This place claims to be a nonprofit but they are NOT. I looked them up after they burned me and other who were on set. I worked for this lady over a month ago DON"T DO IT. She promises to help you in all kinds of ways. I watched friends of mine get burned and she doesn't care. She steals money from people and takes their time.
I saw her screaming at people on set, super unprofessional. When I called her about my money she screamed at me and treated me so badly. Bad Sophia Luo is NOT to be trusted. SHe does NOT believe in unions or anywhere close to day-pay. She does NOT know how to run things on set. Everything takes so long when she is around and she obviously doesn't understand much about running the show.
This woman was hiring and firing people like crazy. She promises people that they will receive credits, payments and letters of referal as well as a bio on their site and never delivers. All of her writers have been ripped off. She promised to give them instant credits, instead she stockpiles their articles for later and fires them.
Furthermore, her shoot with the Ambassador of the UN had three additional credits that she disqualified. She replaced the REAL producer with herself. She sited no makeup artist but both parties are wearing professional makeup. She also excluded her third DP and did not give him credit. What a horribly greedy person. On top of that she uses a trick to con people into working for her.
She offers an hourly wage, but then she doesn't pay for any hours past the first couple. She had one crew working from 1-1, 12 hours and yet she promised them that the pay was 2-4 hours. Total exploitation to the max. do NOT let this woman get by with this. Reprehensible. Furthermore, she claims to be the owner of the company, false.
The owner is her family member and is registered nowhere on here name. Lastly she is NOT a nonprofit. She is an Inc and defines niether for profit nor nonprofit but refuses to do the paperwork 99 form or 501 c form in order to dodge taxes. She pays her employees only by Zelle and cash with no receipt often ripping them off further still by "accidentally handing them the wrong amount".
This woman hires in mass continuously and is known for firing entire crews over her tantrums. She refuses to have a director and has multiple DP's fighting over the credits so she can horde the rest of the credits for herself. She has been running this organization for 2 years and yet cliams zero assets or payments to the IRS.
