Pacific power has gone crazy with these charges, I Just recently received my Electric Bill $ 194 and some change for an 1100 sq ft apt. Im hardly ever home and my heat is set at 66 degrees i even installed a smart thermostat inside my apt. Pacific power needs to re read the meter or lower the bill because i cant pay it

We were billed for each month and we paid each month. We were gone a lot and our bill went down. No big deal.

we had exorbitant bills in January 2017 and never called, so when the bill went down we did not call either. After 3 bills of a little over 10 (ten). Dollars we did not say anything eithdr. We get our bill we pay it. Now we get a call and they tell us they are estimating our last 3 months bills based on last year's usage. Because their meter quit working, it's our fault and now they want us to pay a bill we have already paid. RIP OFF.

So, I'm new to Oregon. My only problem is why in the world does pacific power charge an arm and a leg. My first months bill was reasonable due to the fact of me moving into the house. It came out to be like $40 and some change. Then my November bill came in and was a good price $75 and some change. Then came December and I was still doing the same things as I was in November. There really wasn't a whole lot of change in my Electric usuage and I was charge $150. I thought that maybe I was using the heat more then I though. But when I still didnt change my habits all that much except turn down the temp on my thermostat and be home less often I was hit with a bill of $375. I thought WOW!! That can't be right. So now I'm pissed paying almost $400 for a bill way to high priced. Me using less electricity and some stupid dam removal stuff that who knows when it will end cause each dam cost me about $15 and if they are charging everyone that amount it shouldn't be too long till it's off. But the more research that I do it's been going on for about 7 years now. So come on guys. Like this is stupid and I don't even live by a dam so if you could stop that'd be great. Or at least take it off my d**n bill since I don't even live by a river.

First off Pacific Power is billing me for my tentants power bill, the tenant called it in two weeks before they were out. Of course, I am not notified they put the electricity in my name and I am now responsible for their bill. This is not the first time this has happened. I took possession of the home November 27, 2016, my tenant had it put the electricity in my name on November 15, 2016.

Second, the period I had possession of the home until I had a new tenant was thirteen days. I had all the electricity off, including the furnace. With this said I will now break down my billing from Pacific Power:

Power bill from November 15, 2016 to November 22, 2016 = $ 51.97

Power bill from November 22, 2016 to December 1, 2016 = $ 226.22

Power bill from December 1, 2016 to December 13,2016 = $99.88

Grand total of $378.07

This total amount first of all is in no way realistic, no one was in the home for 13 of those days, and I personally turned everything off. Second, landlords need protection against what I belieive is a crime for billing us for the tenants electricity. Pacific Power urges landlords to sign a land lord agreement making you believe you are protected from theses things. It does not protect the landlord, it only protects them.

Not only being billed for my tenants electricity use is outrageous, but the amounts billed, at a time I know the weather was good and there was no one in the home for thirteen days, is even more outrageous.
