This report is being made because I hope to save someone else the heartache and loss of income I have suffered due to Mark Hastings and his failed business Oracle Services LLC of Blue Springs/ Kansas City. Currently Mr. Hastings is in default of unpaid invoices on behalf of his company performed for MCS. My company SOS Field Services of Mississippi performed over 5,000 inspections for Mr. Hastings and his company Oracle Services LLC of Blue Springs, Mo over the past 16 months. For the past several months Oracle Services LLC has been in default due to Mr. Hastings inability to manage a company that should be solvent due to the pay structure he has chosen to pursue. MCS has paid Oracle Services very well for the work that was performed by my company.

He has been repetedly asked to pay the remaining balanace on unpaid invoices to which he does not even reply. At first he made "arrangements" that he would pay on the balance owed to us via weekly payments. To date he has made a total of 4 payments, ranging from 200.00 - 50.00 and now nothing. Mr. Hastings has and continues to ignore phone calls, voice mails, emails, text and mail. This has left us no cjhoice but to remedy the situation by any lreagl means necessary.

As stated by the other company that has filed a complaint as well and ..Multiply this by dozens of inspectors each year and you can see this is a lucrative business for turnover. STAY away from any business this man represents.

His website is now down and I hope he does not start up under a new name. Beware of Mr. Mark Hastings everyone, he will pop up again doing business some where else. STAY OUT OF BUSINESS with Mark Hastings.

Stay away from this company. This man does not pay his contractors for the work performed on his behalf and the clients do not care that he practices this type of business. He will not answer emails, or telephone calls and he has now removed his business webpage. I am not the only contractor that he has stiffed. There are many unpaid vendors. This report is being made because I hope to save someone else the heartache and loss of income I have suffered due to Mark Hastings and his failed business Oracle Services LLC of Kansas City. Currently Mr. Hastings is in default of unpaid invoices on behalf of his company performed for Safeguard Properties Valley View, OH. My company High Country Field Inspections LLC of Colorado performed over 5,000 inspections for Mr. Hastings and his company Oracle Services LLC of Kansas City over the past 12 months. For the past month Oracle Services LLC has been in default due to Mr. Hastings inability to manage a company that should be solvent due to the pay structure he has chosen to pursue. First understand the nature of the business in that Safeguard Properties pays Mr. Hastings/Oracle on a weekly basis for work performed by a sub-contractor like me, yet Mr. Hastings/Oracle Services LLC chose to pay their sub-contractors with a month and a half delay in pay. Given the nature of the business and the volume vendors like Oracle Services LLC are given by Safeguard Properties it can easily be estimated that at any given time a vendor should have 50k-100k in reserves to pay for work already performed by the sub-contractors, and already paid to Oracle Services LLC by Safeguard Properties LLC. Mr. Hastings stated he had over 38 inspectors in more than 5 states when I joined him in August of 2015.

Mr. Hastings lack of management skills are evident in the way he has run Oracle Services LLC; his biggest challenge is his lack of communication skills in dealing with personnel. This can easily be attributed to his youth, under 30, and has proven to be the stereotypical millennial. Over the past year Mr. Hastings has ignored phone calls, voice mails, emails and text from numerous inspectors in the field, one being myself. I haven’t heard his voice in over 6 months and has contradicted himself many times via email in the direction of the business. This is due to him avoiding any type of confrontation brought on by his inability to run a company properly. For the past 12 months Mr. Hastings has been late on payroll deposits over 60% of the time, he has been inaccurate in his invoice pay over 30% of the time even though invoices are created via his system and instructions. Unfortunately, in this business it’s common practice for vendors to hide behind a cloak of secrecy. I have been doing business for 3 years and have been ripped off by 3 vendors like Mr. Hastings and Oracle Services LLC of Kansas City. They refuse to meet, they refuse to let you know what they look like and they require you to sign agreements that place you at the mercy of their company to perform work that they never intend to pay you for. What I mean by this is that according to their agreements you must provide a 2 weeks’ notice to relinquish your territory back to them. During these 2 weeks they load your system with inspections beyond normal capacity and insure you fall behind and become delinquent. Delinquency is one of their ways to keep your pay, even though they are paid by their supplies {in this case Safeguard Properties} for work you performed they can use this method to not pay you simply because they know you won’t spend the money or time to chase them down in another state for a few hundred bucks. Multiply this by dozens of inspectors each year and you can see this is a lucrative business for turnover.

