This ebay buyer purchased a brand new 3d printer from me and claimed the item did not work. The item was as described and yet the buyer did not try to make the printer work. 3d printers are not easy out of the box to use.

The consumer had no idea what he was doing and decided to file a complaint and demand and threaten for a refund. When denied he escalated the claim. Paypal went with the buyers info, believed him and allowed him to return the printer. The printer was sent back to me in pieces.

The buyer smashed the glass bed that the 3d printer prints on, the axis which control the printer are taken apart and cannot be fixed. This item was destroyed intentionally.

Bryan Van Almkerk posts false accusations - See rebutal and his BBB report!

Rebuttal to clear EBay buyer Paul Petitpierre from Bryan Van Almkerk's false accusation regarding a Robo 3D printer:

Bryan Van Almkerk is falsely accusing me of intentionally breaking the glass on the Robo 3D printer.

This does not make sense since I was returning the unit and expecting a refund!

Pictures taken at Fedex confirm that there was no physical damage prior to returning the printer. The printer was packed and insured by Fedex.

The Robo 3D printer I purchased was NOT NEW as described in Bryan’s EBay listing. This was confirmed by Robo3D by reviewing the serial number and by noticing wear and attempted repairs to the printer.

When I first received the printer, it had the following issues:

The seller sold the unit as a newer model that supports ABS and PLA printing. However, this less expensive model only supports PLA.

The A/C power switch had no effect. The unit was always powered on and would not turn off.

The USB connection to the unit was intermittent as were the X, Y and Z axis stepper motor movements.

Bryan VanAlmkerk failed to respond to emails to settle the insurance claim after he falsely notified PayPal that the unit was "intentionally destroyed by the buyer" where the glass had more likely cracked during shipping or handing.

Fortunately, Paypal judged in my favor and I returned the unit to the seller. There were no “threats” to return the unit as seller described. I simply stated “I will let PayPal decide the outcome of the case”.

As part of the Fedex policy, the broken Robo 3D printer was shipped back to me for inspection. I received the broken unit from Fedex to find a broken glass table bed.

Funds from the Fedex insurance claim have been used to repair the damage and the unit has been restored to its original condition when it was received. It has been returned to Bryan VanAlmkerk via UPS, and yes, I insured it!

Bryan was obvioulsy unaware I had taken pictures and had purchased insurance for the unit before he filed this report.

BTW, Bryans other businesses recieved an F rating from the better business beureau.

I should have checked this before purchasing the printer. See below:

Bryan VanAlmkerk posts false information

Bryan VanAlmkerk tried to sell a used 3D printer on EBay claiming it was new. It was actually a prototype that had been poorly repaired.

I returned the 3D printer in an unbroken condition with FedEx doing the packing and fully insuring the package. Byran's false accusations do not make sense since I was trying to process a refund! He filed this false report without knowing the facts and jumping to conclusions.

I should have checked Bryans businesses through the BBB where I would have seen an F rating!

Bryan Van Almkerk posted false and damaging accusations without the facts!

Bryan Van Almkerk sold me a 3D printer on EBay over a year ago. He claimed the item was brand new and in perfect working condition but it was well used, with numerous problems with the stepper motors getting stuck, AC power would not turn off with the power switch and there was no software or users manuals.

There was also electical tape covering the heated bed wires as if it was repaired once before by a non-professional. He also stated "It has been working fine for me"...but also stated it was new and had never been used?

What Bryan did not know (before he posted the reports stating that "I DESTROYED THE GLASS INTENTIONALLY AND TRIED TO RIP HIM OFF!") was that Fedex inspected the 3D printer, packed it and insured it for $800.00! I intentionally documented this with photographs because I knew I was dealing with an "irrate EBay seller" who tried to scam me out of $800.00 by mis-representing and selling used and defective items on Ebay. Bryan Van Almkerk is the actual scammer. The glass was either broken in shipping or I suspect likely by Bryan himself when he found out Paypal sent me the refund. I did the right thing and had the printer repaired with the insurance refund and returned the printer to Bryan Van Almkerk a second time. These facts are all documented an can be confirmed with pictures and receipts from Fedex. Now I am dealing with false reports possibly damaging my reputation? A year later

I am working with defamation atorneys now to clear these false accusations and reports submitted Bryan Van Almkerk.
