Stay Away

Sent in 2 belts and a module for repair. paid $275 for all 3. After 2 weeks I online chatted with their service person (because they will not answer their phone) and they said they were in shipping which I had the tracking number but had not seen any movement in over a week. Supposedly sent the priority mail which is guaranteed 2 day shipping. after another week and numerous chats they told me to work with the USPS to track it down myself. USPS could not find the package (another week). Chatted with the service person again and they said they found it and it is being returned to them due to postage not paid. (found out later this was a blatant lie) 3 more days and chatted again, they can not find the package anywhere and that I needed to file a claim with the USPS. USPS said they were the shipper so they needed to do this. At this point I wanted a full refund and my belts and module back but oh no. In the fine print, Safety restore only insures the package for $100 so anything over that you are just SOL. in all I was on chats for over 8 hours (they respond slowly) and left 12 voicemails (never got a single call back) I am now out my belts and module. After many emails later they agreed to refund what I paid for their service $275 (was another week). I was still out my shipping charges $25 and I no longer had belts or module to repair so had to go find used ones (should have done this in the first place. The whole ordeal was over 2 months. They are at best scammers and do not take care of customers. PLEASE do not use this company, you may get lucky but you could just as easily get burned as I did. This is the worst customer service I have ever experienced with any company anywhere. RUN AWAY!!!!!

We found Safety Restore on ebay and needed all 4 of our Audi seatbelts re-set. Safety Restore showed on Ebay that each seat belt would be $59 and we put in our specific vehicle to verify that was the correct price and they could repair the seat belts. We sent the belts in and the guaranteed turnaround time was 24 hours. This was April 11, 2013. We did not get our seat belts back for over 2 weeks. This alone is very frustrating because this made our vehicle not driveable for all that time with no seat belts (vehicle had been in an accident). By the way, it is now May 20 and vehicle is still not driveable......

After filing a complaint with Ebay about the extended length of time it was taking to get our belts returned to us, they said they were waiting on parts and that they would ship out by that Friday. We then received a notice from teh company saying we would have to pay an addtional $40/seat belt (total of $160 additional) because they were dual stage seat belts. After talking to the company we determined we had to choice because they had our seat belts and were holding us up to get our vehicle back on the road. I tried paying that on ebay but they said that we would have to pay them directly into their paypal account, which we did. We received them the following Friday.

The seat belts were reinstalled into the vehicle but the codes would still not reset on the vehicle. We paid several people to try to determine what the problem was with the codes and even installed additional (expensive) parts to try to correct the problem. Finally it was determined that the seat belts had never been reset.

We tried to get in touch with the company but only get voice mail saying they are remodeling but cannot leave a message.

DO NOT SEND ANYTHING TO THIS COMPANY. IT IS A FRAUD!

My dog chewed my seatbelt so I looked on ebay for a repair service. I found Safety Restore (SRS Restore), $59.00 to repair the belt seemed preferable to buying a new belt for hundreds of dollars. The website advertised a two day turnaround. After sending my belt in I got an email from ebay saying there was a delay due to parts and it would be an additional 3-5 days. No big deal. Then I get another email from ebay saying the posting has been removed due to failure of the vendor to comply with ebay rules.

I emailed the company after that and got a reply the same night from James Conway Jr. saying that my belt was repaired and that it would be in the mail on monday. No such luck. I called and emailed repeatedly after that. The calls were initially answered with a computer saying the person has a voice mail that hasn't been set up yet. Then there was a computer saying that all parts would be shipped by May 6. This is already three weeks after I mailed my belt in. On May 6, the message changed to say they were undergoing renovations and would reopen soon.

Paypal is trying to recoup the money from these people but the first reimbursement check from Artem Martynyuk declined, I am still waiting for a refund. Ebay and Paypal both say they can't do anything about getting my seatbelt back from these people and advised me to file a claim on the IC3 website for the FBI, which I did.

It would have been cheaper for me to just buy a new belt since I've had to activate the insurance on my other vehicle for over a month now plus buying a new seatbelt to replace the one they stole. Stay away from this company, I read a few reviews that were negative before I did business but they were all answered by James Conway Jr. and seemed very professional. I also read some good reviews supposedly from small business owners, mechanics and such. I thought maybe the complaints were just some disgruntled employee or customer. Unfortunately not.

This company is a fraudulent agency that will steal your money and your parts. Try looking at a junkyard for the seatbelt, I can guarantee it will be cheaper than having your stuff stolen by these crooks.

Bought the repair service for my seat belt which had a broken retractor spring through eBay. I mailed the seat belt to them, then recieved a notice that they were kicked off eBay due to complaints of service. I attempted to contact them through their website, email, customer service phone number, and Facebook with only a responce on Facebook which quickly ended after I provided the information they requested. I contacted the owner of the auction through eBay once, before that phone number was no longer accepting messages. Finally contacted their local mayors office. I was mailed back the seat belt which has now been vandalized and in worst shape than when I sent it almost 4 months ago.

Only positive feedback is from local people so it seems face to face buisness is ok, but others have to suffer.

