They demand payment of the extra charges in cash so they cannot be pursued by credit card companies for cheating customers. Then, they will not honor their promised move-in delivery date, saying the fine print in their contract does not guarantee delivery by the date they promise. Our delivery showed up four weeks late, in a truck with one driver and zero movers. The driver demanded an extra $4,000 in cash to unload the truck and said that if we did not pay, we would never see our belongings again. Then, he left our belongings in the street, where some items were taken by people driving by. The company claims to pay only six cents on the dollar for any lost or damaged items, but don't don't expect a dime in reimbursement.
