Terra-Trade (PVT) LTD Reviews

  • Dec 19, 2015

I saw an advertisement for a horse trailer on a well-known internet sales site. I emailed the person listed as seller, who told me the trailer was still for sale. I was apprehensive so did not follow through. A week later I receeived an email from the seller and she said she had moved to her parents home in the UK, but the trailer was being stored in Lincoln, NE by a trading and escrow company called Terra Trade, which would handle the sale and delivery.

I was immediately suspicious, but after much research I discovered that third-party escrow services are often used for long-distance transactions. I researched and found Terra Trade listed on UK government websites and found nothing about the company on scam alert websites. It appeared that Terra Trade was a legitimate business.

I registered for an account on the Terra Trade website and wired $5,700 to a bank per Terra Trade instructions. I had ascertained that the bank where I sent the money was listed as the company bank. The instructions also required me to fax proof of the wire transfer to the Terra Trade office in London. After I transferred the funds, Terra Trade sent terms and conditions and gave me a tracking number to track the delivery on its website. The tracking information estimated the trailer would be delivered after the money was receied by the company. I waited for the estimated date of delivery and did not receive one. I tried to contact the company at the listed phone number, but it has been disconected. I tried to access the tried to access the tracking information and the website is now unavailable, I sent an email inquiry to Terra Trade Customer Support. I did not get a response. I sent emails to the supposed seller and the contact person at Terra Trade but neither reponded. I am now convinced I too was caught up in a complex internet scam and have lost my $5700

Terra Trade Isabella Williford We checked on a horse trailer on a well known website. We made an inquirey and was a bit sceptical so forgot about it. A couple of weeks later we were notified by a Isabella Williford that she still had the trailer. She said she had moved to her parents home in the UK, but the trailer was being stored in the US by a trading and escrow company called Terra Trade, which would handle the sale and delivery. we were immediately suspicious, but researched the company and found it to be a legitimate business in the UK. We registered for an account, were sent information and did a bank wire transaction to the corporation. We were put in contact with Delgado Gomez Jose. He sent us a receipt and stated we would receive shipping information. I tried to call this morning after additional emails with no reponse and the numer has been disconected. I looked up the website and it is unavailable online now. I then tried to find it online and found this site with another personI saw an advertisement for a horse trailer on a well-known internet sales site.
