In September 2020 I employed Samra Knezevic to work in my assisted living home which is located on the northwest side of Tucson, in Arizona. I hired Samra knezevic as a CNA to take care I love my elderly residents. Soon after I hired Samra Knezevic I started receiving complaints from the residents that she was mistreating them, calling them names, using curse words and ignoring their request for diaper changing. I installed video cameras with microphone in the areas that Samra Knezevic worked, and in addition to verifying the complaints against her, I also discovered that Samra Knezevic was stealing the residents personal property, like jewelry, money and also their prescription medication.
I made a big mistake in hiring Samra Knezevic on her word without running a thorough background check on her. I later found out that she had worked for another Assisted Living facility called Villa Hermosa, and she had been fired from there too for similar circumstances. Nevertheless, I terminated Samra Knezevic's employment immediately.