Purchased seat belt refurbish service on Ebay. They kept my belts 5 days when they were suppose to be fixed over a 24hrs period. They "diagnosed" by belts as being good, and sent them back to me without needing repair. Well belts were not good, and they sat on the sales order and did nothing for 5 days. When I received parts back I did install them, vehicle trouble codes conformed parts are not repaired and not good. Used parts from a salvage yard were purchased and installed with no codes from same vehicle and car is fixed. So belts were proven to be the issue at hand. Safety Restore was notified about this and then they started with the accusations and immature name calling. They are an extreamly immature company. They called me a druggie and now claim seat belts smelled like weed... Ugh.. So the seat belt were fine according to them initially, but now they smell. First I heard of that.. lol. So after this goes on Safety Restore now contacts Ebay and says I never paid for the service they performed (actually never performed technically). Right... They won't work on a product without having received payment (normal) and they WERE paid. I have emails form Safety Restore stating I even paid. More immature desperate attempts from a company that shouldn't even exist in the first place by treating people they way them do.

I hope others research this company and send their buisness to other cpmpanied bassed off this report. There are other companies who offer this service for the same costs. Those companies also have a much better reputation.

Look up Safety Restore on the BBB website. Another tell tell this company is an issue. D or F BBB rating...

Ask yourself, do you want a company who behaves like this working on such a safety critical item in your vehicle. Your life can very easily be effected by an item this company is touching, NOT GOOD THERE!!!

There are THREE LEVELS of Federal Regulations that this company does NOT adhere to...furthermore they are petty complainers who instead of doing what is RIGHT they instead complain against people and companies they don't even know who do OBEY FEDERAL LAWS.

Here are the Three Federal laws which when complied with cost the company around $40,000 and about 3-6 months to accomplish:

Federal Regulations dictate that those who repair or rebuild seat belts MUST be licensed with the Federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms & Explosives before they can even house the explosives used to repair seat belts.

Federal Law then requires that the Licensed Company has their business location certified as a place of business that can legally house and hold explosives. The CERTIFIED SAFE FOR EXPLOSIVES COSTS >$3,000.

Federal Law states that the business must have a Certified Explosives Expert to perform an explosives test on each of the SPECIFIC TYPES OF SEAT BELTS...and then it is legal for that company to do business as a seat belt repair company.

When these three Federal Laws are complied with, then and only then can the company begin to advertise, and sell services as a seat belt repair service. Then the company must abide by all SHIPPING LAWS...

A Certified Seat Belt Repair Company must then follow all Dept of Transportation laws contained in CFR 49 which state that the company must be certified by the Three Federal Laws.

A Certified Seat Belt Repair Company must then have a Federally Certified HAZMAT response insurance company

A Certified Seat Belt Repair Company must properly label each item

A Certified Seat Belt Repair Company CANNOT use any of the following Postal Carriers:

USPS

UPS

Beware of this company. I have sent the same airbag module to this company twice each time it was returned with a hard code still recorded in the module rendering it unusable. Despite repeated promises to refund the monies paid for the service they have not made a refund after two weeks. Despite their claim that module was defective it was sent to another company and reprogrammed and cleared in one day. The phone is answered by a Clark which passes the refund request to his so-called account manager David, which passes it to the refund manager Stephen that has no authority to refund and passes it back to Clark. Beware this is a sham operation!

They will not refund your money. They have and F with the BBB.

I have been waiting for 6 weeks for a seatbelt and have not been able to get in contact with anyone to tell me what has happened to it. I have been very patient and polite but am now at my wits end. Aside from losing my item, they promise to call back and never do, they don't have a voicemail set up, they don't answer emails, and they say anything to get you off the phone. Clark, David, and others appear nice at first and promise to 'look into it' and you never hear from them again. They have now blocked my number hoping it will go away. I am going to the BBB Facebook and twitter about this company. Hopefully, I can save some folks the nightmare I have gone through! Please STAY AWAY from this company at all costs!

This company is full of liars and thiefts. I send my seatbelt to them on march 26 and on april 6 I started calling them to find out when I will receive my seat belt back. First time I spoke with Clark who assured me that everything is ok and they will ship my seat belt next day. BIG LIE!!!!Starting april 7 I start calling them everyday, they will not aswer the phone or block my number or saying that will be shipped next day. After I escaled the case on the Ebay, I received my money back because I was protected my Ebay but no seatbelt. I called them again but now they saying that are on renovation. I made a complain on IC3 site involving the FBI too. I hope something will resolve. DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY. THE ARE LIARS AND THIEFTS.

June 2016 And still not putting out a quality product!

I sent 2 sets of seat belts and air bag computer modules into this company to get repaired and reset. When I got them back we installed the belts and modules in the Equinox and the air bag light was still on but the belts did retract like they should. So we it put on the scanner it told us the all 4 Pre-Tensioner were still bad so we took them out and you could see that the Pre-Tensioner were still pulled down and were not repaired or replaced like they said they would do. Also when I called them they told me they could not reset the computer modules. That would have been nice to know before I put them back in the car. They said we put a sicker on it saying we were not able to reset them. There was no sticker on them. So I got no refund on the 100.00 bucks I spent on that. Then I sent back the belts to Safety/Restore to get them fixed again. When they came back the second time the plastic below the buckle was cut off so it didn't look like it had been deployed and the cable that stuck out the end had been cut off. That is all they did to them and returned them to me. I still have not got a refund on the extra shipping it cost to send them back to them the second time. This Just happened in June 2016. I can't get them to refund my money for the belts or the shipping.

They wanted me to send them back again I could not wait for them any longer and I did not want to take another chance on them. I had to buy new belts from GM.

They will not refund your money. They have and F with the BBB

Also Beware They also go under a different name (Repair my SRS) As well as Safety Restore. Both Company’s have the same phone and Mailing address.
