I own a home that had extensive roof work done by Pacific West in late 2018. Pacific West Roofing completed almost $30,000 of roof work for a sick 98 year old man (the previous owner) and it's my opinion that they may have taken advantage of the situation by over billing for inferior quality work.
Pacific West Roofings work is less than 2 years old. They replaced all of the support lumber (entire ceiling and everything above it when they replaced the roof). This is where the pool is forming. The pool is about 11 feet wide and about 20 feet long. After the 98 year old man paid $30,000 we now have a massive pool of 3"deep water on top of the roof that has to grow to almost 4" deep before it dumps off the side of the house and saturates the siding, doors and windows. The pool stays on the our roof until it evaporates !
There is no way for it to roll off. This was bad enough yet there's also an area of edge flashing that was completely un-nailed and warped plywood leaving gaps for rodents to enter. Last but not least - the original invoice calls out items that were never installed. I talked to the owners of Pacific West Roofing to try and find a solution and was told "too bad" the owner authorized everything. I reviewed the quote and talked to the children of the owner - that's not the truth.
If you have had any work done by this company I highly recommend you get a home inspector to review every inch of the project to make sure you didn't get the same slap shot work my house did.
I'll keep pushing and hopefully Pacific West Roofing will step up and do the right thing. So far - they've avoided my calls for weeks and finally told me to take a hike - no repairs would be made. The owners will try and "explain" this situation yet there is no excuse for this garbage work, the $30,000 bill and the misleading invoice.
Pacific West - try answering my calls and get your butts out here and fix the mess you charged $30,000 to create!
