PAX Labs, Inc. Reviews

  • Apr 9, 2020

On APRIL FOOL'S DAY, I was dumb enough to buy the PAX 3 COMPLETE kit locally for $250 + tax. I use vaporized cannabis medically to control MS symptoms and back injuries that was once treated for 10 years using morphine. It is not an optional thing for me at this point unfortunately. I am a disabled vet living off a small income.

The vaporizer does not produce vapor. Period. I have tried the manufacturer preferred medium grind, and finer grinds, and coarser grinds. I tried 4-5 different strains, all maintained by 62% packs. All of the strains perform well in a comparable Firefly 2. I tried the manufacturer preferred firm packing. I tried less firm packings. No vapor. I watched all of,their videos; no help. Now, I also went and bought a 3D screen and, pusher ($20). No help. I then bought 6 BudKups ($56). No help. By now, throw in an 1/8th ounce of herb ($50).

In the process of doing all of this, over around 7 days, I noted that the unit was also randomly turning itself off, after first blinking two blue lights repeatedly; FAILURE NUMBER TWO.

So, on the 7Apr20, without getting one decent session in, I contacted PAX. I can't reasonably take a used vape pen back to the store in the middle of a Covid-19 pandemic, leaving the manufacturer as my only option.

I will post the email traffic between myself and PAX LABS after I get this main post published here and a few other sites.

The manufacturer informed me that, apparently, there are so many potential failure, points in the vaporizer, that they all had to be coded in a series of flashing blue lights. The manufacturer makes none of these available to their customers. While using the vaporizer, you must then watch the lights waiting for a failure to occur. When it does occur, you need to see which specific petals of their 4-petal logo blink, and what color they blink, and how many times they blink. You will then be asked to video yourself using the vaporizer.

Utimately, I was told that the vaporizer did not qualify for a replacement because, and I quote Shauna from PAX LABS:

However, regarding the lack of vapor or no-vapor issue you're experiencing, I regret to say that it's an issue not covered by the warranty for a device replacement. However, in cases where we're unable to determine the cause of the issue (such as this) we are able to ask for videos to troubleshoot, which I see you are already planning on doing.

END QUOTE.

To summarize, PAX LABS has just stated that their vaporizer, which they designed and marketed to produce vapor, is not covered under warranty for functionality. Of course, PAX LABS made no reference to that fact BEFORE THE SALE. They sold me a $250 vaporizer, designed and marketed to produce... uh.... vapor, and they don't cover vapor production under warranty.

So, I realized I was dealing with hostile people who had zero integrity; integrity isn't covered by the PAX LABS warranty, after all. I basically consider the $400 spent trying to get this doorstop of a vaporizer working a total loss.

I did try one last thing. Realizing that PAX LABS will try to blame the herb moisture content, I decided to buy and try some dabs in it. NO JOY, and I made a video of that too, compared to a cheap vape pen from my junk drawer. The cheap vape pen, which was unused and uncharted for at least a year, created a respectable cloud. The PAX 3 failed to produce any vapor.

I am done wasting time and money with this junk.

BUYER BEWARE.
