Wells gave us an address in Rocky Mount, NC to meet on February 11, 2023. We drove home and were greeted by a woman named Deborah. We waited for 30 mins for Mr. Wells to arrive at the location. Upon arrival, Mr. Wells had 5 tickets to the carnival and we exchanged $1,800 for the 5 tickets. Mr. Wells said if we wanted the other two tickets we can purchase them from his fiance and dad. Samone Mason and Ramone Mason invited us inside Deborah's home to go online to purchase the two tickets from the website. As Tevin Wells stated he would sell us two tickets for $560 and that was the exact amount we paid. We were asked to wait as someone had to bring us the additional two tickets. We asked them if this was a family business and Mr. Wells said they are licensed travel agents and the tickets are being delivered from the office. After waiting a whole hour for the two tickets a lady by the name of Tinesha Knight arrived wearing a travel agent badge and handed us the tickets. We left Deborah's house with a total of 7 tickets and we were happy with the purchase. We went home and begin planning for the cruise which was planning to board on June 4, 2023, in Pedro, California. My family purchased plane tickets for this trip and we flew out to the location ready to board the cruise. Upon checking in at the gate and security check we were asked to provide our credentials and boarding pass. Security scanned the tickets and immediately stopped us from entering the cruise. The police were called and we were detained for 3 hours being questioned about the tickets. Later that evening the police explained to us the tickets were fraudulently being sold to us. We were fully cooperative with the police and provided the information we had to help them solve this matter. We were never able to board the cruise and had to return home hurt and disappointed. The company reached out several days ago and apologized to my family and accommodated all of us with free flights and a cruise on behalf of the company. They said they resolved the problem and that the tickets were real but the money was unaccounted for. We were explained having purchased cash would have made it difficult to solve. But because we used our cards to buy the tickets it was very easy for them to figure it out. I am glad we got this solved but everyone needs to be extremely careful with these travel agencies. This family or group of people is cold and fraudulent. They are not honest people/ They lie and steal money from hard-working people and need to be arrested.
