We had a deposit on an apartment that we were to get 2nd week of Aug. Found out advertised washer & dryer were not in apartment. Paradigm refused to respond to our concern of them missing or to why the water was turned off to units due to non payment of water bill at the location. WT&S were included in rent. Instead of addressing making their advertisement error right, they extended the move in date because they knew we needed the apartment before the 21st. When we didn't back out after waiting for it almost two months, they broke our contact and rented to someone's else while we still had a deposit on the apartment. We found out they were advertising for a new tenant with a sign on the property. They also were going to keep our deposit even though they broke the contact When I told them that was illegal and I was going to sue them, they did not cash it. They did not return it when I requested them to. Instead they held it as a bargaining chip, which is a violation of the law. Needless to say we sued and won. Read other site reviews and the BBB (this company has a D+ rating with the BBB & a majority of 1 star ratings on review sites) before considering them. You will find they lie, do not respond to complaints, do not maintain the properties and have gotten away far to long ripping people off of their deposits and fees. I did look at their reviews on facebook before applying with them, which were fair at best. After things began to go south, I found they were puffing their ratings. The owner and employees were leaving themselves 5 stars without disclosing who they really were. They even ran a contest for tenants who left good reviews for cash prizes. Instead of taking a chance with keeping good records renting from them, do your homework and find a professional company to work with.
