OnTrac Reviews

Never use these horrid people! I paid for guaranteed 2 day delivery and package was to be delivered on Monday, 12/03/18. When my package did not arrive, I checked the tracking number on the OnTrac web page. According to the website, my package went out for delivery on Monday but was ‘redelivered’ to the OnTrac Bakersfield, Ca warehouse Monday evening and scanned and out for delivery by end of day Tuesday, 12/04/18.

Once again on Tuesday, no delivery! Wednesday morning, same info as Tuesday morning so I tried to call the 1-800 customer service number. After waiting on hold fo 83min24sec., a very rude, snotty woman answered, “What do you expect? It’s the holidays! It will get there!” And she hung up! Did not ask for tracking number, or any info about the package just ‘it will get there!’

On 12/07/18, I was notified by email that my package was lost, seller had been notified package had been lost. On 12/09/18, I get an email that my package had been delivered at 6:18pm, on my front porch. Major problem! We were outside, putting lights up around my front porch! No delivery! No OnTrac truck! No package!

Called the 1-800 number first thing Monday morning, a 76min on hold, I got a different Rude, Snotty person. ‘Of course or driver delivered your package, just like we told you it would be when we contacted you on phone, Saturday 12/08/18’. I did not get a call from them on Saturday, they did not deliver on Sunday! Person on phone had nerve to say that GPS scan showed my house! I don’t care what GPS shows, he did not come here!

Then on Friday night, 12/14/18 at 6:57pm. I get a voice mail message from Ulysses, manager at the Bakersfield, Ca OnTrac Distrubtion warehouse, regarding my lost package. Ulysses wanted to tell me that he was leaving for the weekend but, ‘I will call you first thing Monday’, 12/17/18, as soon as he got in!

Today is Friday, 12/21/18 at 1:00pm, guess Ulysses hasn’t came in yet or Ulysses lies just like the Customer non-support Center, and the drivers! OnTrac notified the seller that the package had been delivered. Since OnTrac had previously notified seller the package was lost, seller had initiated a refund, now, they give me 30 days to return the item or resubmit payment! Still no package! Still no call as promised from Ulysses!

Everytime any of my packages are being delivered by On Trac they never get delivered. The driver marks the the deliveries are delivered so I don't even have the opportunity to pick them from the main facility. I have given customer service the gate code and my phone number to call if he needs someone to come down stairs. When I report this to On Trac the supervisor just says that driver delivered it. So either the driver is leaving it on the street or stealing it. Either way it's a problem.

I ordered some products from Amazon and they shipped by Ontrac. The online Amazon.com order had links to tracking and it showed as "to be deliverede on 7/25/16 before 8 pm. At 8:20 IT STILL SHOWED AS ON THE WAY, then sometime after 10 pm I went back to tracking detail and NOW it shows DELIVERED at 6:37 pm. We positively KNOW that it was not delivered. I called Amazon.com and they stated the following- admitting that some couriers commit fraud by declaring a package "DELIVERED" while it is STILL ON THEIR TRUCK.

This is what they wrote to me:

"I'm sorry you didn't receive your package, even though tracking says it's been delivered. Sometimes a carrier will scan a package as "DELIVERED" when it's still on its way. We expect the carrier to deliver the package within one business day"

Well, I'm sorry. Marking a package DELIVERED before it is on my property, I don't care what you say, is FRAUD. It is not DELIVERED until I have posession of the items.

This may be how the company maintains a 100% on time delivery commitment, by showing stuff as delivered when it really isn't. This upsets me.

I am a retired disabled professional who lives in a facility for elderly/disabled. Many of the residents here are blind or vision impaired. Others use gaiting aids or wheelchairs. Because of this, management has signs prominently placed asking delivery services to please not leave packages in the halls (because of fall danger to residents) but to leave them with the front desk. The ON TRAC delivery service consistently ignores this request. Tonight I asked an ON TRAC delivery man to please take a package to the desk (he had thrown it in the hall because the resident was not home).

He told me that he did not have to follow our rules, that he made his own rules, that he did not want to be told what to do and was generally verbally abusive to me as well as to the building's staff receptionist who tried to explain the rule and the reason for it to him. We have actually had residents with vision impairments fall over these packages in the past. I was struck by the outright hatefulness of this man. I asked him how he would like it if his own mother were a blind resident here and she fell over a package.

He just laughed in my face. I finally told him to get out of the building and then wrote a letter to ON TRAC's corporate office. I have also notified family, friends, and business colleagues to use any mailing service EXCEPT ON TRAC. We have just had too many problems with them and they take a cavalier attitude toward the safety of the residents here. I am by no means the only person who has had to deal with their lack of caring. Perhaps they should send their deliverypeople to charm school? Or at least teach them some basic common sense and human decency.

I have lived on this planet for 70 long years and truly, I have never seen anybody as rude as the delivery guy here tonight. Perhaps he was just having a bad day or forgot to take his Midol or something. In any event, I hope ONTRAC sees this and thinks about this: If they cannot be decent just for the sake of being decent, they might want to instill a little decency in their employees if only to avoid legal action. If a disabled resident falls over one of the packages flung into the halls, I hope some pit bull attorney comes after them. This kind of attitude is cannot be excused or justified. Shame on them.
