Ted's Used Cars, LLC Reviews

I purchased a PT Cruiser from Teds Auto January 2015 and have had nothing but problems. They had to replace the motor which I am not sure was ever done. Replaced the alternator, battery air conditioner stopped working. Car overheated numerous times and now a year and a half later after breaking down 3 times in one week there is a cracked head gasket. The car was in the shop 2 weeks ago and they told me there was nothing wrong with the car. It had the same symptoms. They are a rip off and do not back up their work. They sell cars that are not safe to be in and dont care. If you call they are rude and obnoxious.

This has got to be the worst car dealership you could ever encounter. First of all, they prey on people with not so good credit because they k is you can't go anywhere else. They sell you absolute junk. I bought a car from there, and they told me that it was in perfect condition. They also over charged me. The Kelly Blue Book value of the car was about $2,500, but they charged me almost $9,000. I told them I want to do monthly payment not biweekly and they all agreed and said it was okay. I made my first payment and thought I was fine. Next thing I know, I get a rude phone call from their employees reminding me to pay again a two weeks later. They claimed I signed the contract to have biweekly payments, which I would never do.

I've never even heard of biweekly car payments before. They threatened me and said I signed the contract and I couldn't go back on it, so I paid. That was the first red flag. Second red flag, my blinkers stopped working about two days after getting the car. Then my back windows wouldn't roll back up, then my engine overheated and broke down on the side of the road. All within the first two weeks of having this car. They paid to fix it, but they put a 2002 engine in my 2004 car. They also had it for two weeks and still expected me to make car payments on it. Everytime time I called them, they would tell me a different day it would be done. I missed work and doctors appointments and eventually got fired. Times got hard, and I was one payment late on the car. They called my closest family members and friends and I didn't even give them they're numbers!

They harassed them to tell them where I was. I specially called teds and told them I would be a week late on my payment, but they didn't care they still harassed my family and friends. It got to the point where I had to block their numbers. They would call me all hours of the day and night from different PA numbers and leave threatening and rude messages even when I informed them multiple times I would be a week late! One of the employees even texted my phone and threatened me to pay then proceeded to call me and tell me that I need to get my life together and make better choices because I have children. I told her how rude she was and that she had no right to tell me that! I ended up being a week and one day late on my payment, since by the time I had the money they had already closed.

They came and took my car and told me they had a tracker on it and knew where I was going at all times. Teds is like the mafia. I didn't realize being a week late on a payment would get my car taken away, considering other dealerships give you some time. Moral of the story, never ever go there. Even if you were as desperate as I was. There's always other places that'll go that will treat you with respect and not harass you like the mob the minute you're late. They even call you the day your payment is due multiple times to "remind" you. Please, I beg of you, never go here. They'll sell you a overpriced piece of junk that'll break down on you and then they'll half a** fix it. They'll stalk and blow up your phone. Walk if you have to but never go here. Like I said, my car was worth only 2500 and they charged me almost 9,000. It's not worth it.

Car was at Teds Used Cars for repairs when I picked it up I mentioned to them they returned my car twice on empty after I had just filled it up Their response was you are a liar and the 2 year warranty I purchased from them they are not going to honor it. I'm going to also file a complaint with the better business bureau