Quick lesson on the industry. Different sub-contractors get paid different amounts for their inspections performed. So for example let’s say I was paid $10 per inspection and my normal work load for a month was 450 inspections. Mr. Hastings was constantly hiring sub-contractors to perform inspections he promised to me when he hired me, but paying them $5 or less. But when those under paid inspectors were not dependable and too many inspections fell delinquent all of a sudden I would have 100-150 late inspections placed in my system to perform immediately. Where normally you have a rotating 50-75 inspections in your system to perform over the next few days. It was evident that he tried having someone else do them but the other individual or company couldn’t do it at that pay, or due to the workload. For whatever reason I could see the results of someone else performing the inspections. This was one of the tactic Mr. Hastings deployed with me over the past year. Mr. Hastings would constantly blame Safeguard Properties for all of the delinquent inspections placed in my system even though he knew I was an approved direct vendor with Safeguard Properties and went through their training and knew exactly how they paid, dispersed inspections and knew about their disciplinary actions toward Oracle Services LLC for the way Mark Hastings did business.

Mr. Hastings has admitted to taking from one territory/state to pay another. Due to market demographics it was common for him to pay half as much in one city/state as he could in another. It’s easily seen how these mismanaged vendors thrive on turnover, during my tenure with Mr. Hastings he tried to replace me more than a half dozen times with cheaper less efficient sub-contractors. Unfortunately, the only thing this caused was for Mr. Hastings to get lower ratings with Safeguard Properties and Oracles’ overall territory numbers diminished. What this caused my company was more work in a shorter time span too complete. Yet Mr. Hastings was constantly forwarding me his reprimands form Safeguard Properties due to his inability to manage territories or personnel. Never once picking up the phone to talk to me about challenges, always simply forwarding emails sent to him by Safeguard and I was supposed to decipher them as “it was my fault”. I have at least 3 of these reprimands in my records where he blamed me for him getting bad marks with Safeguard when it was truly his cause due to him constantly trying to save a buck and not pay my company for on time and accurate work.

I’m truly amazed that Mr. Hastings doesn’t have a dozen complaints on this website and others given the way he does business. He is not a supportive leader and I can’t even recall him ever saying to me “good job” in the entire time I was with him. Even when he recruited me away from my prior vendor and gave me more than 600 inspections each month at the start, never once did he thank me or show appreciation for a job well done.

It is evident that Mr. Hasting will be closing his business due to his lack of knowledge in running a business. But as I have seen over my past 30 years in business he will pop up shortly in another venture. I have seen this more than once and I can assure you that Mr. Hastings will be taking advantage of many other people during his lifetime due to his lack of integrity, honor or care of other people. If he had even a shred of decency, he would have taken steps to prevent me {and probably others} from falling behind on our obligations due to his inability to run a business.

His paycheck shortages of $200-$500 from an invoice of $2k-3k is one thing but now he’s only paying $200-$600 on an invoice of $2k-3k is disheartening. If you are like most of us we live paycheck to paycheck, no matter how much you make. Due to Mr. Hastings not paying, refusing to talk, refusing to communicate how much he will pay and when. That is the reason for this report being make. Please do yourself a favor and don’t ever get involved with Mr. Mark Hastings of Kansas City/Blue Springs MO. You are destined to be frustrated for simply expecting to be paid for work you performed, on time and accurately.

He is currently behind over $3,000 in invoice payments and even taking my case to Safeguard Properties who paid him, for my work performed, they have stated they cannot do anything. So think twice before you get involved in the field inspections business because I can assure you, you will be burned by a vendor and it will be for hundreds, if not thousands of dollars.

Safeguard Properties was warned about Mr. Hastings behavior numerous times over the past year and they never took action. Now they are simply saying “they will talk to him about the unpaid invoices but they cannot make him pay”. This is even despite the fact that I have furnished them reports generated by their own system showing I performed the work, they paid Oracle Services LLC, and I am not being paid. In my eyes they are simply acknowledging the bad business Mr. Hastings is performing and providing him the ability to do this to more inspectors across the country. As of today, Safeguard Properties is continuing to do business with Mr. Hastings in other parts of the country even though they are aware of Oracle Services LLC’s website being turned off due to budget cutbacks and Mr. Hastings only paying me back the thousands of dollars owed to me in small amounts each week. These amounts never being conveyed to me prior to deposit, no communication as to when I will be paid back fully, nor if he will declare bankruptcy before I am fully paid.

Beware of Mr. Mark Hastings everyone, he will pop up again doing another business. Integrity and honesty is something you either have or don’t have, and Mr. Mark Hasting will never have it.
