On Aug 30, 2018 I talked with Jeff Davis on the phone, and later with email. We agreed to a price of $500, paid in full beforehand, for which he would investigate another person for five hours, including internet and records search. After thirty days, he told me, I would be given a report.
I contacted Davis after three weeks. He said, "Wait until a month." After forty days, I had still not received a report. I sent him an email asking where my report was, and he did not reply. I then sent another email, saying that I either wanted a refund of my $500, or else the investigative report he had promised. Still no reply.
It seems that this "investigative" company does nothing except look for suckers who will pay them up-front, and then, the company ignores any complaints.
As a consequence, I have filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and am contacting the District Attorney's office.
