Reached out to them due to someone hacking my account with a secure password. The man I spoke with reassured me if I changed my password that was all I needed necessary. He was fine and helped I suppose and that was the end of the conversation and I kept using it regardless. Then I get a email from a woman saying my account has been terminated due to not following rules. There was no reason I did not break any guidelines and my account was private..makes no sense.
I have had the same account with the same settings for years with no issues and I was always speaking with men on any issue. Then this woman all of sudden deletes my account rudly never even giving me a reason???. Tried to charge me after they deleted my account also. Always paid on time she just cut me off. Thats fine.
I really do not want to give business to a place that disrespects me. Being based in California doesnt help their repuation either. Not the first business in California Iv have unprofessional services with so. Go figure.
DO NOT USE SMUGMUG !! I had an account, closed it, and went back a year and a half later to restart my webpage. When I paid they took my money and applied it to the previous years when my account was closed. When I responded to this as illegal they said that they would refund my money if I closed my account permanently. I did, and sent them an email stating so. Then they responded stating that they had no intentions of refunding my money. Thank goodness I used Paypal, who immediately refunded the money, but now I am in legal disputes on behalf of Paypal against Smugmug. Had to report them to IC3, BBB, Dept of Justice and FBI Fraud Dept.
And that recurring charge you agree to? Binds you to making annual payments even when you are not using an active account (which I am finding out)

What a nightmare. And their print quality sucks
