This company convinced me to join them saying that I could become financially free. That I was going to have to bring my wife in so, that she could see what I was going to be doing in the business.

They convinced me to pay $150.00 for a box that would have all my training materials in it and that it would be mailed to me.

When my wife came in with me to do my "fast starting" appointment. They told us that now that we were part of their company and if we were going to go out and "help" families, we would also have to fill out paperwork to get ourselves covered as well. They said how can you go out and represent our company if you don't also have the products.

My wife and I ended up having to agree to pay out almost $250.00 a month, or they said they wouldn't work with us because we weren't coachable. But I told them I already paid for the box. Why they don't tell me this in the beginning. I told them I want my money back they say no it is too late. WOW! So friendly in the beginning and so mean sfter I pay.

Ok.....we agreed to do that. Then they said you have to register for the next big training in Las Vegas and that woudl also cost us another $125.00.

My wife and I started to feel a little pressured. The reason we joined this company was to make money and not spend more money we didn't have yet.

Then they told us we have to pay for our license. Ok, that cost another $59.00 that I didn't have but, we are wanting to make more money so, we did that too.

We got our logon name and password for the website they told us to go to so we could see all the "back office" stuff.

I looked at all the info in the back office and it showed how many people they are brining in to the company every month. The more I looked at it the more I realized that they are not growing at all. Hardly anybody is signing up. I compare the numbers from last six months and it is getting smaller and smaller.

I think maybe I made a mistake. The say they are growing but they are not growing. They are getting smaller. They say they have many offices but they do not have many offices.

They say they have 3,000 people with the company but nothing seems bigger.

They talk about faith and god but I think they do it to make you like them.

I think I made a mistake to join this company. They don't tell you everything upfront.

This is not good. Mybe the people are nice people but I don't think this is for me.

I applied for a job at ventura county and this lady called me at 6 pm claiming that I was referred over by the county for a position, I was astonished about the information she was giving me as I don't think is county practises to pass on or sale information to outside sources.

I decided to play her game and listen to what she had to say, I'm not new at this kinda game and was at one point taken advantage off by someone else whom shall remain nameless but after listening to the SCAM I decided to make an appointment to see what she was talking about.

I did not make it to the appointment as I decided to look this company on line and read all the comments and sure enough, I called her back and she inform me that yes infact I needed to pay 150 to start and a fee to the state at this point I canceled my appointment and decided to just move on but also decided to write this as I think might be helpful to others and keep you from getting ripped off.

I will call the county and report this as well as I don't think this is correct and as my wife said maybe someone is getting $$$ on the side from the county HR department to give this people a list off potential suckers.

I wanted to let you know about this company posing as a legitimate Job Interview. While attending a LAUDS job fair a couple of weeks ago, a woman posing as a representative of LAUSD asked participants that were in line to please present their resumes for potential review. She obtained a slew of resumes from those that were waiting in line, mine was one. A couple of days later I got a call from a Cathy Medina @ (818) 792-1279 asking if I wanted to come in for a potential interview from People Helping People. The address she gave was 8550 Balboa Boulevard Suite 216 Northridge, CA 91325. My "spidy senses" started tingling and decided to do a background check on the company.

Needless to say the link above came up from Rip Off Report. My colleague who also attended the fair received the same phone call. Please pass this information on to your constituents. It is a tough job market out here, time, gas and resources are at a premium for those who are looking for legitimate work.

Thanks for your time and attention in bringing this scam to the light, for those who can potentially fall victim to this type of nonsense!

(This is an attempt to get you to buy into an MLM scheme not an legit employment opportunity)

My faux job interview was to be held on Saturday, July 17, 2010 @ noon. Needless to say I won't be there, but the joke is on them. I wish I could send someone undercover to tape this charade and them blast it on You Tube for the world to see!

On October 15th I received a phone call from a 'higher up' of the company upon recommendation from a person I met on LinkedIn regarding a potential job offer. She specifically said that there would be no "cold-calling" and I understood that the leads would be provided. She seemed very knowledgable, pleasant and I felt at ease. She then mentioned there would be a fee of $150. to cover costs associated to allow me to attend their trainings to be held in Bakersfield, that she needed my credit card. She also said she would send me a booklet in the mail that would be an overview to explain the process, I might get it the next day.

I contacted the person that I 'met' on LinkedIn the next day and stated I would be in town on the following Saturday to see what their meeetings were all about, but I could only stay a few minutes, my husband was with me. I only stayed a few minutes, not attending the full meeting, just the jam session, then we left.

My orientation was not scheduled until right before their "Breast Cancer Awareness" party, which was on a Tuesday, October 20th and I stated to the person I met through LinkedIn I had questions...one of them was regarding pay because it was not initially answered in the job offer phone conversation as that was mostly a sales pitch and I didn't do a lot of talking then.

I asked about the leads. She said that I would have to generate them myself, ask my neighbors to refer their friends! I said I thought the company provided leads! She said no. After many other questions, I left for a dinner break, and instead of attending my first training I left for home, feeling betrayed.

I texted her that night and said that we needed to talk, and the next morning sent an email and asked for my money back, this was not the job for me,no response. Later that afternoon, another email, no response. I called, her phone message stated her voice mail was full. I then called the boss, she's very pleasant, but sales pitch. She did however state she doesn't dissuade cold calling! I did state I wasn't happy and that I would need to discuss things with my husband. I couldn't state anything else. I later texted her I wanted my money back, to which she stated "I respect your decision, but it's been over 72 hours."

