Skin Novela Reviews

I ordered the trial size for $5.95 each . I only wanted the face serum but once you click to continue it automatically signed me up for the eye serum, then they took $86 out of my account. I called and was told it was under terms and conditions and if I didn't call them prior to 14 days I would be charged. I never agreed to terms and conditions nor did they pop up on my screen. Total rip off from this company. Don't get scammed. Don't try!

I am so upset at this company! They have advertising stating that for nine dollars you can purchase this miracle cream. Read very carefully to make sure no additional fees would be charged. And sure enough a eighty nine dollar charge appeared on my card! These are sample bottles! When I called skin novella I was told I could cancel but still owed the almost ninety dollars for the samples! Unbelievable! Please don't fall for this scam it is one of the worst!

WEBSITES FOR THIS PRODUCT SHOLD BE SHUT DOWN!! DO NOT ORDER THIS TRIAL! This organization is clearly a scam. The trial web link does not indicate any type of club membership whatsoever. The product is nowhere specified in clear documentation that it is a 14 day trial either. The website gives you an indication that this is a real company and it is clearly not a real company at all! They allow you to request the product for the trial price and then when you contact customer service they tell you that the membership has no customer service protocol for unsatisfied customers. That they have a no return no refund policy. No membership that is valid has this type of policy because no one would join. Customer service representatives are individuals not company reps. The first customer service representative was extremely argumentative and unwilling to answer specific questions. The second customer service representative had a baby in the background and it is obviously an Internet business set up to take peoples money. These web links should be shut down and no longer allowed to remain in business.

They bury deep in the terms and conditions that the trial purchase results in a very expensive monthly subscription. Nothing comes in the box to remind you or alert you as to how you can cancel should you decide to. Admitted via customer service- why we would we do that? Then laughed. It's not our fault you didn't read it. Will not accept any returns. When you call customer service you get spoken to quite rudely, then chastised for interrupting even though they do the same and speak to you with a condescending tone the entire time. He told me he can't listen to customers stories because it doesn't have anything to do with it and it takes to long. The product did not work for me or agree with my skin. I was out for surgery and long term rehab, I came home to 3 boxes I didn't want. Tough luck, you signed up, can't help you. The best they could offer was a partial refund on my last order after spending a very long time on the phone listening and listening because they will do NOTHING until they are completely heard. Didn't want to hear ANYTHING I had to say pertaining to what they were telling me even if it was a question! Even if the product worked I still would not recommend it based on my experience over the phone with customer service.

While on facebook an advertisment came through for the cream with fake advertising ghost writer results. as the other consumers wrote the same story, my credit card was charged 4 times at approx $96 needless to say i closed the account and closed my credit card. i called the 800 number on the unopened product and asked for a refund if i mail back the unused product but they said no returns were acceptee. i sure hope all of us who filed a report can be reimbursed! that was a very expensive mistake to have learned the hard way. shame on you ! your tv shows should be cancelled, karma prevails!

If it looks too good to be true, it is. I ordered eye novela and skin novela on 8/22/17 for 4 and 5 dollars respectively. On 9/4/17 they charged my card $89.95 for the skin Novela and $86.95 for the Eye Novela. I called immediately upon reviewing my account.

I was told that the I could be refunded the $89.95 then have my card re-charged for $56. The $56 was considered a late cancellation fee!! The person had to explain this to me twice- because I couldnt believe what she was telling me!! I am being charged a penalty for not cancelling on 9/4/17 (If you will remember, 9/4/17 was Labor Day!!) This company includes the day the product was ordered, all Holidays and weekends as they count down the days - in order to charge your card again. This person also stated that since I refused to allow them to re-charge my card for $56 fee, that it would be sent to collections. I asked to speak to the manager but there were none available.

When the credit never came, of course I called back. And was confrinted once again by an extremely rude customer service representative- who told me she would be willing to give me 30% off the charged price. When I asked for a supervisor- she stated "A supervisor will not be able to help you. Ive told you your options and this is what we can do!" I replied "I understand and please let me speak with a supervisor"

She stated it would take upwards of 35 minutes before one would be available. To which I replied "I'll wait!!"

The supervisor answered within five minutes- this supervisor was even more rude than the agents. Her name was Shelby- Shelby was super condescending, obnoxious, obtuse and purposefully contemptuous!! She also refused a refund but offered 50% discount. She too stated "This is your option! And your $86.95 charge will go directly to collections for non payment so there you have it. Ma'im, what do you want to do?"

Since when are we slaves to online companies? Since when are we subject to false- outrageous charges of items that are worthless? The answer- since we have no one regulating these companies. I will contact the BBB... and I will have answers on this...

