Surface Restoration service Lancaster, PA. and owner, David Selfon are ripoff artist. He was contracted to perform a tile refinish job for us. The work was horrible and disgraceful and Dan totally ruined the tile and tub to the point that it has to be replaced. We just had the house painted and new floors installed. Dan, the service man that David sent to us was a complete slob. He has such poor skills that he did not even tape off the walls enough to be sure that over-spray was not being deposited on the painted surfaces in the bathroom. The door to the bathroom was removed for painting and was off but Dan did not mask or drape anything to prevent the dust and over-spray for permeating thru out the house. The driveway where Dan mixed the epoxy in the bed of the truck has a giant paint stain on the freshly sealed coating.
He tried to mop up the paint with some solvent but it left a stain anyway. The job was supposed to take two days but after three weeks, many phone calls and returns from the slob, Dan, we knew that there was no hope to reconcile the concerns. The interior of the house is coated in sanding dust and over-spray and was left untouched, not even wiped down. The bathroom will need a total tear out and start fresh to correct the concerns brought by Surface Restoration Service. We have tried on multiple occasions to address these concerns with David Selfon to no avail. David did come to inspect the house after we told him, there will be no further payment until the work is completed too our satisfaction. David, became combative and left in a huff and we have not heard back from him yet. We are preparing to address these concerns with an attorney and will file a lawsuit to recoup our down payment and compensation for damages caused by the negligent employee.