Later that night I received a call from the young lady who set up the orientation asking me if I spoke with the boss, and I said I did, that I would be returning all my materials in the morning. She stated the office would be closed (it was Thursday, the Pink Party) So I asked, so it's completely shut down for business? She then stated maybe some rep may be there. I arrived at the office around 11:20a or so, met a male manager there who printed out a receipt for the materials. I reinterated my story and he stated, "I guess once the trust is broken, it's broken." I said, "It's hard to sell door-to-door in a small town." He said he understood, he works in Delano. He also said leads aren't given out unless YOU'RE AN ESTABLISHED REP WHO HAS BEEN THERE FOR A WHILE. So that is another half truth told to me.

I just feel like I should have been told about the 'cooling off period' up front, believe me I had to hunt good to find their policy and had no reason to suspect initially that I would need to exercise it. It seems like my orientation was set up much later so that the 72 hours would be long gone. I received no training at all and I think it's fair to receive a refund since I no longer have any materials.

We received a call from a Pam P. just before 4:00 PM on 7/6/2010 who said that they were arranging an opportunity to Network with other small businesses in the area. She said that after a brief tour of their offices and a short presentation about what they do. When I got there they had me wait in the Lobby until someone was available to meet with me. Something didnt seem right but I waited. While I was waiting, I overheard a comment about these people being part if this company for 2 weeks and that they should cheer. They then ushered me into a room where they said that they needed to find someone to talk to me. Again, something just didnt feel right. Miracle of miracles, Pam P. was available to talk to me and they mentioned how good that was since she was one of the people who made the final decision about bringing people in to the company. The girl who placed me in the room, I believe her name was Christine, when I shook her hand mentioned that I had a strong grip. When Pam walked in she told the people who brought her in (there was either 3 or 4 people in the room with me) that I was a business owner that I belonged in the Networking group. She then brought me into a room where there was about 50 or so people standing there and she introduced me to Al. Al was supposed to be an executive of the company but would not tell me anything about the company because he didnt want to take the thunder away from the presenters. The first thing they talked about was how Bill Gates invented the computer and about how rich he was and how what he says about making money must be correct. Based on the response of the audience to the comments made by the speaker, I would say that there were 4-5 PHP people for every guest. After the introduction, they ushered us into a room to hear one guy who made bunches of money with this program. They had people blocking the way out. There were 10-15 people in the room and I would say 5 of us were guests. The speaker made it clear that leaving would be rude and when two people did leave the speaker made them appear like bad people. We were in this room for about an hour and the temp was 68 degrees.

I wanted to leave but felt very intimidated by the situation. I also have Parkinsons disease and when I get stressed I can hardly move and dont like to have the focus on me. I waited until they were done. They told us that before we could leave we were to meet with someone for 5-10 minutes. I was able to push through the people trying to get me into a room and was able to make it out the door. I was never so frightened in my life. What I found so amazing is they kept brining Faith into the scam that they were promoting.

There is more to say about the scam but I wanted to warn people that they bring you to their offices under false pretenses, there was no networking going on at all!!

Won 2 sets of 2 tickets each on Yahoo auction site from seller woodhaven317 who used the name Terri Kuschill in Woodbine Ga. She took 94.00 from me for the vuchers I won. Then I sent the two vouchers and 20.00 X 2 to The Guest List for processing and was to receive ticket reservation forms. I never did. A letter from Jeff Augugliaro came thanking me for a donation to PHP and that the forms would come in 8 weeks. It has been 5 months and nothing. No response from either Terri Kuschill in GA or Mr. Augugliaro or The Guest List.

People helping people is a total scam and a joke. its run by a scary very strange character named patrick betdavid. they are a multi-level mktg finance co. they talk about "making history" and "changing america"....in reality they are your normal mlm financial deal with no credibility.

i was invited to a mtg given by the head cult leader betdavid. (my colleague who invited me has since quit and cancelled his super expensive cash value life insurance policy) he makes a bunch of outlandish statements about history and vision etc. the quality of the people i saw was terrible. mainly very young..very gullable .... all with these cult like stares on their faces. they drink the betdavid kool aid. they asked me for 25 names of my friends we were going to go"help" and "train me" with. what they really do is take these names and try and recruit them and sell them life insurance into the pyramid. it was very obvious most all the people there were stone broke and living off of the future promises made by the cult leader betdavid. they parade a couple paid advertisements as "endorsements" to give this ponzi scheme credibility. several companies have already stopped doing business with php...they are down to only 2 or 3 life insurance companies who even do business with them , way too many people who buy from them..end up cancelling once they find out about the scam and the expensive life insurance they sell. you are always better off buying term insurance...look at dave ramsey for good advice on life insurance.

the whole thing is wrapped in god, country and freedom..so poor these people buy that stuff instead of looking at the details of the business model. literally 99% of the people make zero money. i asked over 30 people there how much they had made...28 had made zero. 1 had made $500 in one year and the other guy left a 80k a yr job and made 14k last yr! lost his home ...very sad

if you have a family member who joined this deal. do an intervention! they are probably young and dont have any experience in business and dont know a scam when they see one.

the most disturbing part of the experience was the total lack of basic financial skill and understanding the PHP associates have. As a college economics professor, i was shocked at the lack of understanding of the licensed people. i asked basic questions about capital gains questions, investments etc and these poor people looked like deers in the headlights. NEVER buy a product from these people ....they are scary.

i have no doubt they will be out of business within 3 years, i have written a report to the california department of insurance. many people there solicit life insurance sales without licenses and openly discuss products without any idea what they are even talking about.

this place is a lawsuit waiting to happen.

so sad..to see so many poor people believing this ridiculous pitch. by every definition of the word it is a SCAM.