Sincerely

One Pissed off consumer.......

This company is a total rip-off, I called and cancelled the day after I received this trial, I just wanted to try it. Now a month later, I see on my bank atatement two seperate charges, one for $89.95 for the Skin then another for $86.95 for the Eye Novella. I called and questioned, and they say well we didn't get a call. so they can only cancel the subscription because I just called this morning 9-1-2017. I read that you can also cancel by emailing. This upset me, to a tee. then I told her I wanted to talk to a supervisor and she said he is going to tell you the same thing. yes that is exactely what he did. Never again will I order a trial from anyone. The super also threatened me that he will not work with me if I complain to anyone even the public, he also stated that that if I call the attorney General I wont win because of something that was written that I didn't see at all. Not happy at all. I do hope something gets done about this scam artist of a company. Please beware people, I learned the hard way

Do not get a free trial from these people cuz it's a scam. You get a free trial them u get charged on the 15th day and didn't know it because the terms and conditions never came up for me to read over them or I would have never signed up. So they charged me 86.95 twice and when I called to cancel or return they told me I couldn't return it that they could only give me 50% of my money back. So basically out that money and they told me if I call my bank they won't refund it either. I'm so pissed and out the money now.

Skin Novela offers a free trial of their product. I specifically read everything to make sure it would not sign me up on an auto ship program. I tried the product, did not like it so I did not order more. I then received an auto shipment of the product and had $92.90 deducted from bank account without authorization. No receipt was issued via email or sent with the product.

I called customer service and explained that I did not sign up for this and had not opened the products they sent. I asked what the process was to return their product and get a refund. They simply told me they would cancel future orders. I asked again about sending the product back to them and was told, "you can keep the product". I had to probe further and ask how I was to receive the refund. Only then did he tell me that returns were not accepted because the product was considered a "consumable". I reminded him that the product was still sealed, never open. He stated, "no refunds", and would not discuss it further. This is an absolute scam and I am furious that this company is permitted to operate in a way that is ripping unsuspected individuals off.

Customer service was very abrubt and seemed to be used to this kind of call. Makes me wonder how many people are experienceing the same thing I just did.

SkinNovela-EyeNovela Offered free trail; all you had to pay was for shipping. Supposedly, hidden in small print somewhere with the offer was a canelation notice.

  • Jun 22, 2017

I ordered a trial sample in May, 2017 of a product called Skin Novela from an ad on the internet. It was $10.90 with shipping.

I received the sample and tried it and didn't really like it so I decided not to order any more. I paid the CC bill on 5/16/17 and didn't think any more about it.

Today, June 21, 2017, I received a box in the mail and the return address said Skin Novela. I didn't open it and will return it tomorrow. However, it raised a red flag with me so I looked at my CC and sure enough...I had charges amounting to $374!!

There showed recurring charges of $89+ for each product (there must be 2 in the box). I was charged for June and July!

In the ad there was NOTHING about automatically signing up for recurring payments. No small print...nothing.

I have disputed these charges on my CC and will call the CC company tomorrow to tell them that these people are a ripoff company and have charges filed against them with the BBB.

In the future, I will be extra careful what I order. The thing is....I never order this kind of stuff...ever. Why I did this time I'm not sure, but I'll be more careful in the future.

I ordered the skin care/eye care trials. Unfortunately, "The fourteen (14) day trial offer for Product includes enrollment in our recurring shipping program, which is subject to the terms described below. The fourteen (14) day trial period starts two (2) days after the date that you place your order. This two (2) day period allows for transit time, which may take an estimated two (2) to five (5) business days. However, we do not guarantee arrival dates or time. When you place your order, we will charge the nonrefundable subscription fee, which includes shipping and handling, of $89.95 USD to the card you provide at checkout. The top of the order receipt enclosed with your shipment will state the end of the trial period. You must contact customer service at least one (1) business day before the end of the fourteen (14) day trial period to cancel and make arrangements to return the trial supply to avoid paying for the trial supply and continuing in our recurring shipping program."

if you dont look at the terms and conditions at the bottom of the page, you don't know what you are getting yourself into!. This disclaimer should be easily found on the page where the order is placed and not hidden. I can't afford 89.95 x2 a month for skin care!!! Good grief!. A trial bottle should be a trial bottle! Shouldn't have to sign your life away for something you just want to try! There has to be a way to get out of this! HELP!

Skin Novela (with several other online names) claims to give you an amazing trial sample of two of their skin and eye products for just cost of shipping. Well, fine print dictates that you're signing up for a subscription for $89/mopnth for EACH of the products that they are sending you. I called and they wouldn't remove the "subscription" claiming it is in our "contract." Very shifty these people.
