Simply Flawless' advertisement is misleading. In my initial contact with them, there was nothing about the recurring charge or much higher true cost of the product at least in plain sight or regular type. They say they will bill you $4.95 for a trial sample and to reel you in further, when they confirm your order, the email says total charge $4.95 which is as you expect and believe.
The bottle is extremely small and looks like a trial size bottle you could buy at any big box or grocery store for $5. So the $4.95 makes sense. Then, you never get billed $4.95. Instead, two weeks later, you get billed $94.95! After you recover from shock, you call your bank to see what's going on because the charge is totally unrecognizable, you know you did not make this purchase. Then you learn it's this $4.95 charge you expected which has mysteriously increased $90. You dispute with your bank and contact the company to discuss.
The company says, ok, send us the product back, unopened and you will receive a full refund. You do exactly as they instruct, but they validate the charge with your bank and deny the requested charge back. Their asinine reasoning for this is that you disputed the charge with your bank and now your account is frozen. The bank says since the company basically "disputed your dispute" of the unauthorized charges, there's nothing it can do. The company says since you disputed it with the bank, there's nothing it can do.
They've received their product back unopened to sell/trick the next unsuspecting victim out of $94.95 again and you're out $94.95 with absolutely nothing to show for it. And to add insult to injury, they say they cannot send the product back to you (that you have paid for because they're refusing to refund even after they told you to send it back) because... you guessed it... your account is frozen. I wonder how many times they sell and resell the same jar with this unethical, sinister scheme. Scam artist's at the top of the game.
Oh! And please note that the number that appears on your bank account to call for the company is a 3rd party company that purports to have no information on the company it represents. The 3rd party company is simply an answering service and cannot or-- maybe more realistically--will not give you a number or address directly to the company. This whole setup wreaks of a S-C-A-M!!! Plain and simple. Think about it, the product must not be very good if they have to resort to these types of tactics to make money. Save yourself the headache and money, don't deal with these crooks.
