I paid $20,625.00 to Rich Tamberino (POOLS AND MORE / IMG DISTRIBUTERS ) in May 2022 for the purchase of a pool. It has now been almost one year later and I never received the entirety of the pool parts. I have attempted to contact this company repeatedly during the past year and have not received a response to see if I can receive a refund since a pool parts were never sent to me. This company is an online scam and should be investigated further. I met an installer who used to work for him and he will also go on record to talk about several people he knows that have also been scammed. I noticed there are over 100 complaints on the BBB website, numerous websites to warn people about the theft taking place, but nothing has been done. I was hoping to connect with others who have been scammed in hopes that we can join and file complaints and litigation against this company. On April 26, 2022 I ordered a swimming pool kit from The Pool Store and More online. Once I placed my order I recived a phone call from the sales manager telling me that what I ordered on line was showing the wrong price, that the website had not been updated and it was going to cost me 40% more than what was shown. Once I agreed to the higher price I was emailed an agreement and a link so that I could pay the $5,000.00 down payment and was told that my pool would be delivered in 6-8 weeks and the balance of the pool would be due when it was delivered to me.
I ordered the Admirals Walk above ground pool 16x32 and the website showed it to cost 1$5,300.00 , once they told me that it was going to cost 40% more then the price became $19,700.00. On April 29, 2022 I recieved the email wiht the agreement and a link to do an online check for the $5,000.00, check number 1495 wnnt through May 02, 2022. I was patient for the 8 weeks and when I had not recived my pool I called to check and was given an excuse about a problem with the deck rails. I have called them several times and always been given an excuse, then the 800 number listed on the website was disconnected, I still continue to leave messages on the cell numbers I had for them and send emails but they no longer respond at all.
