I am a refrigeration, air conditioning and food service equipment contractor. On the week of November 28th, I was called by Rick and Jyoti Benisasia owners of the seaspray hotel to come repair several pieces of equipment in the restaurant on the top floor so they could open it for business. They already owed me money for previous ac work but swore to me that they would write a check for the full amount when I was done with the restaurant. The equipment was in terrible condition because of lack of maintenance and cleaning that it took me 3 full days between getting parts and doing the work. I spent late hours there. Way more than the 21 hours that I only charged for. After writing the bill and handing it to the owner, he told me it would be a few minutes and he would meet me up at the restaurant to give me a check. Time went on, so I went to the front desk and found out that he and his wife jumped in the car and took off. I called and called but they never answered and never called back. Now its gotten into a battle. These people and Im not the only one saying this think everyone owes them something and they shouldnt have to pay anyone anything. If youre ever in Florida, stay clear of the SeaSpray Inn.
