I have filed 2 claims with Select Home Warranty. The first was regarding a washing machine that was leaking oil. I filed a complaint on 3/31/16. I was assigned a contractor who was not in business. I called back and waited for 2 days and then was assigned another contractor who told me he repeatedly had told Select Home Warranty that they did not service our city. I was assigned a 3rd contractor who never returned my calls. I was asked for a supervisor who immediately offered me $2oo to settle. At the time I thought that was o.k. but in reality they should have fixed my washer. AFter talking to a repair shop they told me that once a washing is leaking oil it needs to be replaced. So, have you ever tried to buy a decent washer for $200.
Now my air conditioner is not working. I filed a complaint on 4/26/16. It is May 13, 2016 and it is still not fixed. A repair company came out, told me I had a breaker issue and he had fixed it. It wasn't working when he left and he knew it. I called back and they told me that he would come back. A week later he came out and told me that my unit needs a freeon leak test and my air conditioner needs cleaning. Ironically, Select Home Warranty does not cover "inspections" so now I am waiting for a supervisor to call me back. It has been 18 days without air. I live in the south and it is very humid and uncomforatable.
