I am writing this report on behalf of Michael Wallace.He is basically being held hostage driving this owners truck for him.Not getting the pay he was promised (.90cpm and got .50cpm)and having to deal with a control freak.
Takes money from driver that should have went to driver for detention pay,motel pay and other crazy things! I want this posted web wide so no other driver gets into this mess as we are trying to get away from him! He was promised one price,signed contract for another after I told him he should have left right there!
Now he's been trying to get back home and he's being told no. He's been out over a month now!!This owner calls him all hour of the day and night,tells him to shower,when to eat and it's just crazy! Mike's been driving truck for over 30 yearsand this is what he does,haul eqpt and machinery.He also can operate machinery.
Just today he found out that he was charged for the motel he had to stay in for 4 days on detention.
the owner only paid him $50 a day and the owner got $2000 per the broker! And now he's charging him the motel bill???
It's unfreaking real what he's going thru right now and he's been told that if he don't bring the owners truck back when HE wants it,he's going to hold Mike's pickup at the yard hostage!! thsi is Texas,that's totally illegal!! I told Mike that.I will have to go get the truck and get it out of there I guess!
I don't want anyone else getting caight up with this crazy owner! He also has him shut the logging off so he can run illegal or not get paid. I think the owner needs blasted into the spotlight!!! This is why good drivers are getting off the road due to these crooked companies and owners!!
