I had my propane tank filled when I moved in over a year ago paid it in full by credit card at time of delivery. I still had 40% when they sent me a bill for $100. So I called to find out what was going on. They charged me for non use. I was very polite at first but the lady on the line was extremely rude and told me they are not making enough money off their equipment sitting at my home. I told her I’d make some phone calls because I do not see this as a legal practice. How can you charge someone for something they did not use. I’m a single mother of two children I guess I didn’t use it enough. Before I was able to call them back they removed the tank from the property with the propane that I have already paid for. They did not call me to let me know they were going to remove it. This is bad business practices all the way around. I will not use this company again and am extremely disappointed in the way they handled this issue.
I called Pit Stop Fuels to order propane. They gave me a price that was twice the state wide average for propane. I found a dealer who charged less than half of the Pit Stop quote and then called Pit Stop to pick up their propane tank. Shortly after picking up their tank they sent me a bill for $100.00 for picking up their tank.
