I was really down on my luck,i lost my mom to death,i lost my wife & now im about to lose my mom house. Thanks,to preffered law team. They charge me $750.00 for 6 monthes called me every week saying they was just calling to give me an update. When i made the last payment the updates stopped & it was hard to get in touch with (rebecca peace} my lawyer after that. Then, two weeks later i recieved a notice saying that the house was under forcloser & had a sell date!!!! That's when i emailed lawyer & called so much that she finally emailed me back stating "my time limit on my paperwork had expried & i needed to submit new income info thats why house went under forclosure". I started asking questoins like.."The last time we spoke things was fine, what happened?" why you didnt notify me of the time situation or the forecloser before today? all she could say "it was do to the holidays". Which didnt make since because what about the two weeks that came before thankgiving that i was calling you & what about the three weeks before christmas? it took her six weeks to call me back after the final payment & my frist phone call telling her about the forcloser letter.I knew then something wasnt right!!! if you are reading this letter i hope its before you started paying them.

At the beginning of the year I fell behind on my mortgage. i researched several agencies and most didnt seem to want to help. I came across Preferred Law and they said would work for me and PROMISED to get my interest rate below 5%, get my monthly payment below $1000, and my arrearages wiped out for $3900. Up front they wanted $527 per month until the loan modification was complete. I was also instructed to NOT continue paying the mortgage note so i can pay them. Foolishly, I did what i was told, and they would issue a cease and desist on my behalf. They faxed me a pile of documents to be signed and returned and nclude a financial report and a W-25.

They said there were phases and that they would match me to a "loan negotiator". Around mid-July, i got a call from the negotiator saying i was granted a modification. i asked what the interest rate and payment would be. the interest rate only went down 1.5% and the paymant was only $100 less per month (original payment is approx $1400/mo) and the arrearages were added to the tail end of the new loan. i asked if they could get what they "promised" me and they said "take what they offer you and run". They also said they were dealing with the bank lender directly, not with a call center. i asked for the phone number to the bank and it turned out to be a call center. i called the mortgage company severeal times and asked if they had been in contact with Preferred Law and if they (the Bank) had anything to do with the modification and they said "no, it's all based on your current income".

If i didnt meet the requirements, i wouldnt have gotten this since Preferred Law didn't do anything for me. iwas close to losing my home. I am trying to attempt at getting my money refunded since there was almost no real adjustment to my loan that was anywhere closed to what i was promised. All i want is my money back and to make sure other folks arent preyed upon like myself.

Persons i were in contact with at Preferred Law are Bobbi Collins and Misty Framton. No one has contacted me in over one month since the modification was "complete".
