Old Navy, LLC. Reviews

  • Feb 21, 2020

On Sunday Feb. 16th, I spend 2 hours shopping the Old Navy website. It as my 1st time ever ordering from Old Navy's website. I'm a single mom and I don't have time to go into the store. I just got a new job and really needed clothes for my 1st work week. So I placed an order using my credit card and chose to pick the order up at the store.

On Monday Feb. 17th, I awoke to find an email from Old Navy saying that they canceled my order. I checked my credit card transactions and found that they did actually take the money out. But still they canceled my order. So I called them. Old Navy said they wanted to do a "2-step authentication." I wondered to myself why they didn't just call me to do that before taking my money. But I allowed them to call my bank. Turns out the banks were closed on Monday.

I needed my clothes that same day, but they had already canceled my order. So I decided not to shop Old Navy online any more and just waited for my refund. Normally refunds take about 2 to 3 business days or less on my Bank of America card. So I'd planned to wait for my money and buy new clothes at a different store.

Fast forward to today. 6 calendar days and 4 business days and 1 holiday after I placed my order and I still don't have my money back. Old Navy still has my money. A customer service rep did reply to my inquiries over the past week and gave me a $20 credit. But I'd rather have my purchase money back than the $20 credit. So I called Old Navy again. After getting nowhere, I called my bank - Bank of America. They said Old Navy's refund hadn't "posted" yet and that in order to release my funds they would need to speak to someone at Old Navy. So I called Old Navy with my bank on the line.

Customer service referred me to some kind of "manager" or someone who could do the escalation of my call. Then that "person" intentionally hung up on both me and my bank! My bank told this poor excuse for a service agent that all they needed was for someone to send an email saying they were releasing the funds and that I could get my money back. The "manager" got flustered and hung up on me and my bank. That pissed me off so bad.

I called Old Navy back and chatted with them online but they just kept saying I had to wait 5 business days and to call back in the morning...after I've already waited 6 days for my money.

Old Navy's online ordering sucks. They take your money before they know if they want your money and then they don't give it back. I have been without my money and my order for 6 days! Old Navy has to learn that it can't treat people this way. I earned that money! And I'd chose to give it to them in exchange for some clothes and they screwed me.

I will never shop at this store again.
