Nothing Paradise or Aloha here. I had the WORST experience in dealing with Paradise Gardens and this was prior to signing any lease. The flakey manager Daisy and her equally flakey staff including Taylor are the most unprofessional people ever and liars too. They refuse to return calls, ignore emails and ignore voice messages.
Every time I called, Daisy happened to be on her "lunch break". I was due to meet with Daisy in November/December 2019 but she failed to show up and give me a tour of the place. This should have been my first clue. I then decided to give her another chance and got an actual tour of the model unit this time in December 2019.
I gave her my check for the $300 holding deposit plus the application fee also in December. Daisy NEVER notified me when I was approved for the apartment. I just happened to call that day and actually speak with her when I learnt I was approved. I was then told about various vacancies. A few units that were held for me were suddenly rented out or getting new carpet or paint.
I had been encouraged to take the unit O-116 as it suited my timeline for my return to Maui. In February, two months later, they cashed my holding deposit despite not ever sending me a lease. I had to contact them so many times just to see the lease which they never sent. I had my suspicions the unit was even being held for me.
Daisy confessed to issues going on in her personal life as to her lack of communication. This is a lousy excuse for not doing your job properly as the manager. Daisy refused to give me a refund for $300 and literally stole that money from me. I cancelled my application because there were far too many red flags here. The negative reviews on Yelp and Google are accurate. I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt (wishful thinking) but they are total liars and con artists. Please avoid this place.
I encourage anyone who has dealt with this horribly shady business to file a complaint like I have and a complaint against their property owner, Frontier Investment Corporation in Irvine, Califorinia. Shady business starts at the top and trickles down.
