When I bought my 2007 Toyota Camry I was so misled and sweet talked. There were issues in the front end that need fixing and it was insisted there was nothing wrong, even though it was driving off to the side and when you turned the steering wheel it was making this squeeking noise. I took it to a mechanic within 10 days of purchasing the care to have it looked at and was told it needed all new tie rods, alignment and brakes. I was also told that the car should never have passed inspection as it was unsafe and that he must have some sort of deal with the inspection station. I put over 1000 miles on the car going back and forth about this problem all the while the car is pulling so much. Everytime i went back his mechanics couldn't seem to find anything wrong with it. They must not be mechanics to see the obvious.
I would leave there with nothing done and the Brendan and I arguing everytime. I went and got an alignment and with the read out of the tires I was told and shown how off everything was and that it was an unsafe car, again another deal with the inspection station. Two mechanics saying the same thing. Finally on one visit they suddenly found a problem and it wasn't the tire rods. Said Brendan. He held onto my car for over two weeks running past the thirty days. Saying they needed to order a special part. Suddenly now something is wrong..? Not only did it have more miles on it then when I dropped it off, he told me a completly different thing was fixed and then refused to give me any paperwork as to what was done and had me write it on a piece of paper. He then told me it was the tie rod, not the CVB boot he told me originally.At one point I was calling him so much that his wife would answer and yell through the showroom that his girlfriend was on the phone and then would hang up on me. This is still an ongoing thing with the car. Lied about the tie rods because I had to have them replaced and the car is so off and still wanders. I tried the emergency brake two months after I bought the car and there was nothing. None at all.
He tried to say the inspection station only looked to see if the light came on. We then got into a fight and he kicked me out of his shop. He would not take the car back! When I called the inspection station the owner was very nervous and insisted he didn't deal with Brendan because he was so shady. Yet my inspection sticker was from his station. Because they passed an unsafe care I am stuck putting money into it and its still no good. I am out many, many thousands of dollars and still making payments on a car I can't even take on the highway. When I did take it on the highway, the tire pressure ight comes on. with it wandering so much it is defintely not safe. He lied about a few other things as well. Hes taking money out of my account every week without fail. I want to stop paying but then they would come get the car. I have paid him directly $7000.00 Not including all of the things Ive had to fix and the exsisting problem I'm trying to take care of. The car was in some sort of accident which the carfax I was shown had no report of it. Someone backed into me and the bumper ripped right off! Theres another $500 for that and now an insurance claim on what was once a clean record.
This man has caused me so much stress and anxiety I've been having health issues because of all this. He was suppose to try and get a bank to finance the car but he never even tried. He just financed me himself. I didn't find this out for months. He is not even reporting my year of weekly payments to him to a credit bureau. He is an awful, awful man. I am absolutely beside myself. All this money for a car I cannot even drive to go see my son in college. I have to borrow a car or get a rid. Hes two hours away.
