An elderly patient was not given a blood test as required when prescribing a dangerous medication, resulting in harm to patient. In addition, the medication was not intended to be used for the patients condition. Dr. seems to be in a hurry and will not talk about anything you find on the Internet, even if it is an article from a peer reviewed article from a well know new england medical journal. Instead, she chooses to ridicule you for questioning "her way". When the elderly patient went to another doctor, the doctor prescribed a salt pill on her first visit, which seems to be all the was needed. Permanent damage has occurred and I feel compelled to let everyone know. The symptoms of an adverse reaction matched that of the medication literature, which we told the doctor about, but she didn't seem to give it a second thought and said not to worry about it. It was only after the symptoms became so extreme that my mother was about to die that the doctor said to stop taking the pill. The symptoms of the adverse reaction fit what my mother experienced and were very unique. Do to symptom being so unique, and matching the symptoms of an adverse reaction to this medication, the doctor should not have told her to continue taking the medication. I don't know if she was unfamiliar with all the possible issues with the medication or was just to busy to stop and check to confirm my mothers symptoms didn't match the published symptoms of an adverse reaction. In any case, I now have to spend allot of time taking care of my elderly mother.
