Sun Bay Builders Inc. is the worst building contractor in the Tampa Bay area. Mike the owner and Chip the forman is fixing Mikes mess up. Chip baby sits Mike.I have Chip on voice confirming everything from back in Aug when Mikey went on vacation .Chip"everything looks good, I don't see anything" Sun Bay will let their painters paint the walls with no drop cloths and leave paint all over the floors and windows and stairs. They don't care and will just shrug their shoulders like “oh well”. They let the painter basically paint everything. They also have their guys drag appliances across your hardwood floors that are 80yrs old and are down to their last sanding without any protection on the floor. They spill glue and builders adhesive and paint on newly sanded floors. Then Mike tells his guys to go around and whip paint thinner on a newly coated floors. He didn't even know that you can’t do that and you will whip the sheen off the floor it’s a thinner, Mike Miano and Sun Bay Builders will not protect you when they don't pay there subs and you will end up with a property lien and put you in the middle of their slimy business practices.
Also Sun Bay has a hardwood floor put in over a garage and doesn't even know that they have to install r-13 insulation in the garage below or the floor with swell because of the humidity and temp differences, I guess Mike Miano was sleeping in Science class when they were teaching that heat and humidity rise and that wood soaks up moisture. Also they use chip board as a sub floor to save $2 a sheet over real plywood. They don't even know that chip board shrinks and soaks up moisture like a sponge, we live in the Florida swamp not Arizona dry desert and over time the sub floor will come lose and squeak like crazy. Leave plywood and chip board out in the rain and see which one weight's more. Mike Miano doesn't know that and doesn't care. When he F's up he blames everybody else except himself. It’s all about cutting corners and saving money and not about being done right. Steer clear of Mike Miano and Sun bay Builders in St. Petersburg and the Tampa Bay area and save yourself the headache and getting ripped off. Any future customers looking at hiring Sunbay Builders and Susan and Mike Miano. Here's the bottom line they will allow foreclosure on the lien on your home and the sale of the property to pay the lien. Also Sun Bay has fake reviews on google and other websites etc after my wife, Cyril wrote them the very first review. Then Sun Bay was forced to have their friends try and discredit my wife, which is funny its public knowledge you can look up the lien against the property here is the book id#18909 instrument#2015253823 go to Pinellas county circuit court look up the lien and we will be foreclosing on the lien soon and you will be able to see that after the papers are filed. Also like I said the reviews Sun Bay are fake, do a fact check to see if Sun Bay actually has worked for those people or are they just fake and friends trying to cover up for Mike Miano and Sun Bay Builders corrupt business. They have to pull permits for every homeowners property and the person who owns the home their name is on the paperwork for the permit with address which is public knowledge you can fact check it with the county online or in person with the name you see in all there reviews and when you see there's no permits and paperwork for that name, then its fake and more lies to cover up there business. It shows everything we talked about and what you said. please use ram board and cover the whole floor which you never did because you cut corners and where behind and losing money from that flipper. I will never sign the release of lien to the lien is paid in full as it states in the courts. To everybody in the Tampa Bay area steer clear of this company and Mike Miano or he will do it to you

This is for a floor that was installed in 1925 we took on the job it was covered with paint. Didn't bother to collect payment for the 1st floor as we still have the 2nd and the 3rd to do and we have done businness with them. We did the 1st floor first we came back couple of months later to finish as they weren't ready to get the floors done. They were behind schedule which messed up our schedule but we still accomdated them.
When everything was done the moment I sent the final invoice that is when the punch list started. But couple of walk through was done with the homeowner prior to that and everything was good. We did the items on the 1st punch list, talked to the other guy who is over seeing the project his name is Chip and he said all looks good. But the other guy, Mike Miano seems to have a problem with everything. When I brought up that I will just put a lien, thats when the punch list even added up and the homeowner all of a sudden is not happy with the floors.
We strongly believe that all along they plan not to pay us, NO homeowner will be ok having a LIEN on their property because the builder they hired failed to pay us. I posted reviews on google I was the first one to write them a review and a week later multiple raving reviews are posted to pushed my review down. They deleted every comment I make on their business facebook page. That is how guilty they are.
