Simon Parr's Auction

I hope the police are after them soon. I bid today on an Amy Winehouse autographed photo. I noticed that all of a sudden the piece was listed as "passed" even though I had left a bid. I had also bid on another one and when I looked into that I noticed that it said "registration pending" even though I was ok'd at least 2 months ago. Bottom line they changed it because my bid was too low for them and they even admitted it (they said I was "tight" and there was no way this photo would go for that price) even though I bid their starting price and a higher max. Anyway, in other emails they called me all sorts of things. I believe they (he) are a little nuts and extremely crooked.

First of all I always knew this was a dodgy auction house but unfortunately I needed some Michael Jackson memorabilia. So I kept an eye on the autographed LPs and singles and albums etc and kept asking does this or that come with a certificate of authentication? No no no no. I 'accidentally' won a signed lp. Someone had outbid me for it and I just went with it. But they must have cancelled their bid last minute because I ended up winning it. Before paying I got a PSA/DNA Quick opinion and it failed and I told them there is no way I'm paying you for this. Why the heck are they selling unlikely to be genuine stuff in the first place I do not know. So they were cool about this and the signed thriller lp is back up on auction if anyone is interested. Haha. Anyway the trouble began when I bid and won a rare limited edition pop up Dangerous album which is supposed to be 1 of 4500 GOLD COLOURED first printings of the album.

I bought this because surely not much could go wrong with buying a cd. Boy, was I wrong. So I won this thing. Paid 30 pounds for shipping alone which is RIDICULOUS but I had no time to argue etc. I received the package about 2 weeks later didn't open it till 2 weeks after that because I was not home. I open the package (pitifully wrapped and packaged by the way, for 30 pounds I expect gold trimmings on the box)and what do I find? A plain old ordinary BLACK cd which is NOT limited edition which is NOT what a paid almost 100 pounds for. Now this isn't even the worst part that made my blood boil. The worst part is when I spoke to the 'auction people' and they tried to convince me that there is nothing wrong with the black cd that this is perfectly normal and sent me the link to some other poor sod who also has one in their collection. The second worst part is when the not very smart auction person tried to then turn the entire story on its head and accused me of swapping the cd in for a basic black one myself. Typical con artist strategy. So now of course he has not communicated with me at all since. The invaluable auction site that I purchased this through has also been incredibly unhelpful since it is their responsibility to get the auction houses to contact buyers. Oh and of course I paid for this purchase through money transfer so I'll never be able to get my money back. I'm just lucky I didn't but anything too expensive like one of the Michael Jackson drawings which is what I really intended to purchase in the first place. This story is probably really difficult to follow. Let me summarise it like this: SIMON PARR'S ARE AN EXTREMELY DODGY ADDICTION HOUSE DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM THEM YOU ARE SURE TO BE DISAPPOINTED. Also SIMON PARR'S ARE RUN BY CON ARTISTS. Thank you for your attention.

John Lennon Yoko Ono signed Apple Stationary

Auction Nov 12th 2016 Music Icons. Lot 120 Bought this on line. The description states quite clearly "JOHN LENNON AND YOKO ONO SIGNED. Yellow Submarine stationary signed by John Lennon and Yoko Ono. Supplied with coa with authentication certification number."

I bid and won. In order to get their number I had to ask another Auctioneer as they don't want you to have it. I called. Didn't take the call. Instead i got an email from "rachel" As I was going away I wanted to tell them I'd pay when I returned and I also asked about Yoko's signature which I couldn't see. Her reply.....and I quote........"Hi Piers, The item has been up for a while. You agreed to the terms and conditions of the auction. There is a coa issued by a company. That is enough information for you to base a decision to bid or not bid. There is no point in having a conversation with you as we have no other information on this piece.

We will mark you down as a non payer.

Regards,

Rachel."

We exchanged a few more messages - hers becoming increasingly rude. Finally she wrote "But we don't want you to pay as we aren't going through this or any other conversation with you."

They then sent me two invoices for this item.

They then told me the item was sold!! THEY HAVE SOLD THE ITEM I BID AND WON TO ANOTHER FROM MORE MONEY AFTER THE EVENT!!

They will not respond to my messages!!

THESE PEOPLE ARE SCAMMERS!!

THEY ONLY ACCEPT PAYMENT VIA BANK TRANSFER - NO CARDS, PAYPAL ETC. WHY? BECAUSE IF YOU ENTER INTO A DISPUTE WITH THEM ITS ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE TO GET YR MONEY BACK!!

THEY ARE DISREPUTABLE!!

Simon Parr

This chap is not to be trusted in the slightest. I have seen him in action with his scams and diabolical packaging, with comments about how stupid his customers are. Avoid like the plague! he runs his business from a house in one of the roughest areas in the North East!

NON PAYER AND SCAM ARTIST.

This person actually has bought many items on Invaluable and refused to pay. She is from Australia and has numerous strikes against her. The Thriller lp she is referring to came with a JSA coa, and she did a PSA DNA quick opinion and they couldn't render an opinion.

So out of the 28 items she's won and 25 she's not paid for, she is a surreal none payer.

NOT TO BE TRUSTED.

Scammer

Simon Parr is a scammer. He is 5feet tall and has a 32 inch chest. He is the scum of scammers who have no conscious at all. He uses different names in emails to slander other people in order to detract the attention from himself. Be warned he really is a lowlife little man from a sum area in Newcastle

I have not encountered anything quite so amateurishly executed as the greta garbo lot, lot 658! it was copied/traced/forged by someone who had not even mastered the art of fluency in executing a signature. That autograph is definitely not authentic, despite the coa! yet samantha brown had attempted in pursuing me for an additional £119 for it! now, this is the second time in which i have questioned the authenticity of lots which i have 'won' from simon parr, and declared my dissatisfaction! the first, i informed by telephone, samantha brown of my disgruntlement, on the immediate receipt of that parcel, which included john wayne, billie holiday, and dr seuss! it is a mystery that his whole venture has not been pursued, and closed by the trading standards authorities, by now!

Simon Parr Scam Artist as well as Forger

I recently saw a Dick Bruna up for sale on eBay and it was posted as " Dick Bruna drawing fro Simon Parr at £15.00 and when I looked at Kirsten Leigh Auctions it was listed for £300.00 to £450.00 and being genuine when the eBay listing was sold as a copy. I also noticed a Matt Groening drawing of the Simpsons Family on there and did a search only to find an exact copy being sold on eBay, however, the one on eBay was not as shaky and was obviously the genuine one and he has copied it and put it up for sale. I have purchased several items from Parr Auctions up until 2016 and attempted to get refunds as the COA's he was using had a contact open them and when I contacted the authenticator he told me the COA's were forgeries and he had not certified the items for Parr Auctions and had the Police visit him with numerous complaints about authenticity of the items. He further told me he had given a statement to the Police about the COA's being forged in his name. I was also given the name of two other buyers and when I contacted them they too had the exact same experience with Parr. He now sells on any auction platform he can and does not care who reports him as he thinks he is beyond the Law, well Parr you are wrong as one of your experts was arrested by the Police and had hundreds of items seized and the Police are now in possession of a lot of your crap you have been selling and moving house make no difference as you are easily tracked down and using a woman's name on your auction s who you used to know was enough to help the case as your I.S.P address is the same no matter what you do idiot. I look forward to seeing what you have to pay back to all the people you sold to you scum bag.
